The red tin tin pizza was slightly above average just looking at the sauce, cheese, and toppings. However, I was not a fan of the crust (weirdly like whole wheat and not crispy or chewy, rather like a dinner roll).The artichoke spinach dip was really tasty. They put cheese in it as well to add to the combo. I like that they serve it with pita bread in addition to tortilla chips (the chips were kinda stale). Big selection of craft beers.

Come for the beer, eat somewhere else.Solid beer rotation. Friendly staff. Decent pizza.The Internet here is soooo slow. Phone signal dead zone and they don't have WiFi.🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and gluten free pizza options.Dietary restrictions: They allow for substitutions.Kid-friendliness: Saw a couple families. The food is very variable. Sometimes the pizza is amazing - crisp crust, even balance of toppings, crispy /savory bacon etc, but sometimes it's super droopy/limp, over cheesed to the point it tastes like plastic, or you pay $2 to add red onion and you can't even find any. This is still my favorite pizza place around, but half the time the overall experience is 3/5 stars while other times it's 5/5. Wish there was more consistentcy

I love Lost Dog and have gone to the Arlington locations for years. We were in town for a funeral and went to the closest one to where we were staying. The service was AWFUL! We waited over 40 minutes for our pizzas, had to find the server multiple times for help, and they didn’t do the checks correctly. I was so disappointed because I’ve never had this issue at any other location. When it was time to leave I saw no employee at the bar, none in the restaurant, and walked over to carry out and saw 6-7 people hanging out behind the counter just chatting. Thankfully the food was still top notch but when you have to go searching for help at 1pm on a Wednesday and there are maybe ten customers in the restaurant, something is wrong.

Pizza is bland. I remembered it being better but the crust and flavor don't stand out for fairly pricey pizza. Lena's wood fired pizza nearby for me instance is pricey but excellent. That said, Lost Dog has a nice patio and nice people.Kid-friendliness: Kid's are welcome and a good fit

I have not heard of this place. I have to be honest. I went here by accident, but it was a real treat. My goodness. Sometimes spontaneity is the special ingredient to great food. The food was different in a good way and very filling. The prices are very reasonable. The customer service was great. The wait time for the food was not long at all. I will definitely go there again.There's parking in a garage nearby the establishment, so it's a good area to be at.

Oh my WORD! The food was delicious! Who orders lasagna at a deli? This girl. I'm so glad I did, because it was amazing! The perfect amount of sauce, cheese, everything. I got the spinach variety. My husband loved his gyro, too. I had quite a bit left over.

This was a great find in North Old Town!! I was skeptical at first because the website does not truly depict the size of the menu. I was afraid we would be buying deli sandwiches and cans of beer from the market. However they have a very nice bar and dining area. Hope was great at recommending beers and sandwiches after asking a couple questions about our tastes. She was spot on!! They have a wide variety of beers on tap and almost 5 pages of food on the menu. I will definitely be going back fairly regularly.

I ordered the Howling Hound salad for pickup, with portobellos subbed instead of chicken, and oil & vinegar instead of the ranch. They forgot to add the avocado that comes with the salad, and they did not sub out my dressing. I double checked the dressing with the guy when I picked it up and he said the oil and vinegar was on the salad, but it was not. Also, the portobello was raw, though the menu shows that when you add portobello to a salad it is grilled.I ate it because I was super hungry and it was raining, but otherwise I probably would have taken it back. I’m leaving this review in hopes that management can tune in their food prep staff training.

Great place to come and have a good cold draft beer. Gotta tell you, the draft 🍺 list is big and will have to come multiple times to try new beers. The best part it changes continuesly. As for the food, amazing pizzas and sandwiches. I give a 4 only because individual size 🍕 are little expensive compare to other places. However satisfaction is guaranteed in Lost Dog Cafe!

Wow. This is my favorite spot that I have eaten at in Alexandria. Great beer menu, extensive food menu, hospitable staff, clean restaurant AND they have a dog rescue mission. This place was absolutely outstanding. I couldn’t decide on what retail to buy myself; and I wanted all of it. Please don’t skip this spot. It’s amazing :) I plan to visit very frequently. That turkey rueben!

First time I ordered pizza from them after a little search on google, great reviews but unfortunately my pizza was dry for two cheese pizza and the crest was very dry and sweet. We hardly finished two slices. May be it’s our test but the crest has a very weird test.

Absolutely the best place we ate on our Washington DC trip. Huge selection of sandwiches pizzas and pastas, and a really good beer selection. I have been looking for a good stout out in Virginia and this place had 10 on tap. Even better that a portion of proceeds go towards animal rescues and shelters. Really wish they had one of these out where I live. Service was great as well

Staff is always friendly. Great selection of pies, sandwiches and beers. Lots to decide from! If you like Marinara sauce, you have to get the side of theirs homemade. It is an up charge but it is a large portion for a "side" and really good if you get a pizza without sauce cooked onto it.

Lost Dog is a solid choice any time you want a casual meal. It’s a great place to bring kids and also if you want to grab local beer and watch sports. We like to go to the take out window more than sit down. My only complaint is they constantly forget something in take out orders - dressing, side item, etc. - so check your order before you leave. I had one bad experience in about 10 visits and the manager took care of us. Just went there last Sunday and the server was awesome.

Been here a few times now and each time the sandwiches and beer were very good. Pizza is also well made although my mom was sightly annoyed that the cauliflower dough still contained rice flour.

Awful pizza and service! Do yourself a favor and do not order at this location. The GM is extremely rude to the customers and treats the staff horribly. Spend your time and money at businesses that treat their staff and customers with the utmost respect during these pandemic times! Not to mention we waited over an hour while in the store, for a pizza that was apparently thin crust, I guess they were really trying to "stretch and save" on the dough and when we ask to see the lady manager, she was extremely rude to us as we inquired about our long wait....DONT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE....NOT WORTH IT!
