Traveling home from a week in the Smoky Mountains my wife and I stopped in. I work at a John Deere dealership in western New York state setting up new equipment. I try to stop at dealerships when we travel to share experiences with people I meet. I also try and purchase a hat or something with the dealer name on it. I was greeted by 3 gentlemen and we struck up a conversation. I'm sorry but I can't recall their names but they were very friendly and we shared different customers needs and such with our different areas of the country. These men were very friendly and we had quite a time there. Thanks again for the time you guys spent with us.

I recently bought a 1025r from Mead. My salesperson was KJ. Daniel and James had a hand in everything I needed and questions I had. These guys are top notch! I had an issue with the bucket that came on my tractor and they went above and beyond to assist me and take care of a “small problem”. They have a lifetime customer as far as I’m concerned and I will most definitely recommend people to this store. Thanks again for everything!

Horrible place to have repairs done. Took my JD 445 mower there for head gasket replacement as I saw steam coming from the exhaust. They called me two weeks later and said one of the heads was cracked. I told them to put a new one on. Two-three weeks later I hadn't heard a word so I called and they said they couldn't fix it and to come and get my mower. I was told by the service manager (Rodney) that anti-freeze had slicked the cylinder wall on one side and there was no compression on that cylinder and the engine would have to be replaced. When I got the mower home and drained the oil from the engine, it was a pure white oil and antifreeze mixture. What a mess. Also, the engine and all wiring connectors were soaked with oil and antifreeze. I flushed the engine with kerosene and cleaned all the wiring connections. I took the mower to a friend that knows what he is doing and he immediately took the intake manifold off the engine and saw that the manifold gasket had been installed backward at Meade Tractor when the head was replaced. (See photo) This allowed the antifreeze and oil to mix freely. Also when they removed the old gasket, they had ground the end of the manifold and dished the center rib so that it couldn't seal properly. I had to replace the manifold with a new one. We then checked the compression and sure enough there was zero compression on the side where the new head was installed. He then removed the valve cover and discovered that the valves in the new head had not been adjusted even close. The gap was .010-.015 on both valves. He adjusted these with a feeler gauge to the correct setting and checked the compression. Yep, it was 165 pounds just like it should be. Meade Tractor had not even adjusted the valves! We put new oil and antifreeze in and fired it up. It runs great I mowed the lawn with it. You can bet that I will never take anything back to Meade Tractor for repair. Beware!!!

This store carries about everything you could need for a John Deere. What they don't have they can order. If you own a Deere, you probably already know that you should be prepared to pay a high price for purchase or maintenance.

Parts department is great to work with. Ordered a backhoe attachment 5 months ago. Only part of it showed up from the factory this past Monday. They are trying to find out what happened. Waiting for John Deere to get back to Meade on what needs to be done. This sucks!

Too busy to deal with you after the sale.Had service work under warranty on the X500. Waited on the shop for over a month for a 10 minute fix. And it is still not fixed!Parts phones are not monitored or they have other things to do. Thank goodness for on-line replacement parts. My next tractor will not be Green!

Listen every time I come in to get parts for my tractor, always a 50/50 chance I get the laziest employee. Brought in a broken Hydraulic fitting in and the Lady that attended me wanted to know the model of my tractor to find it, I did not have that info on me at the time so I asked if they can match it up. They have done this for me many times in the past, MANY! But instead I got an irritated comment saying it would take too much time. Then proceed to tell me to go somewhere else for help. Manager or owner needs to pay a close eye to who they employ and how they perform.

The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I went in already knowing what I wanted, but they were still able to offer useful advice. They were rather courteous and attentive. I wish the hours on Saturday were a little longer, however, I understand that everyone needs time off to be with family.

Never have I had such a bad attempted buying experience. Called multiple times and all salesmen were always on the phone. They will not call you back, after they tell you they will do so. Tried to contact 2 different salesmen with no luck. (You know who are) Ended up ordering directly from a manufacturer and skipping the dealer. Also ended up getting a better deal and not having to drive the hour to get it from Meade. How can any farmers get anything accomplished when they cannot purchase equipment? Luckily when I purchased a $90k tractor a few years ago it was through James River Equipment. Wouldn’t buy a hat from this place.

