I love this store! I was greeted so nicely with the friendly staff. They helped me pick a nice men's flannel shirt for me and explain the difference between the fitted and the regular size. We went back the next day and got another one. The quality of these Organic Cotton and made is USA is unmatched. The sales lady name Donna is super friendly and helpful. She was the other reason why we went back to the same store again the next day.

This store is a great idea and they do have very soft comfortable flannel. I got my boyfriend sweatpants but the strings are not regular, it is just one long string that you can’t tie without it being permanently tied. Now, slowly, the sweatpants have been ripping where the string is. It’s really unfortunate because they are not super affordable so I was kind of expecting more.

I ordered a number of items for Christmas. They sent me the wrong items, I called to see if I could get the correct item sent as it was a gift for my daughter - never got a call back. I submitted a return with message as per the instructions on the invoice, a week has passed and I still haven't gotten a e-mail back with instructions to return items.I would expect that for the premium price you pay the customer service would be better. Disappointed and will never shop there again.

Review for their mail order operation: I found it to be very difficult to communicate with them and like pulling teeth to get responses and information.I ordered a flannel shirt to be shipped. They used USPS, who mishandled/misdelivered/lost or stole my package. I contacted Vermont Flannel Co to ask what my next steps were, and it took 2 emails over 3 days to get a response. They asked me to do all the legwork of finding out what the post office did with my package, and offered to send a replacement shirt if I could prove that the USPS lost the package. Of course, the local post office claims they delivered it correctly.I emailed again with this information and asking for a shipping receipt or proof of shipping insurance so I could find a claim with the USPS, and got no response again, for days. I sent another follow up asking for a response and still got nothing, so I was forced to file a dispute with my credit card company. I hate doing that because I know that almost always ends in a chargeback for the merchant, but I gave them quite a few opportunities to make this situation right.I don't believe it's the customer's responsibility to spend hours trying to resolve shipping issues (meanwhile this company has my money) when USPS and other companies seem to expect claims to be filed by the shipper, not the recipient.

I Love Vermont Flannels! They are the best! So soft and warm! I had to stop and buy another one!! The gentleman at the shop was so friendly and helpful! Highly recommend stopping!

A bit pricey? Yes. But you get what you pay for, which is why we shop and buy flannel apparel no where else. Best, most comfortable pajamas, hoodies, and more... all part of our wardrobe for years. It's getting colder... flannel is a great way to stay warm.

Update 2/28/2022: After leaving my review The Vermont Flannel Company reached out by replying on Google and by email. I'm guessing the issues I had below were a mix of who I was emailing with before and a missing link in the messaging feature. This time an extremely professional Emily reached out and explained how sorry they were for the communication issues and promised to make some changes so it doesn't happen again. She also very worked with me through a series of emails to get my shirt issue sorted out with a generous gift. After such a fast response, now great customer service and literally the nicest flannel I've ever had, I'm easily at 5 stars. I cannot wait to order more and hope my future experiences with them continue to be very positive.The two stars given are for the amazing quality. The 3 missing are for the customer service.... I placed my first order and immediately noticed I ordered the incorrect size. I used the websites message feature on the order page to send a message within a minute of the order. The next day I called to see if they could correct my mistake before shipping. They all but accused me of lying about sending the message because they couldn't see it on their end. Turns out, they check emails but have no idea where their own messages go. I took a screenshot of my message and emailed it to them. They responded saying there is nothing they can do. I then emailed multiple times asking how to return the shirt. Never a single response. Probably because they expect you to pay return shipping no matter the reason for return, as clearly indicated on the form that comes with the shirt. This seems absolutely asinine for any online clothing but especially a higher end clothing company. I was very excited about ordering a lot of winter and summer clothes from them but unfortunately this put a terrible taste in my mouth. Terrible that a non USA made company would have handled this much better.

Website states 100% satisfaction guaranteed. These products are expensive so you expect them to last.My sweater was a little over a year old and the elastic was gone in the sleeves and it was very lightly used. Contacted support and received this response: "We guarantee the quality of the Flannel not the elastic used in the cuffs"I have a north face and other expensive sweaters that have lasted years. Please do not waste your money.Not toention it took them two weeks to tell me no, they don't stand behind their products.

After my husband picked out his shirt from the rack and took it to the cash register the sales lady took it hung it up and pulled a wrinkled replay replacement. I could tell and feel right away it was not the same quality as the one my husband picked up. Sales lady gave us the original when I questioned her. It felt like a bait & switch. Why have a plethora of shirts in every size along both wall of the store if you are not going to sell them?

I have to say I would have given a 5 star but the girl behind the counter at the big e made me want to vomit and I legit didn't eat anything else at the big e since she thought I was fat and said it without saying it I asked her if what she was wearing was in the store and she said yes over on the wall underneath the robes as I'm going over there she yells and there are BIGGER size ones too. I love their shirts although they do run very large. Nice store, better stocked than their website. We enjoyed looking through the flannels and recommend a stop if that's your thing.

I ordered the hooded flannel from them and it is super nice! The problem is that I wanted to return it because I wanted a different color. I set up my return and went to FedEx where they told me it would be $20 for the shipping label to send back. I emailed customer service asking for a return shipping label or a reimbursement for paying $20 to ship a return, but I was informed it is MY responsibility to pay for the shipping label. That is UNHEARD of. I have never had a business charge me for a return shipping label, and with the cost of the flannel itself and about $8 shipping it is a ridiculous amount of money to spend. I am truly angry and disappointed in this company and will not be buying again. Returning should be easy for customers and should not cost an arm and a leg.

I've had a Vermont flannel for years a just bought another on line, the shirt didn't fit, and now they want to charge for the return and another charge to replace. I won't pay an extra 30 dollars for a flannel shirt

These flannels are incredibly comfortable and versatile. They also look very nice. When I went to this store, the service was quick and very helpful. They helped me find what I was looking for and even went out of their way to try and find a specific color and fit. I would only caution that the price can be fairly steep.

The blonde older women was very rude and NOT helpful. The store had very little inventory. We drove four hours to be treated and spoken to with no respect. Don’t waste your time going to this particular store. I LOVE Vermont flannel clothing. I’m going to start ordering online.

We own a flannel shirt and blanket from here! The quality is clear and these are made to last and last! I always hang dry both and never have an issue with pilling. The customer service is always wonderful and helpful! If you're in the downtown Woodstock area you should stop in and get something warm and cozy!

Small store which can become crowded quickly. Dogs welcome. Service was fantastic and we visited because there was no Big E this year. Parking is on street and the day we were there the store closed for lunch around 2:45 a 3:45 ( may vary ). If you’re traveling to this location you might call ahead to verify hours.

We happened to be passing through town and spotted this place, made a quick U-turn and dropped in. Very glad we did. We purchased very nice flannels for a trip we made the next week. All product are extremely well made, from shirts to blankets.

I was looking for a very luxurious flannel shirt. I have one light weight flannel shirt from Orbis. I like it. But it wasn't exactly what I wanted. Then, after a visit to Vermont, I visited the The Big E in West Springfield,MA.Vermont Flannel had a few sales booths at the Fair. I tried on a shirt. Perfect soft feel. Now that it's getting cooler in Northern CA the shirt is amazingly comfortable.

The store could be awesome, but they have like 5 patterns with about six options of actual clothing. Also, very pricey for flannel. I was hoping for something better, but couldn't justify spending the money as the quality didn't even seem that great.
