I go here a lot, they are usually a good store.If you go here late be prepared for self checkout.It is great for parking that is covered if it’s raining or poor weather.Plenty big if you have a truck.The clearance is around 8 ft.There stock is normally good. Watch the expiration dates though.The only reason I give them a 4 instead of 5.The pharmacy is also pretty good here.Way better hours than CVS for sure!

Nice... You shall be able to find everything you can get at any grocery store.A little expensive.The store was clean and organized, they could stock their bathroom with paper towels more efficiently. 😉

While the store is clean and we'll stocked the people are rude. We were there at closing time and I've been in situations where they tell you it's closing and force you to pay.But this store noo what they do is shut the machines right in front of your mouth.We were in line ready to pay and the tall guy looked at me and quickly swiped his employee card on the self checkout and shut the machine off he said it's closedNever happened to me where they kick you like animals.Every other store they at least alow you to pay.I'm never returning here

So went here for the first time, parking lot was packed but we found a spot. Everything was ok until we got to check out. Went to self check out for the one item I was looking for and something went wrong with the register. Some African American lady with a cane came over saying she had to cancel the whole order. The part that turned my whole experience sour was she was extremely rude about it and I left the store feeling very unwelcomed. Not sure why she had a terrible and extremely unfriendly attitude but I'm not going here again.

The manager is an absolute joke. I was trying to do a coin exchange and he had me wait 30 minutes for nothing, saying “we’re looking for a key.” And instead of apologizing he was blatantly laughing in my face as if my time was a joke to him. It’s ridiculous that a major grocery store has such bad organization that a key to major factor of their store is missing. I wasted half my container of coins and got nothing in return, an apology, a refund, credit. Nothing a laugh in the face w money stolen. Absolutely insane. Definitely not coming back with such horrible customer service.

Modern and clean, but still a Safeway. Large section with prepared food and a nice seating area including an elevated patio for those looking for a lunch spot. Covered fee parking garage, elevators and escalators.

Terrible experience with new digital coupons, which forces you to use the app, and the app and discounts never work, and they are very misleading (even the cashier couldn't figure it out). They had the Safeway card before for regular discounts, but the adds for digital coupons are simply false advertisement. The experience with the app and misleading discount signs in store were so terrible that not only I wouldn't use the app, I'll stop shopping at Safeway altogether and will go elsewhere in the future.

This Safeway is huge! It has a large floor layout. The fresh fruits are not that large of a section though the fruits do look very good most of the time. The bakery is also just medium sized. There are ample checkout lines however and a self check out area that moves quickly. There is also a quest diagnostics in the back near the pharmacy. Photos as of November 2018

I live in walking distance of the Safeway and I have to say that I love it and I also love the pharmacy services provided. They have a Quest Diagnostics lab next to the pharmacy. But I really like the kind service of both the pharmacists and the regular employees are always more than happy to help.

Update. Went to counter again and he was really nice, even joking around. Changed review.****************Went to the deli counter. Asked if one of the flavors of chicken under glass was the habanero. Older gentleman says "yeah" just in a rude manner in a way that he thought I already knew the answer. Nothing indicating what types of chicken were there. He muttered something else very rudely and I just said "you know what, forget it!" and walked away.This is the second time I felt like I was putting him out by asking a question and needing assistance. When this happened before I actually stuck it out and dealt with his attitude. The first time, I'll give someone a pass. Having a bad day? OkThis time, not again. Walked away.

Another Safeway that is 24 hours... . This safeway has a parking garage like the one in hyattsville. They have elevators and stairs down to the lower parking garage. I wanted kombucha at 2am and it is not the most widely sold item at night. They have a large store with many choices. Items were well marked areas. The have 15 isles where you can see what in them fairly quickly. Very few customers at this time so no waiting in the lines. They have a starbucks as well as some fedex print / copy service if you come during normal hours. Overall good

It's just a very nice, huge Safeway with plenty of parking underneath so your car doesn't get wet or get snow on it.Excellent and friendly pharmacy. I got all my covid and flu and shingles shots there. They also have a Quest lab right in the store.Very down on their bakery. Annoyed that they stopped making their own sourdough bread. The stuff they sell now is terrible.Safeway person said it wasn't profitable to make Sourdough. Wth? They cranked up the price from 3.99 a loaf to the current $6.29 in just two years. How can you not make money on flour, water and sourdough starter? Sad.

Okay but thing great. Prices are on the higher end. Selection is okay, not bad but not good. Quality is good in the perishables. Store size is average for stores like Giant or Food Lion. I have no big complaints but nothing that sets the store apart from other stores.

Arthemis was over by the bathroom area cleaning & COMPLETELY changed our day around. She was very kind, informative & witty. I love everything from the story of how she got her name to her sweet voice when she said “Come with me. I’ll show you.”100/10 service. I’ll start doing my shopping here simply because Ms. Arthemis was beyond gracious to us. Please give this woman a raise or a grand acknowledgment or something. She’s an angel.

