The manager of this establishment, Christian clearly has no care whatsoever as to what his employees do, or do not do. I spent two hours trying to contact the pharmacy with no answer, and his response was to say leave a message on a message machine that doesn’t take messages, worthless scum do not come here.

Update: 11/26/2023Still the best Safeway to me!3/30/2021The Safeway at Rose Hill Shopping Center is my favorite Safeway. It's always clean, stocked, ans well maintained.The workers are always friendly, courteous, helpful, and polite.The produce department always looks appealing with fresh colorful fruits and vegetables.There Clearance section had a variety of items for 50 % off. They had a lot of dog food (bag), dog toys, Yerba bottled teas, club soda, eye drops for dry eyes, (I got those), Aloe water, and 12 oz bags of Peacan and Walnuts.Thus Safeway has a decent public bathroom. This little safeway has a lot of cool stuff. Friendly staff front of house, and in the pharmacy. They don't have a bakery so if you want the cookie packs and fresh bread head over to kingstowne. They do have a deli with hot chicken and sandwiches.Went on Thanksgiving, they are handling themselves really well.

When a customer says that they do not need help with the self-checkout, they should be allowed time to review the charges on the display before the attendant comes over and starts pushing buttons on the screen. Also, several of the attendants at the self-checkout don't seem to understand that a customer can swipe their credit card while still scanning additional items. It is condescending when someone who does not know what they are talking about invades my space and disrupts my system while declaring that the computer won't let us do something that I have literally been doing on those same machines 4-5 times per week for the past three years.

We have shopped here for many years and never had any bad experiences. The employees have always been helpful, polite and respectful. That has truly changed with the hire of a lady named Melissa. I don't know if she's the manager, but she sure acts in charge with a very over-bearing attitude. (I so miss Adrian.) On two occassions she has been rude to me and terribly impatient and unhelpful. She walks around the store complaining about how much she has to do, bickers with her co-workers and is also disrespectful to them -speaking to the customers. She walks around the store angry and mumbling. She makes us very uncomfortable. She always appears miserable and never smiles. We have decided today that we will no longer shop here because of Melissa. On a positive note Snow in the seafood department is awesome and very helpful. She does a great job and we will miss her.

I love the Safeway in Rose Hill Shopping Center. It is always clean, well stocked, helpful staff, and great bargains.I just love browsing their clearance section, which is close to the rest rooms.Their produce ways looks fresh and inviting.The cashiers are very pleasant and courteous.The store is super Clean, and Customer Service is helpful also. I always get their Parfaits, one for now and one for later. There has never been any drama when I'm shopping here. Happy Shopping for me!

I love this particular Safeway in the Rose Hill Shopping Center! It's always clean, well stocked, and the staff is very courteous, and have the items in stock that are on sale. The store has a decent clearance section too. They have a wide variety of items that I don't see in other Safeway stores.This location still have public bathrooms for use. The only complaint is that the toilet seat in the handicap stall needs to be tightened to the commode, or you just might land on the floor!I recently had a problem with a purchase, and I didn't have a problem resolving the issue.So, Safeway keep up the good work!

I was going through the 5 stages of grief with my last review, but PLEASE Safeway. Stock more of the nitrite-free turkey bacon than the regular bacon. Don't use the Oscar Mayer turkey bacon. That stuff tastes like garbage. I beg you. I'm on my last legs here... I-I... Can't make it much longer... Tell my kids..... *dead*P.s. The cashiers are all fabulous. No problems there.

This location needs to work on customer acknowledge and customer service. Went to put my groceries on the conveyer belt and the employee ran off to talk to someone while I was there and Did see me. Very rude. The other guy which I was later told the manager seen me go to the register where she ran off and I ended up walking to the self check out frustrated. Once I was over there he has to audacity to call someone who was looking for an open register to assist and ring him up after seeing what happened to me. Id rather shop somewhere else than to experience this type of service. Horrible customer service.

Love this store. Great customer service. Very good layout. Only thing missing is a pop tart option without frosting. :) Seriously, this is where I do my weekly family grocery shopping. Can feed my family of 5 for $125 per week. I grew up with Safeway and still love it, especially this store.

