After years of not being able to find anyone who actually “grooms” cats (beyond just a bath and nail trim), I am beyond thankful to have found Belle at the Groomery. She took time to discuss with me what would look best for my cat’s thick coat, and you could tell she really cares about the animals. Colby Jack looks so handsome and feels much better with his fresh summer cut!

I'm a First time dog mom and couldn’t be more satisfied and happy to have found The Groomery. Jose and Belle were so loving and caring to my fur baby. When I picked her up she didn't want to come home with me. lol She fell in love with the place and staff. She smelled so fresh and so clean, they even dolled her up with cute little bows and sent her home with a goodie bag. We love this place and will be coming back for sure. Thank you so much!

We love Belle and Katie! Apollo always comes out looking amazing - we love their attention to detail and how loving they are towards our furbaby. We are so glad we found them. Apollo was usually afraid to go to the groomers, but now he is so much more comfortable since we’ve been going to The Groomery. We are so happy with his cuts and get so many compliments!

First time here and couldn’t be more satisfied. Javier is an absolute gem and he precisely followed my requests when he groomed my mini golden doodle pup. I picked up a clean, happy, freshly-smelling fluffball that also got his new bandana. Worth every penny and I’ll definitely be coming back since it’s hard to find a truly good groomer around this area. Thank you again!

We love Javy, he is the best 😍 my mini golden doodle is 3 years old and she has been coming to Javy since her first haircut!! I did an extensive research when I was trying to find a groomer I trust and purely based on reviews I decided to take her to this salon( it was located somewhere else). We live in DC and I don’t mind driving to Alexandria if that meant an amazing service where I don’t have to worry about anything and I am so glad that I gave them a chance because that was a best decision ever! Javy is very knowledgeable, he listens to my wishes and always executes them! Well now, I don’t even have to tell him anything he exactly knows what I like! He is amazing, very lovely person and Autumn loves seeing him! There is not 1 single bad thing I can say about Javy or this establishment, they are truly amazing. The owner, Belle, is always super friendly and welcoming, it’s just the great vibe overall! This is coming from a person that has never let anyone babysit her dog because I don’t trust anyone but I am carefree when I drop her off with Javy for her groom. I highly recommend Javy!

We have been coming to the Groomery for quite a few years now. If I could give 10 stars I would. Our poodle had some terrible previous experiences that left him very afraid of groomers. Bell and her team worked with him to ensure it was always a positive experience. He now runs into the Groomery eager to see everyone and get all cleaned up.When we added another poodle to our pack the Groomery was once again the only place we will take them. Everyone is always so kind and accommodating. Every groomer we have worked with has been nothing but pleasant and delivers beautiful grooms.We feel so much relief having a place we know we can take our pets that takes such good care of them and delivers great grooms! The Groomery Ltd. is the only place we will take our dogs for a groom!

We found The Groomery and met Belle six months ago and she is amazing with Gabriel (Maine Koon longhair)This time his fur was matted and tangled and needed extra care had to get his fur, completely trimmed and she did an amazing job Gabriel so much happier because he was in so much pain.They trimmed his nails better then the Vet and clean his ears.Establishment is very clean and team members are very nice!I say 5 Star but would rate 5 DiamondI can see they have away with Dogs as wellEveryone leaves happy!😃

If you’re looking for a grooming service, look no further! There aren’t enough stars to give to The Groomery. I stumbled across them while doing a little bit of research for a groomer in the DMV area, for my 10 month old Yorkie puppy. I took a chance and I’m so happy that I did! From the moment I walked in, Belle who is the owner was very welcoming! She is a very kind-hearted person and a skilled professional who values her furry customers and their owners. She asked me beforehand how I wanted him cut and I was able to show her pictures for reference. Belle did such an amazing job and I’m beyond pleased with the finished results! She cut him according to his breed and the cut exceeded my expectations. He looked like a totally different dog… he was fluffy, smelled amazing, and was such a handsome little guy! (See before and after photos)The communication, professionalism, and customer service was spot on. I could tell that Belle along with her staff understood the importance pets are to their owners and she took care of mine as if he were her own. From the start, I was very confident that my puppy was in good hands. The location is clean, the service was done in a timely fashion, and they’re reasonably priced. This is the best pet groomer in the DMV, and I couldn’t be happier to have found this gem. If you care about your pet and you also care about receiving good customer service throughout the process, go with them... you won’t be disappointed.

We love Belle. She and her team have been grooming our two small and demanding dogs since the pandemic, when they were on Glebe and in walking distance. Our younger dog was really scared and neurotic when he joined our house, and would get really sick on short trips to our previous groomer. That stopped with The Groomery. He is now a more confident little guy when he goes for grooming and we credit the gentleness and sweetness that the Groomery team shows him. Leeloo def goes there for the treats though. She’s a carbhound.

I could not say enough good things about Bella at the Groomery on Glebe. I was extremely hesitant about getting my 4 month old Schnoodle groomed. I am a brand new dog mom and my pup, whose name also happens to be Bella, is only a puppy and had never been groomed before.I was so nervous to leave Bella and have her get her first haircut but as soon as I walked in I was reassured by the friendly nature of the staff and the cleanliness of the place. I knew when I left that Bella would be in good hands. I really like that Bella (owner) sat down with me and showed me the booklets of how long the hair would be based on what clip length because I had no idea. She walked me through the process and was super knowledgeable in my pup's hair and cut styles.Bella was done on time, even earlier than expected. I liked that it wasn't overly crowded so you know that the groomers are taking their time and focusing soley on your pup.When I arrived to pick Bella up I could not have been any happier. She looked so stinking cute and was HAPPY. I thought her first grooming would be a traumatic experience and it seemed like it was anything but. The staff at the Groomery on Glebe took such great care of my baby and she looked so great. The cut was perfect and she was so clean and smelled amazing!!! I couldn't have been happier, it was worth every single penny. We will 100% be coming back

“Excellent and professional services worth the price”I brought our 8 month old kitten that we adopted from shelter a few weeks ago.Because my child started having cat allergies, I thought the kitten needs a deep cleaning. A veterinarian clinic recommended this place, so we decided to try it out.The lady who did grooming and nails was caring and very knowledgeable about cat allergies, and she promised to wash her throughly and to remove allergens much as possible. I believe she did.This place may be pricier than other services, but it’s worth it. I’ll definitely come back.

