Had dinner on a rainy Saturday night. The place was quaint with a lot of character. Loved the ambience and the decorations. The owner was also our waiter and bartender and we had nice conversations. The food was all delicious and everyone left full. I’d come back to try everything on the menu. THE POUTINE! I enjoyed the vegetable curry savory pie. They must have given a whole filet for the fish and chips. The presentation of the pork pie was fantastic. I had a little bit of everything from each member of my family’s plates. There is so much in the menu that I’d love to try. Would go back to Wilmington just to eat here again!

I loved this place. The only reason for the 4 stars on service is that on the day I showed up, there was one gentleman (British accent) who I believe is the owner. There was also a cook. That was it. But when I wandered into the small store entrance, looking at the rustic shelves of British goods, the friendly owner spotted me and quietly asked me if I wanted to eat. Yes, I did, so he brought me through a series of small uneven rooms with creaky floorboards (charming) to the dining and bar area. I ordered a tuna melt, and it took a while as the owner was also the bartender and needed to attend to the guests at the bar. I was not in a hurry, so I soaked in the eclectic construction and decoration that makes Jezebel's such an inviting place. It's informal, but well maintained and cared about. I didn't have to wait too long, and the tuna melt with local cheese and fresh dill was cooked perfectly, paired with homemade, snappy coleslaw made for an excellent lunch. Obviously, the cook knows what she's doing. Prices are very fair, I was treated very well, and the food was great. This is not upscale. This is just-right scale, and I look forward to returning.

The owner was our server, and he was extremelly friendly. The restaurant is decorated in an electic array of art and memorabilia... this I found very interesting and thought it resembled the 60's/70's. My son and I split the fish and chips and the reuben. Both were very delicious. The chef was a very nice woman who made our meals fresh. She was also very friendly. We will most likely be visiting here again before we make the trip home from our springbreak. I would HIGHLY recommend this place!

This place is amazing! The owner was very sweet and interesting. If you’re in a rush this place isn’t for you. If you have time it’s the perfect place. I recommend all the British Fare they have in the menu! The owners are British and the food was executed perfectly. The fish & chips, savory pie, chicken tikka and grilled cheese were all delicious. While waiting for you food walk around and take in all the neat art that is around.

Diverse fresh menu featuring a full bar and daily specials. We were greeted promptly and our food arrived as ordered. Delicious! The atmosphere is great and we took note of the pantry items for sale (cash only). Will be back again when we are in the area next time.

New favorite spot in town! Went for lunch with my mom Friday and breakfast with friends Sunday - delicious both times. Great prices, cozy atmosphere, and the owner is really nice. Love the general store in the front for buying imported UK goodies (Cadbury and Double Decker candy bars galore!) Highly recommended!

Small quaint and delicious spot in town. We went last month and I can’t stop thinking about the fish and chips. Similar to other reviews, the restaurant opened a little after 11;30, but we recognized it’s a small restaurant with a small staff and were patient and it was well worth the wait! We went back the next day and will be regulars whenever we are in the area.

Rude service, decent food. We came at 11:30 on a Saturday morning and no one was there even though they’re supposed to open at 11:30. More people started to show up and a pretty decent line formed outside. A woman finally showed up and opened at 11:45 and then immediately started complaining to all the customers that everyone showed up at once and it would overload the kitchen. Well maybe if they’d actually opened on time, it would have been more spaced out…The rude comments and service continued until it became clear she didn’t even really want us to be there, as if we were doing her some disservice by showing up to her restaurant. I’ve eaten there before and the food is decent, but not worth the hostile service, especially considering there’s so many other good options in town nearby.

The food was very good, combined with very slow service. Our server, John, was absolutely lovely and kind. There were options for gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan meals. We came as a larger party on a quiet evening and were well fed.The Hangover Burger without the bun was very good.

Beautiful place, feels like time stopped here many years ago. Good choice of sandwiches and beers. Food was delicious. We had lovely companion who helped us finish what we couldn't fit in our stomachs. There was also older gentleman named John. He was very nice, told us stories about many places around. It was pleasure to listen to him. We definitely gonna be back here!

I can’t believe the good reviews of this eatery. The place was really dirty. Dirty tables were left with glasses and food scapes. The bar was a mess as well with empty glasses everywhere. The people preparing the food are not practicing proper hygiene. I found hair in my food and that was the end of it for me. I felt sick to my stomach. I should have known it would be bad when I saw multiple flies circling our table before the food even arrived. I honestly do not know how this place stays in business. I’m still disgusted thinking about the whole experience. Avoid at all costs.

