First time here! Stopped in for a quick lunch and craft beer and everything was perfect. Our beer guides, Jessica and Emily, were welcoming, friendly and very knowledgeable about their brews. Live music out back and being able to get a little sun was a real treat!

This is a great brewery! The beer is awesome, the food is wonderful, the property is great, and the service is top notch! I love hanging out by the river. There is always live music, fire pits for cold days, and plenty of activities for kids!

Loved the atmosphere and plenty of space. Good amount of parking. They had a food truck that was pretty good but definitely took some time for the food to be ready. For the Brewing Tree Scratch Kitchen, we ordered the 'MFT' Italian Hoagie and the pumpkin whoopie pie. The Hoagie was good but a little spicy and the whoopie pie had a great flavor. Our friends ordered the Maple-Honey Butter Sweet Potato Fries and those were absolutely delicious, definitely recommend! For our drinks, I ordered the Apple Lager which was pretty tart but good overall. My friend got the Pina Colada slushie which was mainly just coconut. They had little buckets of candy to for Halloween.Overall a cute spot and great atmosphere.

Wonderful brewery nestled in a serene Blue Ridge Mountain valley. The brewery has ample indoor and porch seating, but the best seating by far is their upper patio and lower patio seating areas.Flanked on one side by the sound stage, the upper patio provides a backdrop of the mountains rising from the valley. With a corn hole area and picnic table seating, the lower patio, know as The Meadow, provides seating adjacent the North Fork creek, a slow moving creek perfect to let the dogs and kids explore.A perfect place for families, the upper rear patio also has a sand pit for play.As varied and pristine as the scenery and vista, their primary and rotating beer selections are perfect for any weather and mood.At their core, the Weiss and Pilsner are satisfyingly refreshing. Their rotating blood orange is the perfect sweet bitter balance, very refreshing.Easily accessible from Wintergreen Resort.Check hours of operation.Worth a visit.

We stopped there after backpacking in Shenandoah National Park and couldn’t have hoped for a better pit stop. The beer was great and the food delicious - had the burger and demolished it. The atmosphere is magical and they have a second bar by the river. Highly recommend!

The space was clean and open. The decor was warm and modern. There is a large outdoor area with plenty of seating and a couple of fire pits. The creek adds nice ambiance in the lower level outdoor space. The beer is good and varied. The food truck is so good. The indoor space is a little small, larger groups (10+) would take over the space pretty easily.

This would be an easy 5-star review except for 2 reasons: (1) no stout beers or not even any dark beers at all just one Irish Red ale, (2l no outside food allowed. They do have a food truck or rather food trailer on site with some good selections but personally I like to be able to haul in a cooler with some cheese, crackers, etc. myself. They do sell flights, so we had two flights of 4 and so sampled most everything they had on tap except for a couple of IPAs. They did have a pear, peach, and blood orange Shandy's that was excellent along with their other offerings. This microbrewery had some of the best outdoor areas I seen in this area. Including a separate bar down by the river with lots of tables, picnic tables, hammocks, etc. Anyway they're just off route 151 so it's hard to miss them.

We stopped here after a long hike and were not disappointed. The beer is good, the location is even better! They have amazing outdoor space and the best spot on 151 to sip a cold beer. The staff are friendly and even remembered us from our last visit! We will return, especially to try the scratch kitchen - have heard nothing but good about the food!

On 151, easy drive from 250 in Nelson. Large outdoor space includes trail, dining, and ample parking. Food truck provides great food. We had burgers, sweet potato fries, meatloaf sammie and chili bowl - all were happily full! Sweets and local kombucha are also available. Family friendly.

Place is full of surprises! Awesome food, live music, place for kids to play (gigantic sand box w toys), outdoor covered seating, indoor seating, access to the river, hammocks on the river, cornhole, secondary outdoor bar on the river, and....you know what I'm done writing. Im going back now, bye.

Beer was very good but the options outside really set this apart. You can sit on the deck protected from the sun and watch your kids play in the large sandbox with the provided toys. Or you can sit under the open sky nearby the main building. Or you can walk down to the river and sit in an Adirondack chair to watch the water go by while you enjoy your beer.

First time to visit today. Lovely building with really awesome tree themed decor. There are many areas for children to play. The gal who waited on us was friendly but didn't really expand on the types of beers, their flavors etc. Most of what was offered was pale stuff and one stout. Not much in between. The food truck offered amazing loaded nachos. I got a flight. I wasn't too impressed with the beers and didn't finish two offerings. Pretty place but the beer isn't my thing.

My husband and I stopped here today for lunch, just traveling through. A happy accident! We got a flight, after asking to taste several beers. The lady was very patient and gracious. We ordered food from the Scratch Kitchen food truck. We sat on the porch on this beautiful day! Overall, a great experience!

When considering a trip to the mega church of breweries nearby, I suggest that you find some backbone and reorient to this local brewery. I had a crisp summer wheat beer on a Sunday afternoon. They have excellent beer but more importantly they have a solid character to the business. The food truck appeared to be managed by one spouse, and the brewery by the other. Excellent food on site, including bacon wrapped figs. My newly acquired labrador got her first collar as a gift. Good music outdoors, good food and beer indoors. Drop by.

Great spot to visit if in the Afton area. Very family friendly with huge sandbox area with toys for kids and huge meadow along the river for play as well. Food truck provides quality food and many beers and many styles of drinks to choose from there as well. Live music often too makes for a fun visit.

This is a great place. We stopped randomly because we were driving and saw that the parking was almost full. A lot of space in the nature. Good food from the food truck in front of the brewery. Beer is delicious and not expensive. My favorite one was twice as Weiss. We could see groups enjoying family time because there are plenty of activities for children. A band was playing guitar. Sky was blue, it helps but it was an amazing place. Definitely worth the stop!!

Grabbed a hard seltzer slushie (yum!!!) Then headed out to explore. The guy said that he had 8 acres and boy were we surprised to find a whole lot of fun. If you go down the hill out back there is a huge field by the water which is awesome. Hammocks, what looked to be axe throwing stalls, fire pits. They had it all. It looks like it would be an awesome place in the summer!

Great place to grab and beer and chill. Nice area down by the creek behind the building to relax, play corn hole or connect four. Have music from time to time and frozen drinks as well. Scratch kitchen on site with a few options to eat.

Really good beers and an amazing location. Go past the barn, down the backside trail, and down to the running creek. They have loads of games and chairs and picnic benches to camp out on.

Lots of parking, pretty views, lots of seating inside and outside. They have a good truck outside ( we were told it was a 30 minute wait for food after 15 minutes in line) the drinks were mediocre unfortunately. But there was a nice atmosphere.

Good spot for a drink and being outside! Nice looking place. Plenty of space for you and guests. Tables, fire pits, outdoor stage, and river access with more places to hang out. Dog friendly! What's not to like? Check your tab. I got charged for two extra beers, and the price to quality/quantity is meh / it will do. Good amount of parking. Besides my two marks, it is a great place to have a beer and chill with your friends and family.

Top notch. There are a lot of great breweries in the area , this one is very country, homey, beautiful area, lots for the kids and every beer I tried was top notch. We visit West Virginia a few times a year and every time we go up we stop at different breweries along the way and my kids said this is their favorite.