Overall a pretty good place to shop. They always have good deals and they’re stocked up on almost everything I ever need. They do need to keep more check lanes open during peak times, but honestly I don’t ever have a real issue with that. They’re open later than most grocery stores, and consistently as well. I will continue to give them my service until they give me a reason otherwise.

We recently moved and Safeway is the closest grocery store to our house. I'm not a happy customer. Although I did not have unpleasant experience, but I keep comparing it to Giant, that is just 2 miles down the road. The selection is smaller and few times they didn't have simple items in stock (like cabbage). The prices for almost everything is way higher than in Giant. One time I took a dozen of eggs, that were 50% off and final price was $4.50! It was not even organic, so original price was $9??? That's all I have to say about it.

The staff at the Rosehill Safeway Pharmacy are rude, unprofessional and need training in customer service and effective communication!! My experience at the Rosehill Safeway Pharmacy is always unpleasant. The staff behave as if they have never received PII training.They always yell out customers private information and expect customers to do the same. Yesterday, a staff member requested my DOB and I provided only my birth month and day and she demanded my birth year. I reminded her that I will not yell out PII and instead held up my driver's license for her to obtain the information. She got annoyed when I should have been the only one annoyed about her behavior. Furthermore, she yelled to tell me that my prescription was out of stock for 3 weeks. I demanded to know why I was not notified about the problem in advance since I requested a refill thrrough the automated system days ago. I was always treated with respect, shown kindness and called in advance by Pharmacy staff if any issues arose at the CVS on Franconia Road. The only reason I switched my prescription to Safeway was because my prescription at CVS was out of stock.

It's a smaller store, by Safeway standards, but that makes it easier to negotiate when in a hurry. My elderly mother also loves this store - she says it's just the right size for her. She can walk through the entire store without it wearing her out. All in all, it's a really good neighborhood store.

This Safeway is a nice little grocery store that seems slow to get with the times. They did just recently get self check out lanes, which is great, but they seem to be lacking a lot of the other amenities that the newer Safeways have. It's a clean store with a friendly staff and you can definitely do your weekly grocery shopping here with ease, just don't expect anything fancy like an olive bar, salad bar, an extensive hot bar selection, a deli, or a bakery.

December 4, 2022Safeway Rose Hill is my favorite branch. On a late afternoon they had a helpful employee assist me in getting my groceries to my car. In the past, for over six months while my broken arm healed they also had employees who provided this assistance. This year this Safeway has operated as a clean well organized and stocked place to shop.

Store seemed to be under renovation or something. Only slab concrete floor, so wear comfortable shoes. Aisles are smaller so bit on the tight side. Lovely produce available as we as seafood. Was laid out differently than Kingstowne store but still a pleasant experience. Employees were courteous and helpful.

Safeway at Rose Hill is always clean. This is a smaller Safeway that has been there for decades. It has a local feel. The employees are knowledgeable friendly and eager to help. This is a great stop for a quick grocery grab and buy for those last minute gotta get on the way home items.

This store is clean and good for very basic needs. Unfortunately, the organization of this store is not very usual. If you want speciality items, like vegetarian frozen foods, you might not be able to find it. However, sometimes unusual items like cashew milk can be found. So it's hard to anticipate what one can find in the store. The staff members are super nice.

Their hours are very weird. States on window 6am-midnight every single day. Yet I went at 10:30 on Sunday and they were closed? How? Either update your signs or stay opened. FYI Safeway in Kingstowne stays open longer. Why is there no consistency??

I went into Safeway to get potato salad and asked a simple question? "Do you have egg in your potato salad?" The look said it all. They thought what I said was in another language as I had to ask the question several times and then out came the answer "I don't know." Finally, the Deli manager came over and said it had eggs in it. I would think they would know what they sell. So crazy.

I went to the store (at lunchtime), which has been my go-to grocery for years, to check out the Valentine's Day flower assortments. I wasn't disappointed with what I found. While there was a sole cashier working, which I've observed in the past, additional cashiers have been on duty in the evenings recently, which is a big improvement.

This used to be a pretty good store but the past six months has gone totally down hill. Never any meat in the meat department and new butcher tell people we are working on it, this at two in the afternoon. Seafood forget it. Never anyone there and when he is he's in a corner on his phone. No prices and department smells. Deli department pretend they don't see you until you ask to be waited on. Produce not to bad.Only go in this store if I need one item.
