Awful experience. I recently arrived in the US to work here (insured up to the max, working at top tier place in DC) and went to get my first prescription. I was told my insurance didn’t cover it and the cost would be hundreds of dollars. So I made some phone calls and came back a week later armed with all my insurance IDs. I was on my way to work. And this pharmacy completely ruined my week. They said I needed a state ID, and then they said they would need a “government ID”. I said “a UK passport is a government ID, it’s just not issued by the US government.” And they lied and claimed they needed a US passport. They said it was “suspicious” that I didn’t have a social security number (I had just applied) and refused to give me my medication citing some nonsense about it being impossible for them to enter my details in the computer system. Three weeks later I still don’t have my medication, and I had to make several calls to my doctor and insurance to get them to send the medication to a different pharmacy. Thank god the other pharmacy (also CVS) isn’t run by spiteful lunatics.

Website said I didn't need an appointment at this location for novavax or seasonal flu vaccine. So I walked in and refuse to give me vaccine without a prescription and also said they don't do walk-ins. I asked why the website said otherwise and the young woman just says"I don't know".
