This Alexandria Trader Joe‘s is a nice addition to Alexandria‘s shopping opportunities. Like all Trader Joe‘s you find here fresh and high quality food, often organic or gluten free. Prices are not cheap but still reasonable. I like the option to park in its large garage and enter the shop directly from there.

A good place to shop in Alexandria.Trader Joe’s is a popular grocery store that offers quality products. The store idea was born in 1958 as a small chain of Southern California convenience stores opened by a drugstore executive named Joe Coulombe. They changed their name in 1967 and as of January 2024, there were around 564 Trader Joe's stores across the United States with several in the DC area. This particular store is located at the corner of Asaph and Pendleton Streets in Alexandria. It has a parking lot that is right out one of the store doors. There are a limited number of parking spaces inside the building but seemed enough on the day that I visited. The store entrance had displays outside in the parking area. The store was well-lit and busy but, for the amount of traffic, it was amazingly clean and well-stocked. It is a small store but seemed to have a good selection of items from fruit to wine with gluten-free as well as other dietary options. Checkout utilized a line and one of the staff members directed you to one of the many open lanes. Prices are higher than some other stores like Publix but for the economy, location, and quality they are reasonable. Overall, it was a pleasant shopping experience in the heart of Alexandria.

This is not an easy location to find. I saw one sign that said to go down the brick walkway between Talbots and Starbucks, but I could not find a Starbucks. It's actually basically underground, in a parking garage. It appears they've got darn near everything in there. And lots of people shopping this Sunday afternoon.

Love shopping here! It's a good idea to Google popular items to buy at TJ. They don't have a huge selection but if you know what you want it's great! We got corn chips and guac, they have the best guacamole! The oatmeal creamer with brown sugar was amazing, as were the brownie with coffee ice cream sandwiches! They have their own parking garage so that is a plusOur cashier, Marcia was great she gave suggestions on what we should try next time, can't wait to go back!

This is my go-to Trader Joe’s! More often than not, they have exactly what I’m looking for. If they don’t have it, all I have to do is ask and they let me know when an item will be back in stock. The staff are always friendly and ready to assist.

We go to the Alexandria location. Nice store and friendly staff, best part is they have free parking in the attached garage. They have a good selection of items. We tried some of the smoothies and prepared food, those items were good too.

I love Trader Joe’s, I’ve been going for years. However, this location is quite cramped and is missing the core items that make a TJ trip worthwhile for me. I asked for help from a couple staff members to find some items, they were unhelpful though. You can always count on their cashiers to be kind and cheerful, they are the best part of the experience

I live hours from a TJ's now so I took the opportunity while visiting Alexa dria with a good friend. I miss shipping here. This particular location was filled with shoppers and staff too. Everyone was friendly.

Trader Joes is awesome. The cheeses, dried fruits, canned dolmas, pastas, and the chocolate! All my favorite things to buy when I'm there. Also...added bonus....so many gorgeous women shop there! So forget hitting the bar scene spending tons of cash on liquor in hopes of striking conversation with a pretty girl at the bar who likely will not give you the time of day.....go to Trader Joes and start chit chatting about which ravioli flavor is best to try....the pumpkin or the cacio e pepe. Believe me this is the way to go. Women love a guy who knows how to grocery shop and appreciate good quality food. (FYI, the Cacio e Pepe is always the right choice)

Who doesn't love Trader Joe's? Great quality, prices, and friendly staff. We always make a trip to the wine tasting bar and the food tasting stations, which always have some treat. There are a couple things we'd like better at this store, namely putting the cheese section back where it originally was rather than just inside the door where it slows down people entering. Trader Joe's is a bit like an odd lots store, which means that you may fall in love with some item only to have it disappear forever. If that happens, just take a deep breath and count on them to come up with something else that's good. And whether you make fun of the Charles Shaw wine or not, it's consistently better than much pricier wines.

This particular Trader Joe's is bigger than most but still located in the basement of the block its on. You'll find parking here is severely limited on the weekends after noon. PRO TIP: Get up at the crack of dawn and visit in the first 15 minutes the store is open. People are still coming and the parking is a breeze. After noon, everyone and their mother is coming out of the distinguished snobby churches of Old Town Alexandria and its a madhouse of well-dressed older people with large SUVs.

Trader Joe's has best Gluten Free bread I've tried in my life. I always go there for GF products and bread. Pizza not so much but the rest is amazing. They could put all gf stuff in one place, for easier shopping but well. All in all, best gf bread and frozen options.

