I just took my sweet baby here to be groomed after having the most horrendous experience at the Paw Spa. I was so nervous after that crazy experience but am so happy to say that my faith has been restored!This place is professional, clean & safe (not on a busy street like the Paw Spa) with a wonderful staff.She even wanted to go back in after 3 hours of grooming… that says it all! It always helps that you can offer your dog a positive association by getting their treats from there as well & basically all the supplies you would need for your furry friend.Selene did a FANTASTIC job & the most beautiful groom to date!My precious pup & I have been eagerly awaiting the opening of this old town location. Today was the day! Pleasantly greeted by the friendly staff Shay, Katie & Steph! The set up is very well thought out and tons of options for everything you might need for your pet along with super friendly & professional service! Our new go to for sure!Highly recommend!

Stopped in to this shop today. Greeted in a real and friendly way. My pup was a star upon arrival and got too much attention! The knowledgeable and kind employee (with beautiful eyes and purple hair) asked me a bunch of thoughtful questions about my dog and helped me find the perfect food. Brought it home and my dog loved it. I will shop here all the time! So glad they are open in the neighborhood! THANK YOU LOYAL!

My Cavapoo puppy has somewhat confusing hair but that was no problem for Cherie! I’ve been going to her for over six months and she’s consistently done an amazing job. She’s so sweet and kind to my little guy. If you’re looking for a groomer that knows what she’s doing, look no further! Cherie is your girl 🤩

This is one of the few places in the world my dog insists on visiting. Even when we are out for a totally unrelated walk, he will stare me down at intersections until i go the way he wants to go: to Loyal Companion. The store offers premium dog (and cat) food, treats, toys, and accessories. We go mostly for the treats! They also offer grooming services -- which I wasn't previously aware of! -- so we will also be coming here for nail trimmings on the reg. A nice little stop on the fringe of Old Town for a break for your pup from the heat and a drink of water in a spacious and inviting spot, the staff is always welcoming and helpful. 🐾

The BEST groomer in town and around. We are so happy here. Our dog loves Selina the groomer and her team. She takes the dog on a walk to help them with anxiety and she’s paying attention to detail. Our dog Lotte loves her. We moved and went to another groomer but weren’t happy at all. So now we’re driving 40min just to bring her to the groomer. The last groomer at another location traumatized our dog and Selina immediately saw a change in her behavior and that she was super anxious this time. She was very gentle with her and took extra time for her. She even took her on a 15min walk for her to calm down and to not stress her out too much. Thanks so much! We will never go anywhere else.

My sister just moved to the area with her 1 year old puppy. We took a walk down the street to the shop and immediately we were greeted warmly by the manager, Shay! The shop is fantastic and so is Shay! We found all of Talullah’s favorite treats and will definitely be back soon! Thank you Shay for all of your help! ☺️

I love this place! They have a good selection of healthier food and treat options compared to big name stores, and the staff is very friendly.Shay went out of her way to deliver to my house for same day delivery even though it was out of the "delivery range", and my order was neat and correct. Thank you guys!

Really great store. Bright, clean, well maintained. Like upscale petco. But still affordable. Nice service too. Pleasantly surprised and will be back.

Didn’t know this location was a pet playground . My last review I rated you guys a 3 but overall I didn’t feel safe . There were 2 dogs roaming the store without any restraint. Today my mother in law stopped by to grab cat treats but was taking over by a smell stench of urine . The store clerks didn’t address my mother in law but were having personal conversations about employees. This place is over all a dump and I will advise anyone in the area to just go to Pet Mart.

Happy to see another shop open in the neighborhood. Good variety of options for cat food brands other nearby stores do not carry. My kitty Mylo loves Stella & Chewy and happy to have a local place to shop!

We took our puppy for her first haircut here and had a great experience. The groomer listened to what we wanted. We showed her pictures and she delivered.Sadly, our second visit was beyond disappointment. It was a different groomer .We told her what we wanted, we specifically asked her not to cut our puppy pony tail.To our regret when we got her she looked like a sheep after being sheared.All her hair was very short and uneven from head to tail. Also, the pony tail was gone.We sent an email explaining what had happened and it was disregarded.BewareWe never heard from them. Poor costumer service

Was in there browsing the store because I never heard of this pet store before. So I found a couple things and bought them up to the counter to pay for them. The young lady that was up front was very rude. I spoke to her she gave a a quick hello because she was on her cell phone texting someone. Than she says you ready to check out. She rings me in and I ask about the Wellness Pass. She didn’t answer me she picked her phone back up because I guess another text came through. She is a very rude and unprofessional young lady. And you shouldn’t have that type of employee working there. I will Not be returning to this store due to the horrible first experience

Cherie is an AMAZING groomer! and person of course. she has taken such great care of my mutt of a doodle, we both love seeing her, and Baloos groom has lasted us PERFECTLY for 3 months now. We have never had that happen elsewhere! If you want a a great relationship with your groomer, she’s the one.

They didn’t have right dog food in stock. Staff wasn’t helpful AT ALL . Probably, no DEFINITELY will be the last time visiting this store .

They stock small fresh bags of the ridiculously expensive cat food that is the only thing my beast will eat, and their prices are better than online or big chains. Excellent service, when I had an emergency (buy or [get] bit), they confirmed the product was there, told me the price over the phone, and had it waiting for me at the counter.

Such a great place for my pup! He makes me stop by on EVERY walk and the amazing employees treat him like a rock star. He had his very first full groom here and the groomer took such good care of him that he jumps whenever he sees her. Thanks for coming to the neighborhood, Loyal, Sinatra (and his mom!) loves you!Update 7/11/2022: Selena is still the only groomer I will trust my dog with, she's magic with animals! I have coworkers bringing in their dogs as well, and they are all amazed by her connection to our fur babies!

I can't say enough about our experience with Sarah, the groomer who beautifully groomed our 2 Chinese Crested Powderpuffs today. She kind, patient, thorough and incredibly skilled. Our dogs came out absolutely beautiful and she was able to calm them both almost immediately.

I visited today, and a few days ago, attempting to purchase a harness for my dog. On my original visit, the sales woman was on the phone discussing her weekend plans while helping me with sizing. I was so frustrated at the divided attention that I just purchased what she said would work and left. Turns out the harness was too big. I returned today, asking if I could exchanged it, and received an absolutely unresponsive (same) sales woman. Luckily- store manager(?) Taylor popped out of nowhere and was able to completely assist me and help me with everything I needed. Typically I have a great experience at this store, but my last two visits have been very disappointing- but thanks to Taylor for wonderfully turning it around today!

My pup, Bailey & I were walking early this morning & she pulled me to the Old Town Loyal Companion because we had been there once before. I told her it was closed...BUT they were setting up for their grand opening. Not only did they welcome us in, but allowed us to browse & make a very small purchase. Christine made that happen. BUT, I must give a shout out to Stephanie! Bailey’s pretty picky about treats (likes the meaty kind) and Stephanie found exactly what she wanted & is now Bailey’s BFF. ALSO, I left my credit card there and Stephanie chased me down St Asaph to bring it to me. Stephanie went above & beyond to make Bailey happy PLUS went out of her way to return my CC to me. I’m sure we will be regulars there & I’m excited to make a grooming appointment too!