My husband, toddler and I stopped here on a Friday night while passing through town on a road trip from Arizona to Maine, and we very much enjoyed it. Traveling and dining out with a toddler is difficult during covid times, and I was so beyond happy to find a restaurant with a strict mask and vaccination policy. Knowing a business is truly covid conscious really puts me more at ease when taking my toddler out in public (I can’t isolate her forever, it’s not good for her development, which is one reason why people who can mask in public should). Covid aside, I loved this place. It is so overwhelmingly cozy inside, dim lighting, low ceilings, very warm and inviting. It felt like coming home. The folks who were working were also the owners, the wife is the chef, husband is the Brit bartender/host/server. Tom Waits was playing softly over the speakers when we walked in, and we were greeted warmly by the husband of this lovely husband and wife team, and I knew we’d come to the right place for a late dinner. The food was quickly prepared by the chef, and it was delicious. It was as if it were lovingly prepared by mom who also happens to be a chef. I had the chicken taco bowl which was prepared gluten free, and my husband had the fish and chips. Both were delicious and proportioned just right. Both the owners (I regret I didn’t get their names) also went out of their way to try to help us find accommodations, which was very kind of them. Just a great experience all around. If I were a tourist in this tourist town, this would definitely be a place I’d come to for dinner and drinks time and time again and should we pass through on our way back to Arizona, we will definitely pay them a visit.

Delicious food, great service, great for families!! The Reuben sandwich was perfect. Wings were big- wing/drum connected. All meat was fresh and tasty. Not sure what others saw in "poor" service. We feel the vibe was "take your time, and enjoy a rest". If you're looking for fast food and fast service, come with patience and you'll be satisfied. We'll definitely be back or next time through.

Great service, amazing Bloody Mary. People that waited on us were super friendly and helpful, made us feel very welcome. Tuna sandwich and the cheesesteak were also both very enjoyable and filling meals. Definitely coming back the next time we’re in Vermont!

This place was recommended by a complete stranger while we were hanging out at the bar at mount snow.We stopped by there on the way home after long day of skiing.Super hole in a wall place with good food options and a nice drink menu.I guess the place is owned by a british as the menu is loaded with UK food options.Overall atmosphere was great, drinks were strong. The only part i didn’t exactly like was when i asked the old man ( most likely an owner) what are they know for, his response was “food”.I mean duh… thats obvious … idk if he tried to be funny or whatever but thats not how you respond to the customer…

We have been here on 4 occasions spanning 2 years. 3 of those occurred recently.Food: 5/5Service: 5/5Ambience: 5/5Cleanliness: 5/5Cost: 5/5Things we Ordered:SalmonMac and cheeseDuck wings(no longer available)Chicken WingsFrench toastEnglish cream teaPoutineJezebel sandwichCubano sandwichCubano tacosGarden saladWild mushroom and brie soupSweet potato friesBacon ButtyScot buttyThere is not a better restaurant in a 100 mile radius and I would say it constantly over performs even the best places in Manhattan and the boroughs (where I live). It has a diverse menu ranging from American Staples like burgers and wings, to UK food you won't find anywhere else, English breakfast and english cream tea and others I can remember.John and the other staff are some of the nicest, sweetest people I have ever met in the food service business. They might not be the quickest(but not slow by any stretch of the imagination), but their attention to detail and focus on the customer is a breath of fresh air in an industry that quickly rushes from one customer to another. They are reasonably priced and have a wonderful assortment of goodies in there store that sells goodies mostly from out of country. If you are anywhere near Wilmington Vermont you owe it to yourself to stop by. And say hi to John for me.

Very casual dinning. Seating hidden behind an English themed shop. The food was excellent but very casual and no thrills. Paper plates and soda cans casual. The employees were super nice but the service was slow so don't come if you're in a rush. If you're looking for comfort food and have time to relax I would highly recommend. We had the burger and hot dog and it was the best hot dog I've had in a long time. Almost went back for another one for the road. Really good. Burgers and fries were tasty too.

We got two cold sandwiches and they were delicious. The turkey and the roast beef. We're definitely going to stop again on our way through and maybe check out the connected bar. Good tunes while I waited.Features: There is a barrier at the checkout.
