Very disappointing experience today with the retail supervisor, Santiago. I had 3 items to return all receipted and in the same condition that they were purchased in. When I approached the register I was rudely interrogated by Santiago who questioned first, “Are the tags attached?” When all he had to do was pick up the merchandise and see it. Secondly he asked me, “Why are you returning these?” THEN he tried to argue me down that one of the items was not on the receipt forcing me to match the item tag # to the printed number on the receipt. Finally, he could not figure out how to rerun the items to my debit card. I am frequent and loyal shopper of Gabe’s and deeply resent being made to feel like a shoplifter today.

Terrible location. I’m used to the locations in Pittsburgh that are amazing. This store is unorganized & limited in its selections.

If there below star I would give it to Fab and Sandiago.Fab was abosulutely rude and worst manager I have ever saw and today I spent so much time to find some good clothes in very reasonable price and on the register he took all tags and stated that’s the wrong price I cannot honor. Plz take pictures if you found a good price so u can talk to manager who is also not a very helpful. We tried to contact customer service and sent them an email. No response.

This was my first time at this particular location. I'm giving it 2 stars because:1. The store was CRAMPED. They had so many things in there and not enough space. The clothing racks were so close together that you had to squeeze between them. In the other aisles only 1 person could go down one at a time.2. The air conditioning was broken. I was sweating the whole time. I did ask the cashier and she confirmed that it was broken. No idea when it was getting fixed.I do like shopping at Gabe's if I'm just looking for a t-shirt or something but this was just not a good experience with everything so cramped and being hot. It was hard to go through racks looking for things. If there was ALOT more space and air conditioning I might come back but until then, no.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!..The manager named Fab ( atleast thats what I was told her name was) was VERY rude, wouldn't allow me to try on clothes & the store was still open for a little over another hour, NO A/C, Fan etc & it was 90-100 degrees outside & one employee was in his 70s-80s & him & the very pleasant cashier Carlos said no A/C etc over a month! When finished checking out my bags were still in the cart & I was trying to get situated so I could leave & the manager came over & said "Are you done with that?" It was VERY CLEAR I was not. I HOPE they get a better manager & A/C!! The young man Carlos who was the cashier & elderly gentleman with glasses deserve a raise & were VERY friendly & respectful!

I went in to buy a gift card for my friend. When I asked for one, the cashier radioed to ask for help. I'm guessing it was one of the supervisors that came up front and when I requested a gift card, that supervisor immediately had an attitude with the cashier, pointing to where the gift cards were. There was no need to embarass the cashier in front of customers. The supervisor clearly said very rudely, "you called me up front about gift cards!?" I thought that was very unnecessary. There is no need to question/confront an employee with an issue in front of customers. As a supervisor myself, the attitude was very uncalled for and the cashier apologized nonstop to me. Fellow Supervisors, we are all learning. We're no better than others so stop acting like you are.

This is my favorite store for discount clothes , shoes, accessories , health and beauty iems and everyday items. My husband loves this store also. it's similar to a Ross and so nice. The one in Manassas is huge and the people are nice. The one in Alexandra is not as but the people are nice and you can find just about anything you need there also.I recommend this store to everyone

I have been coming to this Rugged Wearhouse location for over 15 years. The store used to be a hot mess with unwelcoming and very rude staff. Merchandise was thrown everywhere and the workers would trash talk the customers right in front of their faces. The only thing that kept me coming back were the prices and quality of certain merchandise (like finding a needle in a haystack). Even then I would sometimes walk right passed the store cause of the mess of merchandise you can see from the window. But now the store and staff have literally made a 180º turn. The staff is so friendly and helpful!! You can really tell that the people running this place actually care. The store is now organized and well kept (for a discount clothing store). There is much more organization when it comes to lines for the dressing room and register, which was very much needed. I don't know what happened (maybe new management??) but I am glad for this change. I will continue to be a Rugged Wearhouse shopper for life!

I think this place is great. Name brand items for cheap. Usually see carhartt, levi’s, adidas, etc. My husband and I come here most often to buy surgical masks for cheaper price. We often buy items here to donate to shelters also. Overall, Gabe’s is awesome.

I used to get really unique pieces at Rugged Wearhouse and gave GAbes a chance but the quality and styles were...not good. Lots of polyester and bad prints. I miss Rugged Wearhouse, I still get compliments on items from there.

If you don't mind sifting through the clothes for your size, it's a reasonably priced place for brand named items. In addition to clothes and shoes they sale household items as well. Only one thing: If you see something you like or need, get it while you're there because it might not be there the next time you arrive. I don't like the idea of them selling food items but I guess it was good for business during the pandemic.

Gabe's surprised me with some of there clothes. They had some nike, addidas , northface, apparel for a great price. They also have a variety of shoes and work boots. From not very good to very high end work boots and those prices are fair as well over all. It is cluttered with clothes but if you can handle walking around displays its worth the saving.

They seem to have more selection of clothes but seems that the quality is getting bad. Bought a pair of pants and within a week they ripped!The lines get long and only one cashier. The changing rooms are always locked and full of clothes.

Common selection of clothes for the consumer and tight aisles. Price is the big selling point here. They have a few things you won't find at most places and that is part of the draw. Lots of shirts for men and tops for ladies.

It's not the same as Rugged Wearhouse! Rugged Wearhouse carried better brands of clothing, shoes, and their clearance items were priced to go at $1.00, $2.00 and $3.00! You could not leave it in the store for those prices.The ladies shoes are of cheaper quality and not fashionable at all.They use to carry clothing from Lane and Bryant, but I don't see anything from there anymore.They use to carry shoes from Nike shok, Reebok Classic, Easy Spirit, Nine West, Sketchers, Michelle K, Naturalizer and more better brand shoes. A lot of their shoes look very cheap.I used to go to all their stores, but not anymore.Hopefully things will change for the better! I don't tell people about the store anymore since the name changed.They use to stay open until 7:00 pm on Sundays. I really liked the late hour on Sunday.I used to go to their stores in Bowie, College Park, MD, Severna Park, MD, Alexandria, VA, and Laurel, MD. Some of these locations have closed. So call before you go!

Store cluster cloths and shoes in boxes on floor. Very unorganized. Kids cloths with adults men’s cloths with women’s. Cloths on floor in a pile. Store staff Followed me around store And all the way to register with items. Other ethnic groups in store they were not followed around. Very offensive.
