Not much you can do about the price of groceries, but they do have some good deals. Some of the employees need to put on their happy face. Not friendly. You are dealing with the public. If you hate your job, then quit.

This Safeway also have a Starbucks inside as well. The place is very clean but as far as price is not the best unless you buy when it is on sale and become a club member.

Somehow they never have half the things I'm looking for... it's a small store. The staff try their best but the systems, especially at the guest service, are often not working. Prices are too high for the quality of products which tends to be the case at Safeways.

Usually get good service here but yesterday at around 8pm there was a employee with a blue shirt with no name tag and no safeway uniform as a cashier. Did not want to get charged for bags so put my tote before so he could use it. He just grabbed it and mumbled that he was not doing it and just threw the tote along with all the groceries to the other side and expected me to bag it. I have a bad arm and struggled to bag it myself and he just looked at me probably waiting to go home. Anyway wanted management to read this to please train cashiers properly when it comes to bagging groceries.

I am very surprised to see all the 5 star reviews to be perfectly honest. This is the closest grocery store to our house and we only come here if absolutely necessary.First, they don’t have any baskets, none! So you have to push a big cart around if you’re buying more than 3-4 things. I asked someone about it and was told they got rid of them because people were stealing them. So no baskets for you and me.I found produce to be iffy at best, you never know what you’re going to get. Lots of unripe fruits.They are often out of the most random things, like oranges, limes, and condiments. Things are placed seemingly at random, like Brie cheese for example. You’d think Brie would be with all the other cheeses, but nope, it is 3 isles over by the bakery for some reason.I’ve stopped in a few times in the morning around 7:30-ish AM for donuts, but at least half the time there are no fresh baked goods that “early” which is baffling.Also this shopping center is awful to get out of if you plan on going north.

Don't normally rate grocery stores but the staff that work here are a joke. They could care less. You'll stand in line for one cashier for 30 minutes and no one else will help. They literally laugh and make fun of customers. Not sure why they closed the other one down Richmond Hwy which was much better and left this one open.

I had the pleasure to meet Wayne at this Safeway location. He was working the checkout line and assisting shoppers who needed help at the self checkout. He had a phenomenal attitude and provided a superb customer service experience! Don't lose this guy and give him a raise! Wayne you were awesome! Thank you.

Very nice and clean store. Items are easy to find. I didn't give 5 stars due to the fact that the employees didn't seem to want to be there. No one was rude, but no one was friendly either. Very meh if you get what I'm saying

6/28/22 around 1:30pm at self check out and needed assistance waited a long time and no one was around to assist. Approached to customer service lady was busy with a client and ignored me. I got her attention and told me supervisor is on conference call. There was already a long line at self check out people waiting to get assistance. No assistance at all until one lady from registrar came over. No manager on duty very disappointed.

So far I haven't had any issues with food from this location. However, I love buying fresh flowers. Today I bought a bouquet that looked fresh until I go it home. Cut the wrapping off and the stems were dead and petals begin to fall off most of the stems. They were withered and staring to mildew. This is the second bunch I've bought and the first bunch I bought a few weeks ago was starting to die as well. The floral department needs to check the flowers after they've sat in those buckets of water. I was really disappointed and just tossed the whole bouquet. I'll buy them from Wegmans going forward.

I was at this location yesterday to buy flowers for my mom. They have a lot of beautiful selection but I was looking for something specific and the manager, Kaye, did not bother to help me and accommodated my request. She was very nice and made sure I was satisfied with the flower arrangement. She really did above and beyond.

Mary Ann was awesome in the Floral Department, great customer service and attention to detail. Her expertise, pleasant, and helpful manner made my Saturday morning. She made for an excellent Safeway experience!

Ordered grocery pick-up on 4/11 for same day pick-up between 3-8. I received a text saying my order was ready. I showed up at 4pm and tried to check in via the message link provided and it said technical difficulties were being had. So I called the number on the parking sign to tell them I had arrived - No one answered. Called 4 more times with no answer. So I called the store - it directed me to the store's customer service desk. The line rang and rang. Eventually someone picked up and immediately hung up the phone. This happened 2 times. I had a sleeping child in the car which is why I did not go into the store. After roughly 45 mins, I called Safeway's main customer service number and canceled my order for a refund. Maybe this is an isolated event, but I do not recommend and learned my lesson.

Good food and products but most of the staff could not answer questionsabout the hot food. Don't go in the evening as it is always busy and notenough cashiers. There are long lines that take forever and of course, they close the self-checkouts to make it even better for us customers who have nothing better to than stand in line!

The lady working at the Starbucks this morning was incredibly friendly and had a great attitude! Normally early in the morning people aren’t so happy but it was definitely a nice encounter to start off my morning ! Thank you for the great recommendation for my tea! Definitely need more people like you working in the industry !

