Basically, it's a hotel/motel. Like a motel with a hotel vibe, maybe. Very clean room and bathroom. The host is super friendly. They even have their own store. The bed is super comfy, and the sheets were soft. The tv has everything you could want on it. There is something just relaxing about the place. The host will respond right away. It is not that much money for what you get for peace of mind. Thank you for letting us stay. They even have coffee for you. They also left 2 waters in the fridge. A baby Scope in the bathroom. Toothbrush, etc...shower had shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. It was a very pleasant stay.Noteworthy details: Every amenity you could think of.

Had a wonderful time staying at Horizon Inn. Jennifer is a great host! Very nice and clean room. Lots of small extras in the bathroom that you would expect only from 5-star hotel. Convenient location - close to the ski slope, hiking trails, and the restaurants in Wilmington. I certainly will be back and will recommend to my friends.

Freshly remodeled, very pleasant, clean, cozy and modern. The room comes with water bottles, a coffee machine, tooth brushes, in addition to all the other amenities you'd expect from a nice 3-star hotel.The host, Jen, is very friendly, pleasant and accommodating. Just 15-20 mins. from the mountain and very reasonably priced.Can't recommend this place enough, my family and I will definitely stay here again.Rooms: Clean, modern, cozyNearby activities: Minutes from Snow MountainSafety: Very safe, all the other guests were ski going families, everyone was polite and friendly.

We have stayed here twice and have recommend others who all agree this is the place to be. The rooms are all new, well stocked with extra items you wouldn't expect. I think the only reason it's called 2 star may be the size because while small these rooms are very well done. Very comfortable beds, clean and the host is very responsive and helpful. We highly recommend The Horizon Inn whenever you are in the area.

I’ve stayed at the Horizon a few times. Rooms are always so tidy and sleek yet comfortable at the same time! Bathroom stocked with everything you might have forgot. The “coffee bar” in each room has a nice little selection of k-cups. And the staff is always great at communicating from check in to after check out.(Forgot my charger in the room and got a text from them after leaving) Always a pleasure.

My Great Dane and I are walking around America to bring awareness to Suicide.As we walked all day and reached the top of the mountain a black SUV pulled up and out walked Christian.Christian said he owned the inn down the way and invited us to stay the night.Thr next day a storm dumped a ft of snow on us and he then invited us to stay till the storm passes.I could tell you about the the amazing rooms and location but to me the more important is the owners.I am amazed about the kindness they shared not only with the room but made sure we had food waiting new shoes and everything us we could want or need for our stay but even long after You want to support food people then you need to visit the Horizon Inn and tell them Medusa sent ya!God Bless you all!!Rooms: Newly renovatedSafety: Updated locks and camerasNoteworthy details: The owners

The rooms were SO cute and clean! There were many extra amenities that were very thoughtful and helpful such as Q tips, advil, water, a keurig with coffee, and so on. We really enjoyed this stay and felt right at home! Check in was super easy and the host was very responsive.Hogback Mountain views and shop are 1 minute away and it is a short drive to the beautiful downtown area of Wilmington where many shops and local restaurants are located.Rooms: The rooms were SO cute and clean! Jennifer was extremely accommodating. We had to arrive very early in the morning after traveling all night. She was quick to respond and the place was better than our expectations. It is clear that Jennifer really cares about her guests as she has thought of everything for this cozy space! :) Though we did not plan to end up in Wilmington that day, we just may go again to stay here and explore the surroundings.

One of the best INNs in the area! We used to come often to Wilmington for snowboarding and this place is the best. The one and most remarkable difference between this one and other places we stayed - it’s newly renovated and very clean! and so many little things, you could forget and would need: like toothbrush, shaving cream, etc) we had everything) but the feeling that owner is caring about his guests is nice. Would definitely try to book again next time and highly recommend .

We’ve stayed here twice now and both times were great! The rooms are nearly renovated and clean. The beds are firm and so comfortable after a long day of snowboarding at Mount Snow. It’s close to the downtown and the mountain and it is very easy to find. You can hear people walking upstairs if you’re staying in the downstairs rooms but it’s not overly distracting. This is becoming our go to place to stay when coming to snowboard in the area.