The only reason most people visit this store is its convenience. When Wegman's opens they will lose a lot of business! I always buy roasted chicken from Costco and today didn't have time in my schedule so I stopped here. $6.99, which is $2.00 MORE than Costco and was half the size and so dry. I plan on taking it back. They also have a new assistant manager with a snarky attitude. The manager is very customer focused and friendly.

I think I found my new favorite grocery store. They have a mochi bar!!! It saves packaging and minimizes trash. Although, I wish their seafood department didn't use Styrofoam containers for items hand packed at the counter. The store is very clean and produce dept is well stocked.

Horrible experience w supposed management. The coin star machine stopped working and they had me wait 20 minutes to look for a missing key, and he was laughing and not being helping at all as if customers time is a absolute joke to them.

I am doing a Safeway update review. I have to tell you that Safeway is doing really good. I mean, they really are. I had specific instructions for my bread to make sure they got the latest expiration date. They excelled. My bread is so soft it almost melts in your mouth. And I ask for the latest date of my bagels in the bakery. They were so soft, I couldn't hold myself back from eating one fresh without even putting it in the toaster. it was so fresh. You just have to make sure you watch out for the meat Safeway. A while back. I did order a lunch meat that did not turn out well. That's a manager situation where they need to be picking out the items that are past Expiration. But more a no brainer to turn the package around of the meat and see that it's not doing well. This can happen in any grocery store. However, what I ended up with was really bad. I have noticed, you have stepped up to the plate immensely. Thank you so much for that Safeway.Safeway website has been down for 2 days now. what's going on?Today I received my order and everything was great. What I was most happy about, was that they called me for once to tell me what they were out of. I was thrilled when they called.They had told me they were out of one of the items, Ibuprofen, and said they were on sale by 1 get 1 free would I like the larger size.I absolutely got the larger size. And then I told them what had happened with my last order that the milk was almost expired.Because of that I did not order milk this time. with him calling me I asked him if he would mind getting me a 1/2 a gallon of milk with a good expiration date. I really do like this Safeway. I mean there've been some bumps in the road but all in all they've been really great.. Thank you.I love this Safeway. The people are so nice and accommodating. No matter what my issue is they are always willing to help me.. They really do listen and help you. It's not the run of the mill employees that have the attitude of I just work here.Thank you so much Nicole and Jennifer.This is not the Safeway I grew up with almost 50 years ago.I was really impressed. I this store when I went to Minnie-ha-ha, and TC Williams.The people are very nice.I do have to comment on one real important thing out here.The Safeway brand toilet paper is really good.It is your equivalent to the Charmin.I have bought the one at Harris Teeter that is equivalent to the Charmin, however it has a lot of lint.So now you have lint all over your hands and go to wash your hands in the sink and you're filling your sink up with lint. Thus, a clogged sink later. It says our strongest to. How true. Some rip in the Middle of your business. Not looking for the old addage, "be a man and use your hand!". Lol!. Anyway, very nice store.

My neighborhood store and good enough for quick trips or last minute items, but not for my general shopping needs. Customer service is virtually non-existent, so if you have questions, this is not the place to go. I asked the cashier about their turkey promotion and she had never heard about it and told me to ask someone else. She was very nice, but not helpful at all. Again, a great place for sugar, salt, or just last minute shopping.

Very nice and spacious isles and a young man alert me my backpack was open a courteous response I thank him. Now the grand finale the older lady cashier who waited on a customer continued to chatter and I waited some good 15 minutes she completely glance my at me but like she has nothing but time well I say if your friend completed her purchase why chat with her like I'm not there is rude

This store until recently was always open 24 hours even during COVID, and was essential to me due to my demanding job. I was a faithful long time post midnight shopper there, spending a lot of $ there.Now it is open only from 6am to midnight. I will never shop there again now. Goodbye King St. Safeway.

Previously I had given this grocery store 5 stars because it was open 24hours, but since they changed their hours I must change my review. My new 1-star rating combined with my previous 5 stars gives a new rating of about 3, which is what this store deserves now that there's ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to differentiate it from any other grocery store that closes early.

Visited to pick up a couple last minute items prior to a Christmas Eve dinner. Nicest Safeway I have ever been in. Huge variety of everything you could ever need. Parking is interesting as it's a parking garage that you then take an elevator up to the store level to get in. A plus if it's raining outside!!

Very nice clean store and staff is very friendly and helpful. Great produce area, however some of the produce, like lettuce is so-so. Much better prices on certain items than we see here in California. So nice to have ample parking as well.

If you're seeking to place a delivery or pick-up order from this store, don't bother.Either the items are erroneously listed as in-stock online or there is absolutely *zero* employee accountability with regards to fulfillment. 5 of my last 6 orders had more than one major item undelivered and listed as "out of stock" upon order receipt.
