I bought a gift here for my boyfriend. The man who was running things made me laugh many times as I weighed what to buy. You must make this the first stop when heading out Route 50 to all the wineries for the day. Wally is brilliant at hearing you describe a wine you like then matching it with a wine in his shop. If he doesn’t have a match in stock, he will let you know. He has a core set of wines that are there, but also new wines arrive each week. You defiantly will leave in happy and satisfied for stopping. I bet before you get to your next destination you are already thinking about returning to The Aldie Peddler. Milo Jams, jellies, soups, peanuts, salsa and sauces for sale. Bacon Ketchup Too!

My husband and I Love going to the Peddler ! Wally is totally amazing, makes you feel at home from the second you step in , so friendly, helpful in every way , we buy every day wines and special wines too , you always learn something new talking to Wally about wines. Aldie Peddler combines the charm of a small town wine shop with the feeling of being a regular at Cheers! If you are looking for a great, and well stocked, wine store coupled with an AMAZING time, stop by and say hi to Wally and all of the Peddler's regulars. This is no longer sales antiques but a huge selection of wines and some local food.I like owner Wally, he is very friendly and very easy going. He shared his stories with us which I very much enjoyed.If you are a wine lover you should come this a a great place with great people.

I first met Wally when I turned 21. 17 years later he still doesn't disappoint. Despite the amount of customers he helps me personalize my shopping everytime and recommends wine fit to my taste. There are two reasons I keep going back 1) wally. 2) all of the amazing wine!! He has helped me find classy bottles to celebrate milestones and helped me find random things like "I want a mermaid on the label" the whole Aldie Peddler team is amazing

Delightful atmosphere of well-selected wines in a charming historic house. Good prices, good service ; the owner, Wally, is more than affable. In addition to good wines from countries like Bulgaria, Hungary, South Africa and France, there is also a room with gourmet food items (dried soup & dip mixes, pickled vegetables, nuts, sauces, etc)—in the former kitchen, in fact !

We stopped at Aldie Peddler last weekend with our adult children. We tried to explain to them before we got there how fun a store owner Wally is. It was hard for them to see this until we got there and they LOVED him! Not only does he have a great selection of wines at great prices, and so many other things like Jams, salad dressings, nuts, etc, but he gives a super tasty wine tasting and he does it with a great sense of humor and class. You will walk away from his store happy, with some great wines and a desire to go back. Needless to say, our kids want to return. We have been several times and always look forward to going back!! Merci beaucoup, Wally!!!!

We've droven by several times and finally decided to stop thinking it was just a wine store. We were pleasantly surprised to find it was much more!! The wine selection is great, Wally (the gracious proprietor) was an amazing host, and the jam and sauce selection was superb. We had a great time chatting with everyone there, it felt more like a party with close freinds than a wine store! Will definitely be back!!

A little gem in a charming village. The owner, Wally and his sister, karen are always there to greet you and make you feel at home. They have an awesome selection of wine at prices that cannot be beat!I stop by several times a year eventhough I am over 2 hours away.They have an amazing selection of outdoor furniture as well...I'm sure this is the real business, but I need wine not furniture right now
