I have been a customer at this place before and after they became United AG and Turf. Aways great service. Most recently, I brought them a Honda snowblower that they serviced and I was not able to pick it up. They offered to deliver it at no charge. This was a huge help because I could not find a pick up truck. I'll be back to have other tools service there as well. I did also purchase a chainsaw from them last year and they were very helpful to change out the size of a bar to accommodate my needs. Dave is true pro who takes care of his customers.

I bought a 3046R with a number of implements in July, 2023.Actual tractor when delivered had two surprising problems become apparent within a few hours of running: Engine overheated twice, and an o-ring blew in the hydraulic system causing me to lose what looked to be at least a gallon of hydraulic fluid on the ground above our pond. In both cases, Dave, the service manager responded very promptly to address the issues. For the overheating, Dave sent out Austin, an extremely capable service technician, to fix the overheating problem. While doing that, Austin spent time teaching me about some of the modern features on the tractor, and answering all my unanswered technical questions that remained from the sales process. Excellent interaction! Then, a few days later, the hydraulic system issue occurred with about 5 run hours on the tractor. Dave responded immediately to this issue, sending out James to retrieve the tractor and return it to the shop. While at the shop, Austin diagnosed the issue as a blown O-ring from the factory, and corrected the issue. James then returned the tractor to me the same day!! Excellent service response to what I hope is an extraordinarily rare set of quality control issues with this new John Deere tractor. Thank you Dave and Austin!

My wife and I bought a John Deere X350 Lawn Tractor a couple months ago when our old Craftsman tractor died. Our salesman, Phil S., bent over backwards to give us the best deal possible. The tractor has worked out very well mowing our almost 3 acre lawn. As a matter of fact, my wife has now claimed first rights to it! WE could not be more satisfied with our purchase, or with our choice of United Ag and Turf in Williston. THANKS, PHIL!

Mark Zygadlo was a Godsend: I bought a used John Deere L110. It had a bunch of issues. With Marks help, I was able to diagnose & correct several electrical problems. Also, with only a tensioner pulley to draw from, he deduced through diligent research that the previous owner had replaced the original deck with an L160 deck. No wonder L110 parts didn't work on that deck. He also helped me with a deck leveling problem (missing rear deck hangers). Now I know what I am up against, and have a functioning, serviceable tractor. Mark made it his mission to get things right. I had thought that customer service of this kind no longer existed. Thank you Mark, and thank you United A & G for Mark!

I wish every company I deal with was as good as United Ag & Turf in Williston, VT. Their service department is the Gold Standard, in my experience. Ask for Dave - he's a real pro. Courteous, competent and professional. Don't bother going anywhere else for your John Deere service. These folks will get the job done right, on time and on budget.

Harvest Equipment (Williston,VT) has excellent customer service. I've purchased my new John Deere Tractor, a Honda Snowblower and a few Stihl products from them as well.When my X330 tractor with 43 hours on it had two pulleys and a belt fail (under warranty), the service department came to pick up my tractor to repair it the same day I contacted them and had it back to me at the end of the same week.Busy place right now considering the time of year, but, they came through for me as they have in the past. They are really great for a prompt response for questions or status of a repair. I highly recommend them for both sales and service departments. Very satisfying experiences with them always. I'll keep going back there...they have my business!

Looked up hours on Google to find they are open until 1pm on Saturdays at the Williston location. I rush out the door to get to the store by noon and arrive at 12:05 to find a piece of paper on the door stating the close at noon. Nobody around, lights off. Wasted trip. Not sure where the fault lies here but it sure was frustrating. Best bet would be to call but good luck getting anybody to call you back. Tried buying a tractor through them but couldn’t get through to anyone.

I’ve had an unusual experience with Harvest Equipment. I bought a piece of equipment for my tractor. They were so helpful in coming up to North Hero to get the tractor and return it. Came back when I had issues. THEN I really discovered that the new implement just didn’t work for me or the tractor I was using. I reached out and Harvest came promptly to get it and make me whole. I would never suggest that someone return anything but this was a really upsetting situation for me and Harvest was so great about it. Reviews when things are great are nice to hear but I wanted to make sure to reach out because Harvest Equipment was great when things weren’t. That’s the sign of a truly great company

Overall a bad experience buying at tractor here. 1025R series one. No calls back until I called a few times. Arrived later than promised. Delivery time was wrong and I had to interrupt a meeting to take delivery. Sales told me they would give me a full demonstration of features on delivery. At Delivery I was told “we don’t have time for that.” Not good.

I purchased my John Deere lawn tractor when Covid hit back in May 2020 and never got the proper run through on the snowblower due to covid (which was understandable). I have had a few minor issues with it running properly. I called them and they went out of their way to make sure that I got 110% service and attention. I went in to trouble shoot an issue with my mower when it wouldn't start. I bought the mower from a friend and it's not a brand they sell. Regardless of that fact they helped me troubleshoot the issues with it and let me know everything I should check to get it working again. Sure enough they knew the issue on an off brand mower and helped me fix it on my own. It cost me next to nothing. Just want to say how much I appreciate their willingness to help me out. That's the kind of thing that will make me a loyal customer for the future and recommend Harvest Equipment in Williston Vermont to anyone who needs a good place to go. Thanks everyone for working with me and making my life easier!

