Customer service walked out the door when this store was sold to the current owner.The clerk acted like I was lying when I said I was told by two different Ace Hardware store clerks (Hampton & Newport News) that buying paint samples got me a 5.00 off from purchase of each can.I did not bring the sample can in because I didn't think I had to.The manager was rude too. They left me waiting "for a call back" from the other store., so I left them with their paint, after waiting for five+ minutes at the register.My husband purchased our paint at the Newport News store, where they know how to act, and treat people with respect. The Grafton Ace Hardware store had only one decent person in it, the guy mixing the paint.I will never step foot in the Grafton Ace Hardware again. They lost a 200.00 sale today, and many hundreds more since we are doing a full kitchen remodel.

I needed a moen valve cartridge #1222. They didn't have one, so they sold me their brand. Well, guess what their brand doesn't work. It drips non-stop. There was a lady in the paint department helping me. She put an o ring on it. She left with the valve and disappeared. Another person wanted to sell me the valve that is missing a o ring. So I didn't have a choice. I got it. Well, it didn't work.The guy that was helping me. He put the valve stem down and disappeared. Shame. Incomplete help. As soon as the moen valve arrives, I'll be returning back for a redund.

Friendly service with the items you need. I needed a gasket for my tub. Went to Home Depot first but they didn’t have it. I was greated and someone identified the gasket and recommended I buy two. Quick in and out. Gasket worked and shower is back on line.

Awesome community hardware store with great service. They always have plenty of staff if you need help. My go to place for hardware. You pay a little more, but it is well worth it.

It's like they have almost everything. They seem to be getting a lot of more name brand stuff in there as well. Very clean, organized and the people are wonderful

Went and got keys made. Had to make multiple trips to the store since said keys did not work. The only one who was apologetic was the manager and the two workers were not. Almost annoyed they had to recut keys

Staff was helpful and attentive. I had a bolt and was looking for a washer. They were quick to assist me, even though I was looking like a wal-mart shopper. Knowledgeable and friendly, the helped me get the part I needed and on my way :)

Stihl dealer who really shouldn't be. Seems to both them to deal with that product, questions, issues.I am editing my earlier review since the customer service and product has gotten worse. My Stihl Blower which is less than 1 yr old is back at this Ace Hardware Grafton, 3rd time. Manager is rude and telling me 2 different things about warranty. I have contacted Ace Corporate Customer Service, Stihl Customer Service and just emailed owner of this hardware store. This store is about 1/3 of a mile from my home but I'll drive to Lowes from now on.

It is End of day, April 7-2023. I do not have my purchased items delivered to my door, assembled, as this mornings E-Mail from ACE, Grafton, VA, stated was going to occur today. So I called Grafton ACE and they have no knowledge of any of this, though I have an order confirmation and stated e-mail from them. Now I am screwed because my weekend project is held up. ACE Grafton response is "Call Back tomorrow and ask for the manager"--Does not help. Last week, Home Depot made a delivery to me and even added a last second item I needed onto the truck as it was leaving the store. An example of competence versus incompetence.

Super convenient and small. I’m am happy they replaced Tru Value and are open in the weekends and after 5pm. All the staff are super friendly and very helpful. As a woman going into hardware stores I am often overlooked or asked if they can help my husband find anything. Not Ace. They treat everyone equally. I have shopped for lawnmowers, power tools, paint and just about everything and they always help and never talk down to me. I will always go to Ace before any BIG BOX store any day.

I love Grafton Ace Hardware. My husband and I shop there at least once a week for everything from birdseed to nuts and bolts. I especially love the selection of seasonal flags. The employees are very helpful in helping you locate whatever we might need. They also offer a military discount to all active duty and veterans.

Shopped at home before leaving to buy my item. Found what I needed online and checked local inventory. Tried to pickup locally at this store. Came in to less than helpful staff that left me standing around waiting for help that never arrived. Employees couldn’t be bothered to help look for my item. Or even offer any real assistance. Guess another sale goes to Amazon.
