Very nice people, and willing to help any way they can. Chicks purchased on March 3, 20023, and I got my first egg on June 19, 2023. Edit10/13/23- This is not the fault of Yorktown Feed, but I purchased one chick called “Easter Egger”. This chick was supposed to lay eggs with a blue to green color. These birds are more expensive, probably because of the color of their eggs. My chick lays brown eggs, like the other birds, that are not Easter Eggers. Some research I did suggests, the incorrect rooster was used in the mating process. Feedback should be provided to the hatchery, as a customer complaint.

Today we visited Yorktown Feed and Seed for the first time! We were so impressed by this adorable little store! They have a large selection of animal feed and supplies plus wild bird food and more! We had a great chat with the owner while we were there and we are SO excited about coming back!!

Wonderful people, we got baby chicks here. They are small and limited on choices. Prices were higher. However, if I lived near here I would probably come here for the feed just for the small downhome feel and be able to get in and out quickly compared to large chains

Love the down home feel and service you get from Yorktown Feed n Seed. I buy chicken feed and other chicken supplements, treats, etc. My kids love visiting the resident bunny, Hop. Prices are fair and products are quality. I won’t go anywhere else after dealing with poor quality from chain farm stores.

My favorite people at my favorite feed and seed store. They have everything I always need every time I need it. Bonus, everybody's so friendly & cheerful (even with this weather)!!!! I just have missed York Feed so badly....I am so very happy that they are still here, they're still a fantastic business with the greatest staff who actively listen to their customers needs. I am grateful to this incredible business for being a wonderful part of my life for all these years!

Fair pricing, always helpful. Will special order. Really good rabbit food. I like it better than the show hutch deluxe, it's called Bartlett's. They have good quality straw that my bunnies love too. And hay.They carry a good selection of wild bird food, feeders, etc., and unique gifts for people who love their yards.Great place for a fun quick shopping adventure.

We bought sugar snap peas seeds、radish seeds and bird food here. They don’t have a lot of varieties but what they have are always good. You cannot beat Local seeds and products. The prices are very reasonable. Big save

Stopped by for the first time today to get fertilizer for the garden, the staff were very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. My kids loved looking at the resident rabbit, my wife picked out some very nice goats milk soap, and I got exactly what I needed. Looking forward to coming back in the next couple days to let the kids look at the baby chicks!

Beware because these folks don't know the difference between hay and straw. I specifically asked for straw as I was using it to mulch my garden beds. Come to find out, I was sold hay, not straw. I now have hay grass growing all over my garden beds, creating an even bigger problem that I was trying to prevent. Unbelievable.

This place is great and the staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They helped carry the larger items out to my car for me, gave my kid a lollipop for being good, and then let her pet the resident bunny "Hop."I highly recommend checking this store for all your animal needs, including bird feeders and seeds for your neighborhood Cardinal.

Customer service was wonderful, helpful, and professional, but the bale of Timothy hay I purchased was in horrible condition and infested with gnats. My spouse picked it up and doesn’t know what he’s looking for, so I didn’t catch how bad it was until it was opened up and put into our bins.

My local go-to feed store. Nice selection of products, they stock locally made feed. Horses & cows down to chickens & bunnies. They'll order chicks for you, or stop hy in early spring for their available ones. My hens love their scratch, trully no waste as they eat it all. Friendly, helpful service.

Checked this store out because I was told they carry horse feed and other horse related products now. They carry a couple different brands of horse feed, bedding (shavings/pellets), and different types of hay. Their prices are okay. You can find cheaper and more expensive places so I would say they are in the middle.The staff was very friendly and actually wanted to help me. I plan to go back to purchase bedding and possibly the hay.
