They're a smaller version of petco, so the selection isn't as great, still impressive given the size. They stock taste of the wild pacific stream - puppy (and the regular), which is the only dry food I can find that is specifically for puppies and doesn't contain chicken (my puppy is allergic). It's the only place around I know that stocks it. They didn't used to. They were touting a dog food program when I casually mentioned my puppy's needs as I declined and a few weeks later it was mysteriously stocked. I don't know if the events are connected, I do know it's convenient to have a physical place to buy chicken-free healthy puppy food without too many additives. Especially now that my puppy is larger and eats so much.They also carry frozen dog meals that don't contain chicken, which is surprisingly difficult to find. Their canned selection is more limited than I'd like; my puppy won't eat the same protein two days in a row and won't eat pate. However, they stock her two favorite Merrick flavors so I can get through the week if I can't get to a bigger shop for a few cans of Arcana or something.There's always a good selection on the clearance rack. The self wash always looks clean and in good repair, though I've never used it. The employees are always helpful and knowledgeable. Management must be doing a great job.

Unleashed by Petco is a great place to give your pups a bath and reward them with a treat. :-)My husband and I always take our pups here for a bath and treats after their vet appointments next door at Caring Hands Animal Hospital. The staff at this location are always welcoming and helpful. We recently started feeding our dogs Instinct Raw Frozen toppers in addition to Instinct dry food and I never have any difficulty finding what I need in this store. Thanks again for consistently great customer experiences.

I love this place, I always bathe my dog ​​here, it's cheap and totally clean, apart from providing everything you need for your dog. shampoo, conditioner, cotton, to clean the ears, brush the teeth and perfume! it's great! the staff is super friendly.

It is a great place to wash your dog! They supply everything you need, shampoo, towels, dryer (althought I brought his own shampoo). It's comfy and since my dog is big, the spacius has an adecuate size for him!

This quickly became our neighborhood pet store. We love dog training with Krystal the most. She really cares about her puppy students and goes the extra mile to guide owners. All of the staff is courteous and professional. We appreciate the dedicated parking spots out front, the app benefits, the dog wash facility, and the quality of food and accessories in stock. It's not a big box store, the staff are welcoming and helpful, and the clientele are true pet lovers.

The shop itself is a bit small but really friendly service and good selection of items. They had everything I was looking for and they seemed really engaged when I brought my new puppy with me. I had asked about some ear cleaner and they recommended a popular option and overall seemed very knowledgeable about what they were selling. They pet my dog and were very gentle with him. You can tell the folks working here love animals and want the best for you. Absolutely loved the experience and will be back whenever I need more supplies for my pup!

Small enough for a quick visit, but Brian was more interested in restocking the shelves instead of providing customer service today. No hello, no thank you, and certainly not a smile, "I'll get you right here and here you go" were all he said to me. What Brian should learn is that he will not be restocking shelves long with poor customer service because all of the customers will go elsewhere.

Update: Since writing the review they have gone back to good shampoo and conditioner, great! They also added a coat rack for humans. The price went up to 12 dollars, but well worth it for everything included. They also keep it very clean. I had to give them more stars.Used to be great place to wash your dog for 10 dollars, and no mess at home. They used to provide quality shampoo and conditioner. Not the case last two times I went, they are cutting back on costs and use cheap stuff they get for free. Bring your own dog shampoo.

Friend of mine works here so it's fun to run into him. They don't sell crickets anymore sadly but they do have the pate and food my dog likes so that I don't have to make the trip 4 miles out for a couple cans of food. Self service washing for dogs as well.

This is my go-to pet store for the furkids. Including a chinchilla.Join their rewards program and after I think 7 or 9 bags you buy, you get a bag free. Cha ching. You're going to buy it anyway may as well get a free bag too. Their staff is always helpful. When you walk in, there is always a box or two of clearance items like leashes, collars and toys. It's not as big as PetSmart so it's more quiet.I love it here.

Everyone was very friendly and super knowledgeable about all the inventory. I went there with my fiance and little brothers for puppy playtime to better socialize our dalmatian pup. Needless to say the trainer there; Rachel was awesome and even helped us pick out items and the cashiers helped us save up $30 total. Definitely recommend this place!

Pretty great. I go here to give my dog a bath using their tubs for $10. Only didn't give 5 stars because the towels they provide aren't great. They're small and not very absorbent. I always need a ton of them for my retriever.

