This is an amazing fairly small store but packed with great food and surprises!They actually had customer appreciation day today!How many places do that anymore?I love this place, fresh ground coffe!Fresh made food!Fresh stuff everywhere!The people working there all had great attitudes and were happy to see you!Fairly fast check out!But most of all great selection in every corner!I truly enjoyed my visit and will be returning!

When I worked in this bakery many years ago presentation was very important. Sales were very important. I enjoyed opening the store at 5am. I knew how to do everything and did my best at it. I found out many people left this store in the same year I left. The manager Todd was the reason many left. He was mean.Recently, I visited and noticed the items in the bakery show case look dry, not appealing. It looks cloudy. There are too many tables in front of the bakery. They are staked too high with cookies etc. and fall on the floor. Also it is hard seeing the labels on the table.

This was a nice gourmet type market. It has plenty of fresh fruits and veggies. There was an olive and anti pasta bar too. The store has prepared foods that are ready to heat once home. The baked goods looked good but we didn’t try any this time around. Definitely a good place to shop for niche/unique items

I am updating my review to a 5 from a 3 because while my review still stands it’s important to point out that the fresh market does not advertise as your regular grocery store but as a specialty store and this is now my third or fourth visit and they keep a very clean store and they also have amazing items you can’t find at your regular grocery store. I was so happy to find some items that I only found at home at my local markets in New York City. They have an eclectic beverage section like no other!

Raquel, who makes the works with the Sushi it’s so amazing. I love the sushi bowl and when I come in and they don’t have one she always offers to make one without me ever asking. It’s my favorite and she is so sweet.

I love The Fresh Market especially as I often just shop for myself and appreciate the meat market that allows me to get exactly what I want. The prices can be steep the the quality is wonderful. The deli has a nice selection as does the bulk aisle. Very nice wine department. The staff is always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

Fresh Market Alexandria Va. is the most frustrating store. Your store advertises every week the same deals. Thursday deal is $6 roast chicken but you go at 12:00pm no chickens just put them in the oven at that hour. Deli deal $6 meal all out of many items. Prices on produce in your ads are not yet programmed into computer. If you buy a lb of chicken salad it comes with 4 free coussiants. But if you want the box of mini coussiants they don’t count even though same price. When you ask to speak with a manager the answer is still no. There is no customer service available at this store. Deli is the worse ever but there is service at the meat and fresh fish counter. Unsatisfied customer.

Love this store but need more people working on the weekends. Waited 30-minutes to be helped at the deli / premade meals counter and another 20 minutes in line to check out. Folks working were going as fast as they could and were very apologetic. Not their fault, they need more help!

I would like to commend one of your employees at the Fresh Market location. I frequently visit the Alexandria Virginia establishment and recently had an encounter with a remarkable employee in the kitchen. She was busy washing dishes and preparing roasted chicken salad. What caught my attention was her assertiveness when she took charge of the situation after I asked one of the gentlemen, who seemed occupied with his phone and iPad, for assistance. This gentleman, an Hispanic man absorbed in his iPad, was asked by the employee to help the customers, as there were about five of us waiting. However, when I approached her to seek help with a stuck nut, she promptly came out from the kitchen and assisted me in removing it. She even went a step further and offered me a taste of some of her favorite dishes. As she apologized for her colleagues that was just heart melting.While waiting for my turn in line, she prioritized taking the orders of the others before attending to me, as I had entered last. She requested the assistance of the aforementioned gentlemen, but they were rather unhelpful. The Hispanic man, who claimed to be her boss, rudely refused to cooperate and left, engrossed in his loud iPad, as I overheard. Additionally, the tall African man was too occupied with his phone conversation to lend a hand. Despite facing these challenges, the employee continued to offer complete meals at affordable prices. She cleverly came up with amusing names for the dishes, showcasing her wit and personality.Although I cannot recall her name, she mentioned that people often struggle to remember it and suggested referring to her as "pretty" or "linda" in Spanish. In my opinion, she deserves recognition as one of the outstanding employees at Fresh Market. I have since become a regular consumer of their meals, despite being primarily a burger enthusiast. The employee mentioned something about a combo meal, which perfectly sums up their offerings, the way she offered I didn't even noticed the price. Her dedication to customer service surpasses all expectations, and she goes above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience for customers.Curious about her employment history, I asked her why she left Amazon Fresh kitchen, where she mentioned being a newcomer at the Fresh Market. As a CEO myself, I find it perplexing when talented individuals do not remain with their employers. She revealed that she and her colleagues, including the managers, didn't like her, but I see nothing about her not to like, she's seems genuinely nice. But her kindness smile says she didn't understand why, I can understand why she made such an impact on the people there. She assured me that she has no intention of pursuing higher positions or causing any stress in her life, as she takes mental illness medications. It's disheartening to know that good employees leave companies due to poor management. and how some people with some type of mental disability can be such kind person. I wonder what happened to her...I sincerely hope that I will continue to see her cheerful demeanor in the kitchen. I highly recommend Fresh Market's meals as they offer a healthier option for those seeking a delicious alternative. Who ever hired her needs a credit as well.

I love the selection of fresh produce and bread, and harder to find spices. I appreciate the service also. My favorites are Ahna and Lily, who are both helpful, friendly, and kind. Will be sure to return again and again.