My service dog has been groomed all across the country when deployed with me. I thought when we returned home it would be easy to find a great groomer. Unfortunately many mishaps later we found this to be far from true until we found "The Groomery". I could not be happier. My groomer actually "listened" to how she should be groomed. When I picked her up she was happy (most important) and looked beautiful and groomed just as I asked. I have four other Yorkies that I will entrust at the Groomery. So glad I found this establishment!

The Groomery is a neighborhood gem, not only because of its convenient and clean location, but mainly because of how patient and calm all of the staff are in dealing with our very anxious Shiba and her alarming "Shiba screams" during nail trims. I'm so impressed by and grateful for how Javier has navigated our dog's anxious vocalizations and movements in a safe and patient manner.

Sent my dog here many times and we don’t like to leave him waiting there in a cage cause he has anxiety, for this service we pay 30$ extra so we keep him there until its his turn so for this they charge extra which is ridiculous. Anyways everytime my mini goldendoodle who can’t even bite a blueberry has gone there and had no issues with this process. Today the owner an extremely rude and loud lady decided to call and tell us he tried to bite the groomer’s hand so they have to keep him in a cage to blow dry his hair next time… mind you the groomer never said anything and its the 8th different time we’ve gone there. I would be very understanding if the tone of the owner was in a respectful manner. But such a rude way of screaming and screeching with a loyal customer definitely made sure that me and a couple of friends that I have sent to this place will take our business somewhere else.

I initially gave a bad review and removed it when I was able to speak with the owner which was a pleasant conversation. Gave them another attempt at scheduling a groom for my dog. Spoke with someone and did not hear back. Just going to take my dog elsewhere. Communication continues to lack.Update:I inquired with your colleague about the availability of any Friday slots in general. Despite my dog being a "senior," she's flexible with grooming hours throughout the day. I mentioned that if Fridays weren't possible, I'd be willing to adjust my schedule for any available day since it's far into March since you have designated “groomers”. I allowed 24 hours for a response, but perhaps it would be helpful for the business to disclose their typical response time for new clients. Just a reminder, Rebecca canceled my grooming appointment with less than 24 hours' notice due to a communication issue. Then, you, as the owner, reached out and expressed a desire to make amends. While I appreciated the gesture, we didn't come to any agreement on services. You offered a complimentary bath, but I declined since it wasn't the service I needed in November. Additionally, reaching out to you directly to book my dog may seem excessive, considering I've never met you or utilized your services before. I initially removed my 1-star review regarding the cancellation, but I reserve the right to share my second experience. You attributed the first encounter's issue to your staff's training deficiency. You also mentioned in our texts that’s there’s been a handful of clients Rebecca didn’t respond too.Are you bothered by my decision to leave a review, suggesting it's unkind? As a business owner, you understand that reviews are a natural aspect of running a business, correct?Furthermore, I gave your business another chance. However, I'm disheartened that despite the glowing recommendation, you fell short again. You also have my name under your phone with huge red X’s, so, seems very unwelcoming. Please refrain from sending me messages pleading for the removal of this review… again.

This place is a well oiled machine! Very quality service and definitely a place you know your dog will be well taken care of. Compared to other grooming salons, my dogs coat was shinier and brighter! I would say the pricing is a lot steeper than I’m used to but it hasn’t stopped me from returning!

We love this place. We have spent over a year-and-a-half trying to find the perfect groomer and The Groomery on Glebe is it! She provides one-on-one attention for each dog and it is a very non-stressful environment which is great for our high-strung Cocker Spaniel. Highly recommend.

A hidden gem! Located in an unassuming house on Glebe it has parking in the back, modern updates inside and groomers foster a caring relationship with your pet. They would benefit with Calendly for scheduling but customer service is great and end product as well. Very happy with this find in the neighborhood!

First visit. Groomer Sidney was superb. Our Puppy is 5 plus and had been to a professional groomer only once before. Sydney did a very professional grooming. We are still enjoying how wonderful she looks. Sydney will be our choice again when she needs a great grooming. Thanks Sydney.

Very nice, upscale feel. When we first foster rescue (and failed) our dog, he was extremely timid and extremely in need of a grooming. I must say, this team went above and beyond to make him feel comfortable as they did their thing. Been back 3 times since and no complaints!

I’ve come here less than a handful of times and truly have had the best experience thus far. Paw Spa cut off a piece of my dogs tongue so we were extremely skeptical in coming back to a groomer. I tried to do it myself but I have a yorkie and their hair is really difficult to do. So we look a chance with this groomer and my dog seems so much happier. Before he was terrified, but he seems a lot more comfortable here. They are quick and efficient. They didn’t get intimidated by my dogs anxiety & worked with it. I’m very happy I found this place! The best of the best!

I took my dog to The Groomery for the first time yesterday. They were quick to offer dates/times when I was emailing to schedule. Sydney was our groomer and she was so sweet. She took the time to talk to me about preferences before, gave me an update call during the groom, and she did a great job with the cut! Exactly what I was hoping for and we will be back!
