F.H. Gillingham & Sons is quite the General Store! I'd have to say it has everything from general foodstuffs, items for pets, candy and more candy, hand crafted wood, a huge selection of wine, leather wallets, hunting and fishing wear, games, and everything else. They have a super cool original Otis elevator. There's a lot to say about this store, but just go there and find out for yourself.

Walking through town we saw this awesome store and ventured in . Wow! This is what a true Vt general store is all about. It has everything you could possibly need. It goes WAY back too. So many nooks and crannies to explore. Truly a delight to be in . We talked about it for an hour after visiting.

Lots of good stuff and very friendly staff! The store is much larger than 8t looks from the outside. There are areas in the back that are huge with games and toys. The other areas have pet stuff and kitchen items.

Love F.H. Gillingham & Sons general store. Its like going back in time when you enter the establishment. From the creaky floor, smell, and merchandise. A little of everything to choose from. Recommend!

This amazing store has an incredible selection of high quality items, and is definitely not your typical general store. We bought Stonewall kitchen crackers and jelly to go with the Sancerre and Rose wines we picked out from the wonderful wine section. We also got Darn Tough Vermont wool hiking socks.If you’re staying in the area this is a great place for shopping.

Awesome little store in Woodstock. Staff are sweet and helpful, always happy to help you find what you’re looking for. Special shout out to Tania who was super nice and made my experience very special. The store has just about everything and is laid out very nicely. I love shopping there and would recommend it to everyone. Especially with Covid, I trust Gillinghams a lot and feel very safe there compared to other big box stores.

This is a fun store. We were entertained. I was looking for Darn Tough socks, which brings me to why I don't give them 5 stars. I could only find 2 pair of men's large. All the rest of the men's were extra large. I bought the 2 pair they had and I love them. I've changed my mind. I'm giving them 5 stars but I'm not rewriting this review. Besides this place is iconic.

Best place to get your local VT foods and gifts! This place has a lot of history and pretty much anything you're looking for! Staff are super friendly and helpful! You can't end your visit to Woodstock without a stop at Gillingham's!

This is an institution in Woodstock. Seems like it would be a hardware store, but its much more than that. I'd call it a mandatory tourist stop for anyone visiting Woodstock. They have food and drink as well as hardware and tourist trinkets. So, you can stock up for an evening in the hotel room if you are not eating out. Great visit, and they''ll allow you to bring your dog in.

This place was really neat! They were low on inventory ( we visited just after Christmas) but they did an amazing job of merchandising it so it looked full and inviting. If you’re in town and want to step back in time, this is the place

Picture yourself walking back in time into a 1950s General Store in the mountains. That's FH Gillingham & Sons. This store has multiple rooms and seems to go on forever... including room of wines, foods, Carhartt clothing and some souvenirs. Wish there was a greater selection of sweatshirts and made local type of stuff, but I definitely give it an A- for the experience.

Perfect spot to find local made kitchen wear and a snack-before a good walk through Woodstock. Strongly recommend going here the staff is nice such a wonderful place to just stop in and look around in the afternoon.
