The Dog Park is a fantastic little boutique that my dog Tater loves going to for his shopping! They have a great selection of treats, toys and accessories. We also get Tater’s grooming done here and can’t praise our groomer, Cherie, enough. I appreciate how much she cares for Tater, makes him fresh and handsome, and she is so efficient. We are so thankful we found a groomer who is so good with our pup and in such a convenient location!

We love Cherie - she has been grooming Freckles since he was a puppy and always does a wonderful job! She is so patient and kind with him - he is a big guy but scared of everything. He always comes out looking great and smelling even better. Just make sure to book early her appointments fill up fast! We have sent at least five other dogs to her and they have all been just as happy. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I was love Cherie since she was worked at Loyal Champion. And I decided to continued the business with her after she found new place. I recently book with her for my dog grooming. I was remembered wrong time, it is my fault and people make mistakes, I arrived on time (the time I thought I booked), and been told we have to reschedule because I was late for 30mins (I spent extra 10mins for parking since this places is horrible for parking) and been told they had to charge me half of my grooming for no show?? I asked if this credit could be use for next appointment, and I was being refused. I explained the reason why I am late, and I thought I arrived on time!!!! there is no reminder on the day!! And there is no call to follow up. I was super disappointed and I feel my loyalty is not get respect from this business. Super disappointed and there will be no longer business from there. I will rather than go to Olde Towne pet resort with better service and respect for much better price!!!!

Cherie is the best cat groomer in Alexandria. She can clip my cat’s claws in three minutes flat without Newsy uttering a single meow.

Just had my pup groomed there and I am so, so pleased! Cherie is a genius and she bonded with my dog immediately. I also love their chewie selection-- great for my Samoyed who loves to chew everything in sight. I have been going to the Dog Park since it opened and I want it to stay on King Street forever.

My dog Arthur has been going to Cherie for grooming for over a year, and we followed her here from her old place. You have to stick with your hairdresser! She does a wonderful job on poodles, and I appreciate how gentle she is with Arthur as he’s an old guy. Thank you Cherie.

Happened upon this place walking around in old town, the toys were reasonably priced and they had a variety of treats. I would have given it 5 stars but we definitely didn't get the warm reception from the people working at the counter as other shoppers got. Wouldn't return, seems like they didn't want my business anyway.

The Dog Park is one of several dog stores in Old Town. However, the Dog Park stuck out for these reasons:1) Staff: They were very attentive and welcoming and treated our puppy like royalty.2) Items: They have tons of stuff for pets, including baked treats for dogs!Out front is a water bowl for dogs!

Just picked up my 2 year old morkie from getting groomed and he looks absolutely perfect. He usually is so nervous to get groomed but he was so happy and smiling non stop when I picked him up. You can tell the groomer (Cherie) and staff GENUINELY care about dogs, their happiness, and their well being. I used to go to petsmart for grooming and it would take 3-4 hours and my dog always seemed a bit stressed/exhausted after. This took less than 2 hours and he is so happy. I could not be happier with the service. Will be going back here every grooming from here on out. THANK YOU!!! Best grooming experience ever.

Dog Park is a great little shop for pet lovers. I was just visiting the area and had to check it out when passing by. They carry all sorts of toys and accessories, locally crafted items, treats and food, tons of cute stickers, and clothes. I ended up with a few rad pairs of socks, stickers and an adorable toy for my kitties - they LOVE IT 🤣. I can't wait until The Dog Park makes shopping online available.

Our super picky husky, Ava, absolutely loves going to visit Cherie at The Dog Park in Old Town, Alexandria. Cherie’s patience is unmatched! Our pup is definitely high maintenance, and gets Cherie’s undivided time and attention during every visit. She has worked with Ava for months to make her more comfortable with nail trims and baths. We love the special bond they've developed and couldn’t be happier with the amazing progress Cherie has made to get Ava to the point of not being nervous at all for grooming. A great experience every single time!

The staff here is INCREDIBLE! They're so sweet and help with any questions you may have. They have a great selection of treats, toys, beds, leashes, and so much more! They make the cutest little cookies, decorated like different animals! LOVE this place! They also have puppy ice cream, which on such a hot day, my pup enjoyed (very quickly).

Love this little pet shop down in the heart of Old Town on King Street. They have a nice selection, though I'd love to see a little more for cats. For dogs they have a bunch of home baked dog treats. They have great healthy treats like freeze dried cat treats, minnows and freeze dried dog treats. They also have cute outfits and jackets for dogs and cats. Overall a wonderful local shop for pets.

Karen (owner) was very helpful and kind. She answered all of my questions about what we needed to be prepared to bring home a new puppy and helped me with things that we hadn't even thought of. This is an independently owned local business and will be our "go to" place for our future pet needs.

My niece brought her dog for grooming based on my recommendation, and had the worst experience. Her fur baby was cut by Marlena who did not notify us of the injury until we picked up the dog. The dog was traumatized and anxious to leave. DO NOT take your dogs/fur babies to this groomer and if you do consider yourselves forewarned!!

Such a great store! Staff was beyond helpful and friendly. I needed a new harness for my jack Russell. The staff member showed me her recommendations and demonstrated how to properly put the harness on my dog. She even offered if I could t get it, just to bring her on and she will show me how! I was amazed with the customer service, knowledge and choices of snacks. Will be my go to pet shop!

Visiting Alexandria and saw this store. Looked so clean and cute. I wanted to get something for my dog to bring home and I like to support local businesses. I picked out the cherry blossom in the window and was then trying to inquire about the puppy/kitty beer/wine. Three staff members in the store with me being the only customer in the store. They seemed annoyed and short with me and my cofusion about the product. Frankly I wouldn’t have even bought the cherry blossom toy from them if I thought there was any chance I’d come across another local dog store during my short trip. I like supporting local businesses, but they were rude and I don’t like to support rude stores. I honestly don’t understand all these reviews about how friendly the staff is. If a customer has questions and it isn’t like they were swamped with people and had no time to help, I don’t understand why they were annoyed to be answering my questions. I honestly would have bought more had they been friendlier. But definitely isn’t someplace I’m putting on my list of places to go back to whenever I visit Alexandria.