I bought a 5065 E from Meade Tractor package Deal. For my farm in Abingdon Virginia. It’s a great Tractor just right for what I want to do. The Salesman there Daniel Smithers was great. He has been to my farm four times to show me different things on the tractor the last time he came out he brought Rodney Dye the service Manager is fix the linkage on the PTO. They are great people nothing but good things to say about them.

If you enjoy top of the line products and are able to afford them john Deere and Stihl are a great combination. I've owned a jd 425 zero turn mower for 11yrs now and it doesn't disappoint. Plus I have a Stihl farm boss chainsaw and a fs74 weed eater that I've had excellent service out of for nearly 30 years. Agreed they don't make things like they used to. Last year I retired my old and nearly worn out equipment with new weed eater and two new chainsaws from Meade. One of the saws was a lemon, but after getting connected with corporate they made things right and replaced it free of charge. It's true that you get what you pay for.

My aunt who is an elderly widow sent her John Deere lawn tractor here because she could not get it started. After a week or so they called her to let her know that they hadn't completely checked it out yet, but so far it was going to be around $2500 to fix it. She asked them to bring it back to her. She shared this experience with 2 of her neighbors & after charging the battery & filling it up with gas, it works just fine. It has been used 4 times now to now a couple of yards. Taking advantage of someone is just not good business. She could've bought a whole new mower for that price. Which is probably what they were trying to do. Beware!!

Had a great experience at Meade Tractor. We went to buy a particular Styhl grass trimmer. They had the model I wanted in stock. I made my purchase and was out of there in 20 minutes. Very courteous salesman. I will be going back g for future purchases. Great place!

After working with Meade from Georgetown KY, I assumed Abingdon would share the same service satisfaction. I purchased a tractor from Abington site unseen and was told it was thoroughly gone over, serviced, and field ready. It just needed a detail. It arrives after a couple days and I put it straight to work. After I finished the day, decided to check the oil level. Coal black. So I changed it. Thought to check fuel filters. Pulled a half a cup of mud out of the fuel separator. Fuel filter looked original. Air filter completely dirty. AC didn’t work after I was told they fixed it. Makes me wonder the quality of work that WAS completed if any. Usually do not leave reviews, but after spending almost $30,000...? I feel duped.

This place was amazing. Accommodating to both my service dog me and my father. I loved they gave me a military discount as well as being so thankful to me that I mentioned I was in military service. The building is so we'll set-up and clean and the driveway is awesome with the parking lot is awesome.

We have owned a John Deer X320 for 12 years and simply love it. Decided to get a new X380. We had visited some other places, but the staff here were so kind and helpful. Took weedeater to be checked. Started it up said nothing wrong . Wasn't interested in addressing the problem at all. Still a charge of 22.00 dollars. Must charge for every time they pulled it to start it. To bad there isn't a 0 star rating.

If you want poor customer service Meade Tractor is the place to go. I gave $16k for an X758 plus attachments. It has 216 hours on it now. I’ve tried repeatedly to get service work done on the tractor over 11 times in 4 months. Same run around ever time , the shop is full or we can’t get to it yet. Love my tractor but utterly despise the poor service from Meade. Absolutely wouldn’t recommend them for anything.

If I could give them zero stars that is what I would give them. Customer service after the sale is nonexistent. They gave me used accessory parts with a new 570 mower. Parts that were part of the sale. When I contacted them they could have cared less. I’ll never buy or give my business to them again.BUYER BEWARE!!

Terrible service. Over 3 weeks waiting on service for my mower. Check oil sharpen blade fix flat over 200 dollars. I was told it was done then no its not done. I told girl on phone take my number. She said ive took numbers all day. They were suppose to deliver. Then i gota call to pic it up when it was suppose to be delivered

Bought a x390, good mower. Like the power steering. Had to wait two weeks on delivery and still didnt come with the brush guard, had to go get it and install myself. No hat, no sorry, no nothing.Nope still no hat
