This is my local wine shop and one of my favorite small businesses in the area. The employees are incredibly kind and knowledgeable. They will work with you to find a wine that you might like or matches with what you are trying to eat with the wine. They also have some of the best cheeses and even some baked goods.

Fantastic selection of wine and beer!But even more importantly, the staff was over the top accommodating. We were riding the Virginia Creeper Trail, and had a 2 1/2 hour ride back to Damascus, and they problem solved with us on the way to keep the wine and beer that we purchased cold for a return trip. And it worked! Many thanks!

I visited this place while I was staying in Abingdon this past week. This place is amazing. The girl working the shop both days was very thoughtful and helpful. She recommended the Yalumba Muscat, which was a very good recommendation and helped me pick out some jelly for a gift to some friends. She gift wrapped both my purchases and did an exceptional job. I also recommend the Moonlight Moon cheese from the cheese case in the back.

This has been a must-stop place for me for years when visiting Abingdon! The owner is always there & is quite friendly albeit typically a little flustered. They have an amazing selection of wine plus a little basement room with various beers. They also have a terrific selection of imported cheeses & lunch meat as well as wonderful jellies & spreads. I would definitely recommend anyone exploring Abingdon stop in & check it out!

Visited today and instantly fell in love with this place. Great staff very kind and courteous. Descent selection of wines across the world with prices that won't make you feel like you need to wait for a big occasion in the future to crack open the wine you bought. Excellent work with the decor. Keep up the great work and I do plan to visit next time.

Katwas so generous to us today. We hadn’t eaten lunch and nothing was open. She served us a perfect pimento cheese sandwich and a delicious taste of a white Rioja. I didn't personally find anything I needed in this small food sundry/wine shop, but I can imagine many finding gourmet items for a nice gift basket. With a shop like this, the staff needs to strike up conversations with shoppers and make mechandise recommendations.

Jaybird's wine is located in the historical downtown Abingdon just down from the tavern restaurant. Both placed are a must visit. Good wine selection and helpful staff.