^_^ BuleStory review for Trader Joe's Alexandria, VA 😊 Everytime me and my hubby went here we always get insane because we both love a lot of product here, mostly food 🥘🍛 Usually they had a tester corner in the store and everything that they made as a tester or sample it’s always delicious and they had sample coffee as well which is good. So everytime we went here, we always go all the way back to the sample corner to take a bite of the food 🍕 and take a sip of the coffee ☕ and we full then we left just wanna take a free food hahahahahahahahaha 🤣🤣🤣 nooo we are not that bad 😜 if we like the food then we buy it but usually not 😝 but we always buy a lot of other frozen food or snacks that they sells because it does delicious 😋😋 and very easy to serve, i just need to microwave it or fried it and it’s ready to eat 😋😋😋 nom nom nom. Usually we make a list before we went here so we are not buy anything that we don’t really need and forget the stuff that we really needs, even though we already make a list but we still get insane and buy too much frozen food in Trader Joe’s that’s how we love Trader Joe’s 😍😘 See we are not that bad who just take a free food and drinks 😉🤣😂 Oh ya for the parking, you can get free parking for 90 minutes and you have to validate that parking tickets in Trader Joe’s and if you are not shopping in Trader Joe’s you have to pay for the parking. We usually went to Trader Joe’s in Alexandria, Virginia because we used to be lived in the area, and now even though there is one Trader Joe’s in Washington DC area and we went to the area pretty often for having fun, but for Trader Joe's, we still keep coming back to the one in Alexandria because the line when you check out is not so long like in Washington DC area.

Surprisedly that Trader Joe's has far more newly designed foods in artistic packages and invented far more competitive products for ready-to-eat-meals both convenience and price wise.So it's truly a Trader Joe's fundamental philosophy to serve the underpaid who are either well or highly educated people or hippies (not in 60s or 70s though but a millennium in Yippies).Realized how the qualities and prices r even better and more affordable than Amazon and local Safeways! Not mention the Whole foods and Wegmans' ! TJ's products r now more varied in choices, prior, it's very limited and seemed boring in my personal eyes (I normally didn't buy that much on each visit).In addition, If you want to see the consumers who look like from New England or London, you get coming over to this place. Many typical WASP types run into this place called Trader Joe's. Wonder later, do they make less or more thrift concerned which was highly valued as one of 3 in traditional Caucasians: hardworking, thrift and education leading to "success" (wonder what "success" is for? Money? Fame? Power? Honor? Position? Good-hearted or bad-hearted?). More middle-aged women, in very thin faces, small heads, structured in facial shapes, dressed casual yet fashionable without any making up. Occasionally a couple of modern Yippies who hang a lot stuffs on their faces, noses, ears, arms, ankles, with their bodies exposed as much as possible. They were overly in weights who seemed carelessly and an attitude that "who cares?". Then it makes common Joes (plural) wonder, what're the clothes for?Impressed was a female cashier, in about mid-30s who seemed quite a catching in folks' eyes or my eyes (a non-artist?). She never made-up, never dressed-up, but in all casual. However her temperament seemed very appealing, in a nice shape - symmetrical、modest、simple、humble、not-overly-done、not-overly-exposed、not-overly-show-off- "look at me: how sexy I am!"、rather natural: simplicity is the highest degree of beauty! Full of silent confidence and a ... , unable to describe here but in my collections of stories.Only a few African Americans both men and women and up to three Asian women who r from mid-aged to elderly showed up there. Seemed most other races felt intimating to visit there?It's quite full and crowded in this store location which indicated the Trader Joe's' current and future prosperities. It knew deeply how to beat its competitors.Gave one 🌟 less because maybe this kind of store seemed having the most rude, aggressive and arrogant types of consumers in play though only a few on the surface. A middle-aged women, who belonged to w-c type, walked straight on the hall way, rushed with her body still-moveless on the top to the bottom while yelled loudly, seemed she wanted other consumers pay attentions to her like a Bulkingham Queen that we all needed to bent our knees to let her go through this long aisle!? I didn't play too much attention to her coming direction so I pulled my loaded cart half way to the opposite shelf, then she yelled and sighed loudly in a far and near distance..., seemed..., for what? I sensed her rudeness and arrogance, still I apologized in half way, but she still rudely passed over! I looked back on her, she rushed to the check out front desk without a slight regret and to looked back expressing a bit of sorry!Other than that, most consumers smiled and courteous.By the way, the buyers be aware of (updated from 7 days ago): some ready-to- eat-meal packages r so subpar, not good at all, after opened and tasted. Unhealthily oily by overly fried, full of cheese (though only little fillings in its dumplings) without actual chicken or pork meats &/or shrimps as it's claimed on the boxes, labeled as sourced from Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia etc. or no sources at all. So far good ones are: 1) TJ's Chicken Tikka Masala, 8.5oz, 3.9🌟 s; 2) TJ's Steamed Pork & Ginger Soup Dumplings, 6oz, 3.9 🌟 s; 3) TJ's Cod Provençale w. Rotatouille & Rice, 12.3 oz, from France. 3.85 🌟 s.
