As a local I've eaten many meals and sampled all the beer. The food is always on point and the beer selection has something for everyone. I'm very partial to the Dark Hollow (10%abv 70ibu. It's an imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels, hints of chocolate, vanilla and bourbon bring this beer to the top of my list. Only topped by the Snow Day seasonal beer which is very similar, lower ibu and maybe more of a hot cocoa flavor. I've tried every pizza, each is unique equally delicious. I can't recommend BMB enough.

February 26, 2024 - Virginia friends introduced us to this brewery years ago, now we’re moving to VA. . . Great place for quality craft beers while people watching !The highlights include:*10 beer beers on tap ! (Get the Flight)*Good Pizza (Gluten free also) 🍕*Big selection of Appetizers*8 choices of Burgers*5 choices of Sandwiches*Kids menu with Mac & Cheese, etc.*Outside games, fire pits, music*Host events, parties, small weddings*On the Beer TrailOn this specific trip, my wife and I stopped for quick dinner. I had the wings, with sweet chili dipping sauce. Seemed over cooked, heavy on the coating. My wife ordered the Nachos , we shared , very generous portion. The cheese used by BMB, seemed “processed” and lacked flavor? Maybe an off night .The beers were FANTASTIC! I ordered the FLIGHT, with 10 samples of 2.5 oz each beer! That’s the reason to come back 😃👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼It’s a great venue, especially with friends on a nice spring & summer day in Virginia’s rural Nelson County ❤️🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺( watch the kids play) 😃Kid-friendliness: Big outdoor “park-like” area for families with kids! Once again, another great meal at Blue Mountain Brewery! It is a great place to hang out with friends and grab a beer and food. One of my favorite things is that it's dog friendly! Staff has always been great. (I have been 4 times.) The beer is great, and so is the food. The price to portion size is on point. If you're in the neighborhood, stop by and grab something tasty!

I’m a frequent visitor with my family and we all love the burgers. So tasty and delicious! My favorite part of blue mountain brewery is the atmosphere. Sitting outside, listening to a local band play, while drinking the dark hollow beer. Can’t be beat! One of the best breweries in town. During a weekday it’s a hidden gem for lunch and dinner. Plenty of seating inside for cold days and plenty of seating outside for sunny days! Go! No wait… run there! Bring the family, as it’s super family friendly with the large grass area outside.Kid-friendliness: Your kids can run around all they want outside on the grass. Play Corn-hole, listen to the band playing.

Such delicious food! We stopped here randomly while on a trip and I’m glad we did. The place is beautiful with a very big outdoor patio section and a massive indoor section too. The service was great, very friendly hosts and servers. The food was the best part! We had a burger, sandwich and some nachos. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Highly recommend stopping by!

Well just left here and have been to several breweries this weekend and if we had found this first may have been the only brewery we visited. Not only was the atmosphere the best but our waiter Rett was superb. The beers there by far the best of all the breweries we visited. The scenery was helpful but every single thing was excellent. Only had the pretzel because we had reservations at a steakhouse later. But food looked excellent and plan is to end our mini vacation here before we head home and sample their fare. Visit here and you will be very happy you did. Outstanding

I had the pleasure of visiting BMB after an amazing hike. This was my first visit and I truly enjoyed it. My waitress was very nice and checked in on me often. The food was good. I got the Elote burger and added Jalapeños, it was good but still needed a little something to spruce it up. I had the orange flavored IPA as a beverage and enjoyed it. I'd love to come visit when they have a band. Overall, this place is great!

The worst part about this brewery is the best the best part. The menu has so many great options it makes it very difficult to pick the best one. From the Jalapeno Popper Grilled Cheese, Hot Honey Pie, Double Date Burger, Wings, and especially beer selection. Dark Hollow barrel aged imperial stout is a winner with an ABV of 10% I'm not an IPA fan but the Stone Delicious IPA is for lack of a better word...Delicious. The service was fantastic, and food was served in record time. If you don't have a good time here YOU did something wrong.

We were visiting the area for the weekend, and we stopped in on a Friday for dinner here around 5:30. There was no wait, as they had many seating options available both indoors/outdoors. They also had live music from 5:30-8:00 that night. The atmosphere is gorgeous, there are a variety of local beers, and the food was really good, as well as reasonably priced. My only slightly negative comment would be the service; our server never smiled, was abrupt/abrasive, unfriendly, and seemed irritated to be working at all.

The view, the atmosphere and the food are all amazing. We enjoyed a strawberry cider that was one of a kind! My husband had the pulled pork and said it was a bit smoky for him but tasty. I had the pimiento burger by recommendation of our server and it was two thin Patties with cheddar. The wings we shared were the best part of the meal! Worth a visit for sure!

The star of this business is the pleasant outdoor seating, kid and dog friendly on pretty days, with a big view of the mountains. The beer and food are decent too. There is indoor seating but my main enjoyment is being outside. Watch for events like this earth day event with live music and donations of trees to plant based on selling special growlers. Update, they put in astroturf so you can't really walk your dog around the perimeter, and the garden area is fenced off although you can see a pretty path. So walk your dog in the parking area beforehand, and if you're dog won't be happy in the same spot for your visit I guess pick a different place to go. Maybe it's allowed to walk them on the turf but I didn't know and there were signs to not take your dog in other areas.

Looking for a beer with a view?Look no further than Blue Mountain Brewery!!Expansive indoor and outdoor seating areas are complete with fireplaces (indoor) and heaters and fans (outdoor) with unbeatable mountain views.The perfect venue to enjoy a beer, burger, and live music. There is plenty of green space for families with children to get the wiggles out.Generous food portions and an impressive 10 (2.5 oz each) beer flight. You can not go wrong ordering anything!Staff was friendly and accommodating, and service was efficient.Couldn't find one thing they could improve upon.We stopped here for a late lunch/early dinner on a whim after visiting a couple of wineries. We liked it so much we returned a second time during our week long stay.We're looking forward to returning in the summer for a live music experience and a flight or three!Parking: Small parking area adjacent to venue and additional parking behind.Kid-friendliness: Large green space in outdoor area. Plenty of room for kids to run and play.

Beautiful setting in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The beer was outstanding from lagers, sours and IPAs. All were tasty and excellent! I ordered the Creole Cuban Press with fries. The pork bbq was delicious with a hint of smoke and the added vinegar from the pickle enhanced the flavor. The fries were hot and crispy cooked to perfection. Will definitely return to try more beer and menu items.

Large indoor and out door dining with heated open air spaces and live music it doesn’t get much better. Awesome food and great beers make this the perfect stop for that after hike at Shenandoah national park. Large parties be warned this popular spot gets busy so be ready to listen to some music or grab some beers while you wait.

Beautiful brewery in the mountains.They've expanded since the last time we were there. Way more outdoor seating, perfect for a beautiful summer day.I enjoyed Raspberries on Acid and my wife a seltzer. For lunch, a Creole Cuban Press for me and a Greek Grilled Cheese for her.Our server was top notch, capping off a very enjoyable lunch.
