The really nice veterinary hospital. My dog and I were well treated. They listen to all my concerns and we're very gentle with my Chihuahua. I really like the waiting room. It smelled great, looked great, and had two beautiful big carpets. The place was so clean. The staff was really nice. I was very impressed.

Dr.Hoss and her staff were wonderful. Everyone was so friendly and they were great with my precious baby Marley. They answered all the questions I had and explained all options to me. Highly recommended.

The staff is very nice, but the fees is ridiculous. My cat Suki has had complications since we adopted her. I woke up today with her left eye swollen so we called to see if they would be able to see her and an estimated cost. It’s $100 just to look at her, not including medication cost! That’s also not including the additional fee we had to pay for her first visit! We will bite the bullet on the cost today but will definitely look for a new vet soon!

They turned me and my baby away when it was a emergency! I called two hours before closing and told them I needed help . My poor baby was throwing up constantly and passing blood from his bottom every couple mins. But they told me they can't help me! I ended up having to rush him to the airport emergency vet. He had HGE.! He spent the night in the hospital and is doing much better now! After a $1100 vet bill. Because I had to use the emergency vet.

You would have a very hard time finding a more kind, considerate and professional veterinarian than Drs. Graham and Lewis. We first visited VCA because our dog had a medical emergency and our regular vet in Marion refused to see him. That day was a blessing in disguise. A few short weeks later we were back because of an unusual lump in our boy's neck that turned our to be inoperable Lymphoma. Dr. Graham spent all the time we needed to explain the disease and what our options were. Sadly, we caught the disease too late and when it came time for our boy to pass Dr. Lewis showed him the kindness and compassion that anyone would want for a much loved family member. My respect and gratitude to these two vets is beyond words. If we ever have another 4 legged family member (and I hope we do) VCA in Abingdon is the only clinic I would ever consider going to.

After an abysmal experience at animal medical clinic on state street I came here to get actually good treatment for my dog who couldn't breathe. After having an x-ray done we found out his heart was too big and that he didn't have long left. We decided that it was best to have him put down. They treated my baby like he was their own dog. They actually cried with me as the procedure was done. They took care of everything in the most professional manner and then the most friendly an explanatory way. It's a 3 step process that they explain so that you understand that it's very peaceful for your baby. They make sure that you're comfortable the whole way. Other companies just give one shot and done but here at VCA they even go as far as to give your little guy a whipped cream and chocolate chips sundae before his final moments. After it is done take care of putting him in a coffin and then they take him out to you and load the car for you so that you can take him to where he'll be laid to rest. They treat you like a real human being and care and listen. I'm extremely impressed with everything about this place and I will be returning and I can recommend it to anyone reading this review. Don't think twice.

Dr Haderer, Amy and the awesome staff at VCA Highlands Animal Hospital did everything possible to help us in such a stressful time. Our cat Ash swallowed a string and needed emergency surgery to save her life! From the moment we got there I knew she was in good hands! We are so grateful for all you guys did for us and for Ash! The staff checking us in was nice. We agreed to a parvo test which my pet was positive for. 400.00 dollars later we were sent home. My furbaby died hours later. They knew how sick he was and sent him home to suffer. What we seen I hope no one ever has to see.

Our Jude was laid to rest yesterday, November 9, 2020. He was in a state of decline and when we couldn't get our previous Vet to return our phone calls we made the move to VCA. Dr. Hahn worked with our Jude all day but unfortunately, he was not able to pull through. She didn't give up until there were no other options but to let him go to sleep. With devastated hearts, we spent the final minutes with him then Dr. Hahn came in and sat in the floor with us until he was gone. THANK YOU DR. HAHN!!! We appreciate your effort to save our fury baby. I have attached a few photos so you can see him in his glory before he got sick. He was a real looker and such a good boy right up to the end!!! Run free Jude...we love you!

