I love this location because it is so close to my job and the customer service is always wonderful.Recently, I stopped by their floral shop for a bouquet for a close friend's birthday. The attendant, Gwen, was nice and arranged the flowers beautifully! I'll definitely be back for more :)

Harris Teeter has done it again! The employees at this store are always friendly and helpful. However, today, Harris Teeter employee Arthur (who works in the Frozen Food Department), was particularly helpful. I was trying to find frozen roasted garlic. Arthur helped me search the entire frozen food section. While the search was not successful (it appears that Harris Teeter does not carry this item), Arthur was able to show me peeled garlic in the Produce Section. As turns out, the peeled garlic is a wonderful alternative. Kudos to Arthur for excellent, five star service.

Renting a house near by for the week and we walked to this grocery store to get some groceries. The store is well setup and clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Our first plan was to bag everything and walk back to the house and the ladies fixed us up that would help us get back with all our bags. After we loaded up all our stuff decided we would booked an Uber to pick us up and carry us back to house. We forgot one item at checkout and the helpful folks there came outside and found us to bring our fruit tray out. Will be shopping here for all our needs when in the area.

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen.This store is the worst management I have ever ever seen. The store general manager is Africa, African-American guy heavy. all he does is sitting in the office he has no idea what’s going on in his store. The Pizza Hut department is out of control. They have no hot pepper pepper for the last five weeks. I asked him can you laugh from the show and he standing by his office? And he screaming, which he was standing by aisle three and says hey, go get some fresh peppers and this man can put it on his pizza. Really so I followed him. White man. Skinny 05 11 he’s telling me. Hey, follow me really you’re gonna talk to customer like that. Hey follow me. And he grabbed black pepper. And she gave the black pepper to the lady who is working in a pizza section. She says this is black pepper Call asked for crushed pepper who is making pizza she says this is black pepper. Two.every time I go there I park in the garage and every time I go 2 or 3 senior citizen they get back in the car. They say is hot as hell. The parking lot is so dirty and smells worse than a garbage truck. The last pizza. That I pay for it I was in a hurry. I didn’t look at it, but I took a picture of it. You can see that.

The pick-up process at this place is absolutely dreadful! You have to ring the bell and then endure an agonizing wait until someone finally appears to hand you your order. All they will say, "Oh, I'll be there in a minute," but that minute feels like an eternity!”

Yo this place the best My grandma was lost and there was this lady name Melanie who was on customer service desk and was kind enough to help her through her ordeal my grandma was supposed to wait at the checkout line but she forgot and was lost inside store . Really enjoy shopping at this place and again Thank You Melanie for being an Angel 😊

I came by this grocery store at right about noon today with hunger in my mind. My initial thought was to purchase one of their ready-made sandwiches. I found out quickly that they strangely had no sandwiches prepared today. While in the deli section I noticed huge prepared pizzas that looked absolutely delicious! Allen who works in this section eagerly served me up two slices of the supreme pizza. He heated them up and put them in 2 pizza boxes. He then thanked me for trying his wonderful pizza that he prepared himself. Allen was right! I haven't had pizza this delicious in a minute! This grocery store really is a step above most other chain grocery stores in the area.

WORST Management!! Takes forever to get something from the deli. Checkout is ALWAYS a nightmare. Staff is generally very nice, but the service delivery is not well managed. The food and produce are good, but I dread getting through the store.

Of the two grocery stores in this part of Old Town, Harris Teeter has a more comprehensive selection than Trader Joe's. If you have a specific list of standard grocery items you need, you have to go here. It's clean and has later hours than TJ.Otherwise, this store has serious problems. The biggest one is inadequate staffing. On dozens of trips, I can't recall ever seeing a staff member in the aisles who I can ask for help finding an item. I usually have to walk up to the checkout and interrupt a cashier. Also, there are rarely more than two cashiers, and even more rarely are there baggers. If you don't want to deal with buggy self-checkout, you have to wait in a long line -- as opposed to TJ's, which moves very fast even at peak times. The customer service counter is never staffed. You have to stand there until someone notices you. And the web order process has been hit and miss -- mainly miss. The staff often seems to have no idea you're there waiting, even when you notify them both by app (as the signs tell you too) and using the call button. I routinely have to wait 10 or 20 minutes. If another of the big players moved into the neighborhood, I'd ditch this location instantly.

