Great little independent bookshop in the heart of the beautiful town of Woodstock, VT. There are a well curated selection of books with something everyone can enjoy, including a section of local history and other non-fiction books, an adorable and fantastic selection of kids & young adult books, and a lovely range of romance books.The employees were all helpful and kind, and the store is dog friendly which was a bonus (as we brought our pup on our trip).There are also greeting cards, stickers, candles, and other non-book bookish accessories. Overall, fantastic little store - highly recommend for anyone visiting the area.

Great book store in the heart of Woodstock, there is a great collection of books and souvenirs.I found some great postcards from Vermont. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Lovely place.

Visited this bookstore twice in the past two months, and on both visits the staff made me feel unwelcomed. As I entered, I always greeted the staff with a "Hello." Both visits I got no response from either of the ladies behind the register. Both visits I purchased books. None of the ladies looked me in the eyes nor said anything, other than the total amounts. Both visits were cold and callous. Does the female staff hate men? Clearly, I am not welcomed at Yankee Bookshop. I prefer, and recommend, Norwich Bookstore. At least the staff there are friendly.

A wonderful bookshop with a great variety of books and tasteful ambience. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I usually struggle with finding a book I like but the ladies there listened to my needs and helped me find an amazing book. I will definitly visit again!

Solid selection, but I don’t think you can really claim to be an inclusive/queer-supporting bookshop while still having multiple entire full shelf displays of Harry Potter books, products and associated merchandise. Obviously it sucks and makes us all sad but JKR has been very clear that she equates the amount of money she makes from stuff like that to people agreeing with her opinions on trans people. I picked up a copy of Nona the Ninth regardless because I like to hope that this sort of thing is just because whoever is curating doesn’t know better.

Woodstock itself is a great town to visit. I go 3-10 times a year. But the one place I always make a point to stop in and shop from is Yankee Bookshop. A perfect little bookshop with a good selection of books. I can always easily find something I have to have. Yeah you can buy books online for convenience but we need bookshops like this for the experience.

Cozy bookshop that lets you wander around and read, and will order any book that’s in print! Happened upon here while visiting the town for something else, and am glad to have done so. Sadly, didn’t have the time to stay longer.They are kid friendly, too. My friends’ kids were reading quietly on the floor of the age appropriate section, and were not disturbed.

Visited the very busy bookshop and enjoyed my time there. The shop owners have done well with the space they have and made sure there are enough books from every genre to appeal to everyone. Those looking for Sci-Fi in particular will find the YA section has more shelf space but otherwise I managed to find two books to tide me over.I'd visit if I was ever again in the area.

Nice bookstore with a huge selection of books, souvenirs, maps, and games. Well organized with something for everyone. You can easily loose track of time combing through the shelves. Nice stop if you're looking for a good read.

Yankee Bookshop is what a traditional bookstore should be. Such a change of pace from the big box store paper mills. If you enjoy the ambiance of wood floors and floor to ceiling book cases, then this is a must stop.

Great store, nice people who own and work there. If they don't have it in stock they can get it for you. Make sure you feed the parking meters, the PD is quick to ticket you. But the store can validate your parking if need be...