Great store to get accessories and other necessities for your pet. Have a great deal of products and brands to choose from. The staff were helpful with finding what I needed and answering any questions that I had. There is a tub where you can bring your pet to shower. Want to make a note that this store does not sell any animals!

Their customer service is great and they have a nice stock of product for a small Petco. I showed up on Thanksgiving eve 5 minutes after close because I had just gotten back from a 2 week business trip and my roommate did not get my cats food, and they let me in to buy my cats a bag of food so they wouldn't go hungry. I'll be eternally grateful. Thank you Unleashed!!!!! You have a lifelong customer!

The sales associate helped me carry the product to my car after the box ripped open. He was kind and courteous during the checkout process as well. I was surprised they had the product in stock, and he matched the price on the website which saved $20 off the price in store!

This store is great! Love how friendly and attentive the employees are, especially Kevin who is currently working these hours. Management should definitely keep an eye out on Kevin and recognize his attention to detail for customer service and knowledge on dog nutrition.Overall great service!

Pretentious, overpriced, and not enough help. When you pay this much, you shouldn't have to wait to pay because no one is manning the cash register. Nor should you be shamed because the product you asked for "isn't up to Petco standards." This was my first -- and last -- time shopping at Petco.

Took my very large German Shepherd Puppy here for his first bath with me. First time owner, it really did turn into a bath "WITH ME" (had to get in with him, he was otherwise having none of it). I LOVE THE STAFF HERE!! They took it in stride, even though we might have been tougher (splashier) customers than usual. But the whole experience was SO much fun, and they were so nice and HELPFUL. Next time will be much easier and I'll know what to expect, be more prepared. Would have been a wet disaster without their help & suggestions. Helped me with a halter for him, and loaned me the perfect bath brush to get thru his thick fur. Someone complained re: not liking the towels provided--REALLY? Got to be kidding!! They provide ALL the essentials, but I bring my own shampoo, towels, brushes. I watched them clean and sanitize the wash room--VERY THOROUGHLY. I'm a nurse, feel completely safe my puppy won't contract anything bad here (like a fungus or something). I can certainly bring & wash my own SEVERAL towels (if I had a Yorkie or Boston Terrier, I'd gladly accept the use of their towels, lol).Afterward, they offered some YUMMY treats from a fancy "bakery bar", not at all like a large chain, very healthy, high quality--I picked a bag for my boy and my neighbors fur baby. I smelled the treats while choosing--and honestly tried one. Guess what--tasted wholesome & good. I will be back for excellent training treats, and will come earlier to fully peruse entire store--but very impressed with what I saw. They also have a trainer on site--not sure what her hours are--but she got and kept my distracted boy's attention and seems like she really knows her stuff--would def consider a consult with her (I learned a bit just watching her interaction/approach for a few minutes). Definate winner if you love your dog!🐕💗💗💗💗💗💗🐕 Update: I've now been twice with a different "staff crew" each time. The first time, I asked the NICEST woman helping me for her manager's details so I could tell them how helpful she was--but she was the manager! Ok--so maybe THAT was the reason they were so great that night! NOPE!! I haven't been back when the manager was there, but the other staff also FABULOUS! They really know their products, helped me carry stuff to my car, offered/showed me a few training tips--my baby can get a little excited in pet stores, which can get a bit stressful when I'm trying to pick things out--I have had SO MUCH FUN each time here b/c of the wonderful staff😁🐶

This is a boutique version of Petco. The best thing about this place is their self-service dog wash for only $10. They provide the tub, cleaning supplies, towels, and dryer. This is helpful for someone like me that has trouble washing my bath-hating dog in my bathtub.

Their DIY bathing station for dogs is great. Could use a coat rack for humans that isn't in the Blow-dry hair zone...maybe around the corner would work? But definitely the best way to get my dog clean and keep his ears dry. DIY.

Extremely suspicious of every person who comes to shop. I am a dog caregiver in Alexandria and because I come by after work wearing my jeans and tee shirt, exhausted, they continually are following me around asking can I help you, can I help you. Isn't that called profiling? And it's harassment.....I stopped going there and patronize Passionately Pets pet store over in the Bradlee Shopping Center off King Street. Super nice staff. I tell my dog walking clients to stay away fr unleashed by Petco. There are no adults that are employed there, just snotty teenagers! I have a dog and love buying her things, BUT NOT AT UNLEASHED