The Horizon Inn is an incredible place to stay when skiing at Mt. Snow. It is only a quick 12-15 min drive and is close to a lot of amazing places to eat. Jennifer is a great host and is highly responsive. The rooms themselves are massive and the backyard is beautiful especially after a fresh snow. The room had everything we needed and it was lovely to see the toiletries provided. We have now stayed at the Horizon Inn on three separate occasions and encountered no issues and had a great stay. Thank you again for hosting us this winter season Jennifer and we will be back next season (probably sooner to experience a Vermont summer).

We love staying at the Horizon. The rooms are wonderfully appointed, with comfortable beds and a warm and cozy atmosphere. Need a bandaid or forgot your toothbrush? It’s there if you need it. Nice refrigerator, and table for 2. There’s even a Work station. It’s the perfect location to return to after a day of skiing, or a hike or a day just driving around, taking in Beautiful Vermont. It’s the perfect place, with a price that is great. And oh. Did I mention the host? Wonderful!Nearby activities: The Horizon is in the center of it all for Southern Vermont. Midway between Bennington and Brattleboro. Close to breweries, hiking, downtown Wilmington with quaint shops and great restaurants

I enjoyed the stay! Place was very nice & provided some essentials some people forget like deodorant & hair spray. WIFI was terrible & had to use hot spot on my cell phone to use television as it is a Roku TV. Fire pit out back was nice. All rooms air bnb so no front desk services. (Could have used more coffee items for a 2 night stay).

Horizon Inn is great. I've stayed here with my daughter a few times; Jeniffer the host is lovely and extremely helpful, and makes every visit a pleasant experience. The room and bathroom are nice and very clean, and it was great having microwave and fridge for breakfast and snacks. 15 min from Mt. Snow made our snowboarding trip awesome.

I was attending an all day workshop 2 hours from my home and this was the perfect place to stay the night before so I could avoid the long drive that morning. It was clean, comfortable and had plenty of hot water, a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Jennifer had lots of extras in case you forget - your toothbrush! The place is in the middle of renovating - but that had no effect on my stay. The room was all new which is a plus. Thanks!

2nd time in 2 years staying here to ski at Mount Snow and won't be the last. Jennifer is extremely responsive and friendly. Flexible check-in time (as we usually don't get up there until pretty late). Rooms are very well appointed and clean. The renovations also don't impede on your stay in any way. Very reasonably priced for the area. Awesome brewery right up the street too, check out Beer Naked!

The reviews don't make clear that this is no longer a traditional hotel but a set of Airbnb rooms/suites nestled in between construction works in progress. As of August 2023, there is no in-person office; you can't just drive up and rent a room.The rooms themselves have been glowed up Airbnb style and are pretty nice. Jennifer adds some nice extras. We stayed here for one night for my husband's marathon the next morning, and it did the trick.Where one would expect there to be an office, there are DIY pay snacks and drinks. WiFi was fast and water pressure was good! But there really are some construction areas, I look forward to coming back and seeing them complete.

We were looking for a comfortable and clean place to stay for a last minute trip to Wilmington and were so pleasantly surprised to find this gem! The room was completely renovated, immaculately clean and super comfortable. Jennifer added awesome personal touches like provisions in the bathroom and other details to make our stay comfortable. Even though it's a few minutes outside of town, it was well worth it to stay there. Jennifer was very responsive and kind. We will absolutely be staying here again!

We had an awesome stay! The host gave us many great food and activities suggestions. I think we covered almost all of it, and some! The BBQ place a few miles east was a slam dunk. I would definitely recommend to other guests. Also just a stones throw away is the Southern Vermont Natural History Museum, country store, distillery, and brewery/wood fired pizza place. We really appreciated all of the details and extra touches. The bed, I’m pretty sure, was the comfiest we have felt while on vacation and the oversized pillows made it feel nothing less than luxurious. We loved the backyard space with fire pits and grills. It was a great spot to unwind, have a fire, and stargaze.We also stopped by 802 spirits and found a glorious assortment of ciders and, something I am always looking for but rarely find, root beer on tap! I found out through spying a cookbook there, with the hotel name on it, that our hosts also own this place, so I had to mention how stoked we were for the awesome selections that were offered.Already looking forward to our next stay and the future plans for the hotel.

Jennifer was super helpful with my last minute, same-night request for a room while I was traveling home with my son. She hooked us up with one of the handicap-friendly rooms. The room had just been redone and was full of thoughtful, convenient touches (such as a ramp from the backdoor to the courtyard and fireplace area). There was plenty of linens, toiletries, coffee, water bottles and pillows. It was very cozy and I would definitely stay again!