Dr Elizabeth Lewis-Graham is amazing. She's always the best with my Molly who is in her senior years. She was very kind and caring with our family in the decision and passing of my precious boy Stonewall. This place is EXTREMELY over priced!!!!! The staff is nice however no wonder people just toss animals around here. It’s impossible to be able to afford to take care of them with prices this high. I found a pregnant cat and took her in just to get checked and the vet visit was $300 for a simple check, and a feline leukemia test. I need the mom cat fixed now asap and they charge $625 for it which is the absolute most insane price I’ve ever heard of. Part of the reason the stray cat problem is so large in this area is because of vets like this who don’t have affordable pricing it’s a sad, sad world when money is more important than the care of the animals.

My dog is pregnant and not doing well. I called and they got her in very quickly. Upon arriving, I started filling out the very short paper work and my baby started bleeding very heavily. They took her back immediately to check her. Everyone was so very friendly and caring. I was very happy with the drs care and plan of action. The cost of the visit was very reasonable also. Overall I'm very happy with our first encounter here. I would like to make this our permanent vet.

Do not bring your puppy here if you’re a first time pet owner. They were nice and had good customer service but I was pressured into restarting my puppy with her three sets of vaccines when she had already had the first two and only needed one more. Without even telling me the price they gave her the first vaccine and then after the fact, when I asked how mush it would be, I realized it would be almost 300 dollars. What if I didn’t have that kind of money on me? Thank goodness I did but still. The first other clinic I called told me that the first round of vaccines would be 25 dollars. Wow. If you are going to make your prices that expensive I think you should be more up front about them.

Wonderful! I've never been to a vets office where everyone was so nice! Every staff member I spoke with was happy to help, and was super informative! The office was super clean, and seemed well managed! The vet I seen was Dr. Hendley, He was great! I didn't feel rushed! He answered any question I had and was extremely thorough with my babies exam! Will definitely be returning! Also their prices are extremely reasonable and I felt like they weren't just after my money like my previous vets office was!

I worked in the veterinary field for about a decade years ago, part of that at an emergency facility. I have worked with many vets and staff. My first experience with VCA was a Sunday emergency. I had the great fortune to meet Dr. Dunnivant! Have never had a better experience with any Vet. Since then I have acquired two more kittens and have had the best treatment from the front desk, the technicians, and Dr. Dunnivant! All are very professional, helpful, and truly caring and compassionate. I would very much like to commend Dr. Dunnivant and technician Shelby! I have never had better care for my animals or myself!! This facility DEFINITELY goes above and beyond!!

I found 2 baby kittens in my yard. They both had severe eye infections. They were treated by Dr. Gina Robinson. She was so kind and caring about their little eyes, and she took time to explain everything. I'm very grateful for the excellent care.

I’m not one to complain about veterinary care or the cost of it because I respect what they do wholeheartedlyHowever we brought in our 6 week old kitten with vomiting and yellowish white runny bowel movementsAnd they did literally nothing but take his vitals and temperature and send us homeThey charged 100 dollars just to take his vitals and temperatureWe ended up having to go to Blountville TN to the airport emergency clinic to get him the help he needed turns out he had a severe stomach infection that required shots antibiotics and specialty prescription foodThankfully they caught it but if we would’ve went with VCAS advice of doing nothing he would be dead by nowLike I said I don’t like complaining about veterinary care or it’s cost but if you care about the animal and are gonna charge 100 bucks for a basic office visit it should be a more careful thorough examination

I cannot say enough positive things about VCA Highlands Animal Hospital. My Labradoodle, Winston, sees Dr. Graham and my miniature Poodle, Frankie, sees Dr. Davenport and they both go above and beyond for their patients. They both give the best treatment and it’s very evident they truly care for their patients. I appreciate how wonderful they have been to my dogs and they are both so kind. I know my dogs are getting the best treatment when I take them to VCA Highlands.

They worked my puppy in on a weekend when she had an accident, a d no one else was available, and took great care of her. They were so friendly and helpful. They are a little expensive. Dr. Robinson is amazing, she follows up with calls, checking on your pet! Exceptional!
