Quite the variety & quality! The great thing about this gift shop is the multitude of items + the knowledge the owners carry about them. Enticed to stop in when I saw an antique amethyst ring displayed in the window; I’m glad I did! The male business owner was occupied with a customer when I walked in but still greeted me. I started looking at the various jewelry collections to the back right of the shop and was stunned at the quality and uniqueness. My eye was immediately drawn to a type of jewelry I had never seen before. Once the shop owner was finished ringing out his customer, he immediately came over to me, kindly asked what I was looking for, and informed me that the jewelry I liked so much and hadn't seen before was 2,000 years old Roman glass that had been buried in The Holy Land. I was looking for a Cross, and he pointed out a few. I appreciated how knowledgeable he was about the jewelry they carried! I selected a beautiful piece and checked out. The female business owner was kind and gracious, too, while I was paying for my item. When I revisit Woodstock, this will be the one shop I make sure to stop by. I’d love to know if you can order online. I certainly would, but it would be a bummer not to have the informative convo on the items you select.

Me and my family stopped in here on a visit to Woodstock recently. We loved the vibe and all the neat varieties of goodies that drew our eyes everywhere! My kids all found something that enthralled them, including myself. The young store attendant with burgundy hair was so kind and knowledgeable about the toys and jewelry, and after speaking with her about her favorite local artists and pieces I just had to buy the pair moonstone earrings she pulled out for me 🌻 Lovely store in a lovely town, with caring and knowledgeable employees!

Amazing and fun gift shop with something for everyone from age 9 to 99. Unicorn has never failed me! Friendly knowledgeable owner and staff are on hand if you need an assist in finding a stand out item for that hard to buy for “someone who has everything” person. Sensational selection of cards, some by local artists, too. 🏆

I absolutely love this store! So many fun and different items, from cards to jewelry to magic tricks- there is something for EVERYONE here! The employees have been nothing but helpful and happy to show us new items, how magic tricks work, etc! We ALWAYS end up buying birthday and holiday gifts here!

The most delightful little gift shop! Truly unique items here, carefully curated. Fun for kids and grown ups alike. My unicorn obsessed daughter loved it and the Unicorn selection is great, along with games, jewelry and more. The couple who own the store are SO NICE. They remembered us from last year and were so sweet to my daughter and I on all three of our visits, over a year apart. Hands down the best shop in Woodstock!

It's nearly impossible to leave Unicorn without something interesting, useful, fun or all three! We've lived in the area several years and have learned to stop here first when searching for gifts, not only because of the cool stuff, but because the owner (Jeffrey) or one of his employees have given us the perfect gift idea(s) on more than one occasion. Love this store ! It’s full of tons of interesting things you would never need but want anyway. The owner is a national treasure. He knows about every item you look at or pick up and tells you every detail you could possibly want to know. I go there every time I’m in the area.

The owner took the time to show me knives (he has a rather nice selection of mid to high-end folding knives and he knows what he's talking about in regards to these blades) one by one, even though I told him I wasn't in the market for any, as we just stopped in to pass the time. He just happened to see me checking them out and could tell I was interested. Very nice man and shop...stop on by.

We walked into this store and had a very different experience than others. We were happy to see the instructions to use the provided hand sanitizer before entering the store. The women there were incredibly pleasant and helpful as we bounced back and forth throughout the store. The gentleman who owns the store came out from behind the counter to assist us as well. Had a pleasant time talking and shopping around here. Have no issues whatsoever with following the rules as they try to keep their store a safe place for people to shop. Watched over a dozen customers walk in without acknowledging the signage and had to be told by one of the staff. I appreciated this aspect very much!

Excellent store. One in a million. Like a unicorn… Jeffery takes a lot of time with his customers and goes out of his way to answer your questions. Heck he even gave me his cell phone number so I could call him personally- that speaks volumes about the buying experience. The customer service is top notch and their knives are amazing. They carry the best of the best. I highly recommend shopping here and if you can’t make it in, call them, they can ship too! Thank you Jeffery for taking care of this happy customer. Greatly appreciate it. I’ll be back!