We have been going to fresh Market regularly for years, but we will be going less often due to several reasons. Many of the items we shop for are unavailable very often , and check out lines are growing longer with not enough staff available ( often 1/2 lines only). Went in recently ( twice) and came out with half of what I needed and waited 10 minutes to check out. Also the meat area , where I often go has been uncooperative when it comes to having certain meats cut like I needed for specific needs. This happened 3/4 times in the past few weeks. Ended up going to Safeway and had it done no problem. I hope FM addresses some of these issues , but for now we are limiting our visits.

The weekly meal deal section is often picked over and missing one or more items. Other specials the store offers are difficult to follow or not clearly explained. Overall, the quality of the food is great and they have a lot of quality prepared meals to choose from. Beer and wine selection is good, too.

Good deli and butchery, as well as well priced Thursday specials. A couple of suggestions: 1. Please teach your staff to paste the scanner label on the bottom of the tray when customer is buying a bistrot meal as I have had many meals become all mixed up due to the fact that by turning the tray upright to scan it mixes all of the foods (main course and sides). I for one like to keep them separate and I am not a fan of mixing my mashed potatoes with my cole slaw. 2. Please please please open a 10 items or less register for customers. I cannot tell you how many time I have been stuck behind people buying much more and had to wait a long time for my 2-3 items to be rung up...very frustrating, especially when i visit during my lunchtime as my time is spent in line. I have had to leave meals and run to subway or the pastry shop down the street where it is faster. THANKS

I love the deli options and the rosemary and rotisserie chicken, can't go wrong. The crab cakes are to die for and can't go wrong with the wine options. Plus there's other great stores nearby such as Starbucks, ABC, sushi place, grocery store and nail spot, Just a lot of great business within walking distance.

This store NEVER has employees that inquires if you need any assistance. They watch you look dazed and confused while looking for items especially in the cheese section. Horrible customer service.

I came in to do an UberEats order today and my UberEats card kept declining. I had to step away for a second to contact Uber Support and when the manager on duty Andrew came over to the cashier I was with. He asked her what happened but before either of us could really explain, he looked at me and ASSUMED I was trying to pay with an EBT card. As a black woman I felt baffled at the thought of him just looking at me and making that kind of assumption. Does a card declining imply that I must be using government assistance to pay for my groceries? Just because it’s the first of the month, does that imply that my card declining HAD to be an EBT card? No, it does not! I feel Andrews actions were disrespectful and uncalled for and I didn’t deserve that.

I'm honestly torn between 3 stars or 2... the employees are dismissive of the shoppers; my cashier cancelled my membership sign-up while I was typing my e-mail address, and wouldn't acknowledge me when I told her I wanted to join. :(However, there's a really nice selection of products, and the house-made sushi was very good. Much better than Safeway's sushi, and about on par w/Wegmans.

I've always enjoyed coming here, but my experience this week left a really bad taste in my mouth. I went to grab a last minute pie for pie day and ended up getting a few because of the great options (kudos to the baker), during check out my daughter was talking to me so I hadn't noticed the associate put my things in the plastic bag already without asking me. When I asked if I could just carry the pies and not use or pay for the plastic bag she just said no, because she's already added the charge to my bill and wouldn't be able to take it off. I would have preferred to just carry them in my hands in all honesty and it may be silly but I see that as more of the principal of things - the last thing we need is grocery stores adding on extra fees without specifying or getting your approval. Just overall disappointed with the experience since I had high expectations of the place.

Buyer beware!!! Check your receipt! Items that are supposedly on sale ring up as full price. That's how this particular location stays open I suppose. My bill was over $220.00 with $30.00 of sales not takenOff at the end as I was told by the cashier. Placed on hold for manager Naveen four different times this morning. If you have time in your daily schedule to go over the receipt-good. What an effort after each visit.

But bad incident happened to my family two lady outside main entrance were distributing religious flyers about Jesus. We said no we don’t want flyers so she was keep trying to give flyers specially wired when she was trying to give flyers to my kids. Management should think about this cuz I was having two and half year old baby in my hands with fruit vegetable cart with me. Should I consider not come again or what……Pls think about it……

DO NOT USE THE CATERING DEPARTMENT.On the day of my party, 1 hour before its start, the store could not find my order! This compromised 2/3 of my party food. I was devastated.I later spoke 2 times with the manager to understand what happened and how a ‘lost order’ would be prevented in the future. Unfortunately, IT CAN’T.There is no accountability.

This was a nice store before the fall of 2022. Now every time I visit I only have a negative experience.Let's talk about "Fresh" poultry. It's 3rd-time when I needed to throw away the chicken that was purchased a day ago. You don't know for how long the chicken has been sitting in the fridge covered in ice, so the freshness is the question If you like to take risks, you can try to buy fish.Steaks are ok, but better to buy top ones.Stay away from going there 30 minutes before closing time. You will face rude and tired employees trying to clean everything fast and go home 1 minute after closing time. So they will try to ignore you and do their closing activities. Registers - 50/50 Sometimes you can face a tired employee with attitude, and Sometimes you can see a nice and welcoming cashier.+1 star for fruits and coffee.UPD: Customer Service reached out ot me via Google Reviews, and asked me to feel the form online, which I did. Since then, they have been waiting for a response from them. So reply below is just a basic template with no action. Poor customer service. -1 Star for that.
