Honestly it’s ridiculous. This is the third time this week they have closed “due to illness” have you ever went to DG needing one single ingredient for dinner and purified water for your 10 month old son to have two elderly ladies locked inside to come out lock the door behind them, neither one of the women who worked there mentioned they were closing to then watch me walk away and continue to laugh as I walk away. As I stated before this is just ridiculous. 825 E Main St Abingdon VA location. I am just outraged by the behavior of these women it honestly makes me think they are just closing the store because it’s “slow” or they don’t wanna be there. I understand disliking your job or just becoming bored or the everyday humdrum but come on. Also I should mention I have no transportation to get to another store because my vehicle is broke down and the transit doesn’t run this late at night so I wish I could give you no stars!

This is my favorite DG in my area and we have a few. Managers are so nice and all employees are as well. Good place to do your shopping. Clean aisles & stocked great.

Store never has price on shelf in the register purchased 3pepsi at2.20 each 2mtdews for 2for2.50 rang up2.30 each on all took 2.10off still makes them ripping me of .30 and Barbara was hateful the me saying I need to stop have additude because she can't do simple math please boycott this store

Lazy,Rude,Incompetent staff avoid this place like the plaque.Especially the one with the initials s.c.if someone has a coupon she has no idea what to do. She needs to move on.

Very friendly staff with lots of great items to choose from. They have some basic grocery needs to children's toys. From baby wipes to seasonal and birthday gift bags. Really nice things for less.

It doesn't have the greatest selection. I mean it's a small store in a small town. But the people who work there are so nice and helpful and they always treat you like a friend. And remember anyone who reads this be nice back lets make the world a better place.

Almost everything Almost ALL the time is NOT as advertised.Whether it be on sale on the app or in the weekly ad this is THE WORST Dollar General you could possibly visit. It's only existed because there isn't a better alternative close by. Sales items are never on the shelves - even as soon as the ad comes out they have nothing advertised or even do the employees know what is supposed to be on sale. You have to argue, prove the ad,and get an override by the manager. You WILL NOT,I guarantee, be in and out of here for a quick and convenient, much less pleasurable shopping experience

When I went into the store today. I couldn't believe my ears I don't know what the situation was, but there was absolutely no reason for the way that I heard an employee talking to a customer., absolutely no excuse if that's the way they talk to their customers, and apparently it is I can find some other dollar store to shop. I will never come back here again absolutely no excuse for it. If she was my employee she would be fired

The one thing that all dollar general stores attempt to get right or familiarity this intern a.k.a. making you comfortable makes you spend more money on things you could get at Walmart however their marketing strategy is flat brilliant I root for the underdog go to the DG

The Clintwood store is now, thankfully, under new management. Already seeing improvement on cleanliness and stocking. The employees are actually working instead of outside smoking or on their phones.

The lady was so rude to us it was 15 minutes before the store closed and she kept on telli g us we had to get out of the store there was another couple in there and nothing was said to them. Very rude and hateful