Unicorn is my “go to” shop for the most unique and beautiful gifting experiences. The owner is so informative and kind when explaining how items work and who, what & where they were crafted. I always leave with something I feel excited to give as a gift that is clever, cutting edge, or incredibly well made and beautiful. They do their homework and fill this little shop with items that are sure to please even the hardest to buy for person. I love Unicorn and never come away disappointed.

very nice people! The owner was generous with his time when we first visited, while considering Woodstock as a home. We settled in a nearby town, where I moved my guitar making business, and are happy to visit the shop from time to time when in Woodstock. Jeffrey's friendliness was one example of the relaxed, kind-hearted nature of Vermonters that made us want to be here.

Instead of sitting behind the register, be on the sales floor and greet customers & remind them to sanitize their hands. Yelling across the room is rude. I run a successful business myself and I would be appalled if my associates treated my customers like this young girl did. Work on your training and maybe you wouldn’t be getting bad reviews.

The woman who works here is appallingly rude and on a power trip. I went into this store on vacation & she was so brass and rude it ruined my day. I would save yourself and your money from being affronted by this person. So many gorgeous shops and nice people.It looks like other reviewers have had the same experience. You would think something would be done about her behavior but guess not.

I loved the store and had a grand time with my daughter looking at greeting cards and seeing such fun items. When we enter the store there was a hand sanitizing station and I used it and nothing came out. I made a quick attempt to get to the back of the store to let the woman on duty know. She quickly and in an irate voice asked if I use the hand sanitizer. I responded that nothing was coming out of the hand sanitizer station and I was coming to let her know. She thanked me profusely and refilled the container. I felt a nervousness and found myself repeating that I tried to use the hand sanitizer. My defensiveness felt odd and I knew that it was because the employee was being rude to people as they came in. I figured that it was because of COVID-19. I went about my business enjoying myself. There was a photo-mobile and my head bumped into it and same store employee told me that my head hit it and I responded, “yes, I know. I was replacing the boxed mobile l’d taken off the shelf to examine.” This young lady was certainly overwrought and while it caused some tension, I focused on enjoying the items in the store. My daughter let me know if she was ready to go and I had to admit that I was too.The merchandise is what made the store five stars.

I visited this store on Friday, 8/7/20. I was shocked at the rudeness & disrespect from one of the employees. I couldn’t believe how she spoke to a customer. My heart was so sad to hear such a young employee speak harshly to a customer. She should be dismissed from her position. I did not get her name but she was standing on a ladder doing something with fixing some type of decorative item and raised her voice to a customer. I will not repeat her phrase, but the owner of this shop needs to provide customer service courses to the employees. I will not visit again in fear that she may speak to me that way. Shame on the employee! Young and very disrespectful.

Came in with a mask on, was told to put hand sanitizer on as soon as I arrived-no hello, how are you. Put hand sanitizer on and walked to card area. Was then told I needed to rub my hands together better before touching cards. Was turned off by this, and the employee’s tone, but did what she said and continued to look at cards. She then remarked to another employee that, “It’s like telling people to put on pants,” loud enough for me to hear-which was what she wanted. At that point, I walked calmly and quietly out and was totally put off by this woman’s power trip. Reading other reviews, it seems the rude tone wasn’t just an off day. Wouldn’t recommend Woodstock in general during covid, there’s a very weird and arrogant vibe here right now.

We used to look forward to visiting this place every summer when we came to Vermont. We usually spend a lot of money getting Christmas and birthday gifts for our family and friends. We went there today and the older woman who works at the store was very nasty to us. We asked her for help but by the time she got over to us we figured it out and she got irate and walked away. Very nasty. I put my things back and left the store.

Great little funky store to stop there if you’re ever bored in town and want something a little bit different to do. Many different little items and fun toys to mess with. Staff is super nice and helps with everything. I can never leave without buying one thing. A little bit pricey but it’s worth it for the experience.

Was nearly nailed to a stake! I was sanitizing my hands but had forgotten to pull my mask up. A customer YELLED to the woman behind the counter, “THAT WOMAN HAS NO MASK!” I immediately felt so bad for the poor woman who had no mask, when I realized it was me! As I was panicking, apologizing and pulling my mask up as quickly as I could, the woman behind the counter pointed and yelled at me, “IM SORRY BUT YOU NEED A MASK- actually, IM NOT SORRY! YOU NEED A MASK!” I am still stunned at the rude way this was handled- I’m 62 and it’s been a long time since I’ve been publicly humiliated-Toddroast@gmail.com