Harris Teeter has done it again! I invited my colleague out for lunch and we got some deli sandwiches. Miss Tammie from the deli was delightful and pleasant. She made our sandwiches with love; YUMMY! YAY to Miss Tammie!

Infuriating! They NEVER, and I mean NEVER have more than one register that allows cash payment. And it is always the only register with 1 checkout associate working and the line is all the way to the back of the store. The management is incredibly stupid for only having one register allow cash payments, because cash payments mean zero merchant fees every time that card is swiped. TRADER JOE'S IS WAY BETTER!

Horrible! Poor selection, prices like you’re at Whole Foods, and ALWAYS a line because they NEVER have anyone working the registers. The self-checkout is sometimes staffed by a single employee, and no matter who it is they’re always incredibly slow, if they’re working at all instead of wandering off or chatting with friends. I sincerely hope they’re bought out by a better grocery store. The current store offers zero value to the neighborhood.

Objectively, it's a grocery store, but it's the best option for a fully stocked grocery store in the area. Good selection of alcohol. The pharmacy is nice as it is less busy than the area cvs stores. I wish they had more options for quick takeout meals. Their pizza looks nice, but given the options on my walk home I will never buy it.

I've shopped here for years. It is a great store, although the staff seems very limited at checkout. Top not guy in the produce department, Amin *sic, is awesome and always goes above and beyond. He's a valuable asset and one of the main reasons I still shop there.

This place blows. You walk in and there are almost never carts or baskets. Half the stuff is a few dollars more expensive than nearby supermarkets. And then there are like half the number of cashiers needed to accommodate the crowd. Self checkout you say? There are like 5 registers for that, creating a line that spans practically an entire aisle. I just spent fifteen minutes waiting in line for a self checkout. I spent less time shopping than waiting in line.I get that you're short staffed, but this is insane. Offer more money and hire people because this place is impossible to shop at right now.

Just visited this location in old town and I will have to say this is my favorite Harris Teeter in the DMV. And honestly the best place to get sea food. The VIC special often makes it very affordable. Lorel was the gentleman that help me out. The young man with the dreads and his customers service was amazing. I appreciated his patience. I hate shopping in a grocery stores but that feeling might have just changed. It’s comfortable, clean and inviting.

Jayne, the seafood goddess, saved my entire weekend a few weeks ago. She went above and beyond anything I could expect. I was in need of some country ham for ham biscuits I was making that afternoon for a tailgate the next morning, which is apparently difficult to find in Northern Virginia, but Jayne was able to find some at a different Harris Teeter and was able to get it delivered to that store within half an hour. Upon arrival, she helped me determine how much I needed, the best cuts of ham, and what might be the best way to fit in what I needed. She was helpful, kind, knowledgeable, fun, and extremely accommodating. She is everything you hope for in an employee. While a life-long Harris Teeter customer, I prefer this location and will continue to get my groceries from this location as long as live in the area. Jayne is a rockstar and amazing. She saved the day for me and provided the best grocery store experience I have ever had. Thank you Jayne!!!

This store has great employees but is constantly in disarray. Everything I noticed during my most recent visit.1) No grocery carts at 11am on a Monday.2) No baskets either unless you go and take one from self checkout.3) 2 out-of-order self checkout machines.4) 1 open regular cashier.5) The food on the hot bar was congealed, which is strange because it was so close to lunch.6) Up escalator broken7) Cart escalator broken and beeping. Constantly beeping.8) Store restocking across all aisles while the story was busy.I think the employees here are fine, but these problems paint a systemic issue because of decisions made by management/corporate.

The grocery store that does not believe in providing customer's baskets or carts.If you come at any busy time, there are almost no baskets or carts. Most people just hold their stuff in their hands.No good if you are with kids or cannot use your arms to hold your items. Fine if you are a single person with healthy limbs or just need 1-2 items.

I use to visit this Harris Teeters store every day, sometimes twice in a day. I stopped by for lunch a few days ago and bought a prepared chicken breast to share with my dog and a co-worker. shortly after eating the chicken we all experienced an awful day in a half! The chicken was spoiled! Thank you for not managing food safety!