So mixed feelings. Parts are always expensive if you want the green stamp of approval. That is what it is, you should know better and either buy online or hack it yourself if that's an issue (my opinion). Service is.... interesting. Generally you expect not get shafted with fees for no results. I.E.:I bought an older tractor. Flat tire, deck was unmounted. I needed to know if it was worth buying parts to mount the deck. Being backed up loaded with work is fine, I was informed it would be a week.Finally i was called in, and I did get slapped with a 125$ fee for a "take my word for it, you can look at the list but not keep it " price of about $1200 to mount the deck. So, for about 6 words I was charged $125.00 and I still don't know what I need to mount the deck. So NOW I know that John Deere policy is not to tell you the model number of parts you need.Anyway be prepared to be charged if your looking for information. Not your friendly neighborhood mechanic. And buy online if your trying to save money. And maybe go to YouTube or forums and fix it yourself. Two stars because they sell parts, and sometimes they are in stock.Cheers

Poor experience!! Buy a tractor wait forever for the product you just bought. Finally bring the tractor to you and a month later pick it up Without notification to put part on that was bought at time of buying tractor. Call next day to find out when we are getting it back because we were using it at time of pick up and find out it could be another day or more before we get it back. I feel I should have my tractor back within 24 hours if you take it the day before for servicing! Very unhappy customer!

STAY AWAY: I thought going to a dealer would come with good service but not here. We brought our sitting lawnmower in for maintenance and repairs. We received a call on a Friday stating the lawnmower was ready to go. We arrived on Monday to pick up the machine and were told it started without a problem in the morning. We walked out to pick it up and the mechanic brought a battery charger with him although stated previously the battery was fine. It would not start and the mechanic admitted he actually had not started it this morning. After giving us a stamp of approval and saying it was ready to move they tried to sell us our dead mower. They then tried to say a solenoid switch was busted and that we would now have to pay the parts for that after they had guaranteed it was running. I would expect a reputable business to stand by their work and not charge extra. Will never be going back.

This is the second John Deere lawn tractor that I've purchased from these Harvest Equipment Williston guys. The sales department experience, both times, was great. The service experience is very sketchy. I bought my mower during April and the first time I used it to mow my lawn, May 17, 2015 the drive belt came off during the first fifteen minutes of using the machine. I left town that day for a businesses trip and called the dealership from the Midwest. My experience with the service department leaves me feeling like they think they are doing me a favor. First, I'm out of town, I've used the machine once, when I call I'm told, by Joe, that he's to busy to talk to me, because he's swamped and there are customers ahead of me. Of course I can't see any customers. I'm on the phone several hundred miles away. No bedside manner at all. No attempt to make me feel better. No I'm sorry to hear this happened on your brand new machine, etc. Nope. So, I make an appointment to talk to him in two hours. When I talk to him he tells me he'll send someone to pickup the machine, which to his credit he does. During that conversation we agree that I'll call the next day for an update. I call the next day, mid-afternoon, as we agreed. When I call he's clearly upset by me asking for an update and he asks me why I'm calling him. I told him, because we prearranged the call and I'd like to know what the prognosis is for me to be able to mow my lawn this weekend. His response is to tell me that he told me it would 7-10 days before I'd probably see my mower. Not true. He never told me that. He also told me that no diagnostic had been done on my machine yet. So I said - I'll call you back tomorrow for a status. He says to me: "No. Here's how it's done. Don't call us, we'll call you." I'm still out of town. I still have no idea why my brand new machine threw a belt during its maiden voyage. I don't know when I'll get it back.update*** May 21, 2015. Called to talk to my salesperson, because I still had not heard anything from the Service Manager. Got hooked up with their regional Sales Manager, Chris. He immediately took the bull by the horns and got my machine fixed, delivered to my house, waiting for me when I got home from the airport. Upgrade my experience from two stars to four stars. Thanks Chris!

Gave employee specific model of JD tractor to get correct oil filter and air filter. Oil filter wayyyy of. Totally wrong. Trip back to get right one. Later tried air filter. Wrong size. Another trip back to get right one. 3 trips instead of 1. 120 miles instead of 40. 2+ wasted hours. Same guy each time.

I bought a tractor at Lowe's, which started burning oil and stalling. Harvest Equipment in Williston handles warranty work for Lowes. First it took three weeks for Lowes to pick it up, that's on them, then it took nearly three weeks for Harvest Equipment to pick it up and take it to their facility, where it has been forgoing on two weeks. They do not let the customer know what is going on, and do not respond to messages left on their website. So far they don't even rate a star.

Website is horrible. Unable to navigate to the in stock equipment. It just does a slow scroll so you have to wait for it to scan over something that looks appealing. Make it more user friendly so we can search inventory please.
