The bakery/deli here is a very nasty place. I have over heard too many disgusting conversations and I won't be returning after my last experience. The people that work here discuss way too many personal details about their intimate lives and it is just gross. The manager doesn't seem to care or he would do something about it. On top of that the selection is not very good and the prices aren't great either. Before I used to stop here if I needed a quick item that any store would have (like coke cola or flour, simple stuff) but not anymore. I would not advise that you bring any children into the store due to the risk that they could hear something that even an adult would rather not know. Avoid!

Well stocked, clean and bright. Lots of variety/choices. They have a hot food bar with delicious options for a take home meal. Staff friendly and helpful!!! BEST OF ALL...NO SELF CHECKOUTS! Great hours; open 7AM until 11PM. Love to shop here!

Food Lion is my favorite store. I shop there more than any other store. I like their promotions of spending so much on certain departments & getting so much off on your next trip.

Good manager specials on meat. Most staff are friendly. Produce seems to go bad quickly, sometimes good selection of produce but other times not so much. Worth having a Food Lion card to take advantage of the sales, otherwise a little pricey. I prefer Food City, but this Food Lion is convenient and has most staples.

Love food lion. Would give 5, but I feel that they must've been part of the leasers that got one of my favorite places ran off. They lost their spot because of complaints. Since this is the biggest business at the location I'm sure they either own it, or at least have a huge influence. I don't like anyone getting profiled, or looked down upon. I happen to know said business offers a professional, strict, legitimate,and necessary line of products. It's 2022 let's move forward. Leave the old ways" that we now know was learnt from propaganda" to the horrible people that pushed it on the public. Enough ranting and raving. Whoever voted, complained, or whatever are ignorant to the actual effects, and health benefits of these products. Doesn't mean there's anything wrong with them!

Strangest Food Lion I've ever been in! Didn't see a "soda" aisle. Only saw 2 pallets with sale prices for sodas. I wanted a specific Ginger Ale that I can only find @ Food Lion. I read signs above aisles & none had sodas. I.e. Pepsi. Coke, etc

Its a food store. It has food. However I will mention that the lighting in this, and every Food Lion that I have been to, was really nice. I like that the lights are dimmer than in somewhere like Wal Mart or Target. It makes me feel more relaxed while shopping there.

Love this store when I'm in town visiting my daughter and three grandsons. Today I was checking out with the youngest who is one and I bought him some penguin. Crackers, while checking out the cashier noticed a small hole in the bag on the bottom. Great service! Thank you so much!!

I love all Food Lion stores. Reasonable prices, not overly crowded and friendly employees. Although, Food Lion in Gate City has a man that cleans the floors who'd rather run you over with his huge floor cleaner than let you get out of his way. He's a jerk.

It was very clean and good selection of produce. Wasn't much meat to choose from but good selection of ice cream. It was the hottest food lion I've been in as far as temperature don't see how the cashiers survive. It was terrible maybe they should put sum tint or something on the front Windows. No wonder they can't keep employees. Nice people nice store but too HOT in there to shop

When I moved I made this my go to grocery store, mostly because it is so close to my house. I am pleased with the choice of products, savings I regularly get with my MVP card, and the store employees are very friendly. I would recommend this store to anyone looking for a quality grocery store.

I would shop at this chain store only as a last resort. If you don't have a loyalty card, prepare to get ripped off. The worst store of all is the store in Rocky Mount, Virginia. I hope that place is closed down by now.