Terrible costumer service at the bakery section. I was truly upset that the bakery staffs gave me an attitude when I asked a question. I simply asked if they could make a cake for 50 people and they just responded it in the rudest way. I asked if there was any round ones left and she repeated it again (probably thinking I didn't understand English or something). I just said "okay thanks then" and this elderly woman came too ( she could barely walk) and she was holding a bag to ask for bread but I wasn't sure if she speaks English cause she was pointing at the bread. AND THIS OTHER BAKERY STAFF came to her and snatched her bag and gave this poor lady an attitude telling her "what you want and how many you want?". Like in what mind made them think they can just act like that to these people. They wouldn't like it if some other people acted like that to them. The other employees were kind and nice except the bakery section. Also the Starbucks woman was rude as well! It's this attitude they're giving to everyone that's so upsetting. Please change this so the other costumers wont get the same problem. I'm only going to go to this Safeway for the soup now.

Poor store quality. Extremely over priced. Worst is the nasty customer service. Worst place to shop. Best thing is to shop elsewhere. Also the pharmacy is a joke. Do not trust them with your refills always late and out of stock. Poor service. I would have gave this store and pharmacy zero stars if there was that option. I wish they never closed the Safeway down on Richmond Hwy . 22306. It was the best.

The only reason I frequently use this Supermarket, is because it's the closest to home. Prices are typically high. Stock is usually low. Meats seem to expire quickly when not eaten or frozen within two or three days. Registers are rarely open and typically have lengthy lines. Staff seems to be unfriendly and Management does not appear engaged with motivating them to perform at higher quality. Beggars and panhandling can be found at the front door and even occasionally inside the store.After 3 years, maybe I just need to be less lazy and begin spending my time and money at a better location.

The "fresh " bread and pastries are often VERY stale - and often there isn't any at all, or very little. The produce dept is definitely better than the "bakery" although one week there was a pile of overripe avocados that sat there all week - they shouldn't have been for sale - they were mush.In the early morning (the only time I go - on my way to work) there is always only one cashier available. Yesterday I had 5 items and I had to wait for someone (in the express lane) who had almost 50.The ONLY reason I ever go to this store is because it's right near my work.

Produce in the produce department look fresh some of the cases were a little dirty have a little bit of mold on them but was a real nice Department meat department look nice Bakery was excellent picked up a few things in the deli olive bar the shelves look pretty nicely. Police were nice and helpful right inside the door the floral department was beautiful gorgeous roses nice orchids and my favorite thing there was a Starbucks right inside the door

This use to be one of the better locations. Over the last year or so there has been a turnover in employees. The lines are alqays long, no matter what hour. You can never find anyone to assist and the customer service desk is seldom manned. Often employees are paged by a cashier. You wait and eventually someone comes. My question is, what are these people doing out of site that keeps them so busy.I don't see demand being an issue. There are always customers in the store. What is the reason the quality of this location has plummeted?

Horrible customer service from the pharmacy technicians.. They were extremely rude when I earnestly asked them to correct the info on my vaccination card that they wrote down wrong THREE separate times in a row. They wrote down my name, the date, and the lot number wrong 3 separate times.This is a result of them rushing and not giving the patients their respect and care they deserve. If you use this pharmacy, I highly recommend going to a different Safeway with better customer service. Especially one where they will not be rude over mistakes that they made for something so simple.

I have not been in a Safeway for at least 10 years. Went to this one because they had Beyond Meat not frozen. Service was excellent at the meat counter. The customer service guy was very informative told me how to cook and season the plant based meat.. Gave me excellent pointers. Went home made awesome tasting burgers.. Happy Happy Burger eater..My house of vegetarians were is heaven eating this burger. Finally we ate the same meal together. Lol lol

I stay a block away from this store. And believe me you will be in the lines a very very very long time. Half the time I give up and leave in frustration. Because my 98 year old grandmother move faster then these cashiers. Most of the time its only one or two cashiers and lines be going down the aisle's. I work at a grocery store. And we have to have a ring speed. Which they see how fast you scan items. These store most definitely doesn't do that. I know this store has lost a lot of money. Because just I gave in line a lot of others did too. Real need to pick up the pace like its a race.

My normal grocery store was severely lacking due to the "supply chain issues ". I was told by coworkers on this particular day to try Safeway or Wegmans. There was an above adequate amount of food here. I chose Safeway because it was the least out my way.

It was an average grocery store maybe even slightly below-average, mainly because of the small size. The men's restroom was in need of attention too. I got here first thing in the morning too so that means they left without cleaning it the night before.

I like being able to find new products well in advance of other grocery chains having them on the shelves. The produce section has some items that are harder to find, too. It's also nice to have a small Starbucks for when shopping takes a while and you get thirsty.The one drawback for me is produce freshness and occasionally finding items in the middle aisles that are expired. The last time I came in, I bought a cup of pomegranate arils. When I opened the plastic top to put them in my yogurt, I saw that the plastic peel off top was mostly detached. Then I checked the expiration date and it was FIVE WEEKS AGO! Ew, gross! That was $7 wasted. Now I know to double check everything because the staff clearly don't or not often enough. So disappointing.
