Great care, friendly people, respectful environment.Really happy with this vet, except for one small complaint. We made an appointment for a car neutering. My wife paid 50% at the time of making the appointment.$150 to make it, $300 total."is that exactly half of what the bill will be, including tax and all other costs?""Tax will add a few bucks but yes."Go in for the appointment, get handed a bill for $223."um, I paid half""yeah but there's these fees..." goes on to explain.I wasn't pleased, but had a drugged kitty and wanted to discuss it with my wife first before assuming my memory was correct.A simple misunderstanding I'm quite sure, but you did tell us it was exactly half, we budgeted for that number, and it is $78 higher. In this economy?Again, GREAT VET. Bring your cat here, but leave a financial buffer even when you are told a firm number. That's life though, great cat spot. Highly recommend,

10/10 would recommend to anyone worried about their little furry friend. Obviously making sure your best friend is healthy will cost something but these are the people I would trust with my lil man. Thank you! Y’all deserve 5 stars. Also super fun waiting room very clean place all around, only dirt was from my shoes(my bad).

Absolutely the best experience we've had with vet care. Every staff member is truly invested in the health, safety, and comfort of our cats, which has been proven again and again. The passion and dedication in attending to the unique needs of cats is exceptional, and our recent experiences with Dr. Coombs have been outstanding. I would never go anywhere else.

More like affectionately want your money, I've never had a worse vet and I've never seen someone make sure you have to make deposits just to steal your money. They lied to us, their flea treatment didn't work, and then forced us to pay for a visit we were 10 minutes late for. Literally simple google searches are better cat advice than what they told us. STAY VERY FAR AWAY FROM THESE FRAUDS!

I have been going to Affectionately Cats for 18 years and I would never go anywhere else. They're thorough and compassionate, and they genuinely love cats. Every Wednesday they spend the whole day just doing low-cost spaying and neutering for cats in the community (although they still see patients if it's urgent). If they were a "money grubbing scam" like a couple reviewers have claimed, why would they spend one whole day a week doing this charitable work? We have two cats rights now, both rescue cats, and they treat them like royalty. We are far from rich, even struggling to get by sometimes, and I think their prices are very fair - especially considering the level of care we receive.

Amazing experience! These folks care about cats! Staff is very well trained and knowledgeable. Made my very nervous cat feel comfortable. Very clear in explaining recommended treatments. To the reviews claiming they charge too much, the doctor laid out treatment costs and urgency before doing anything to make sure treatments were within our budget. Go here if you care about your cats comfort!

So glad to find a caring local vet to care for my anxious kitty! Even with covid precautions (curbside drop off/pickup) the entire team made us feel cared for. Clear communications and clearly everyone loves cats! My sweetie is home and snuggled up in my arms. Thank you to Dr. Miner for being so kind and compassionate. (Photos to show the team what she’s like when she’s calmer!)

Pure money grab.Took our 15 year old cat there for an urgent exam of an abscess that ruptured. Before even looking at the abscess they began to discuss surgery. They held her for over four hours, gave an exam. They did not even attempt to flush it. Then told us she needed surgery as it would "just refill". Gave us a quote of over 800$ just for the bloodwork to see if she could handle going under general. They also suggested fluids as she seemed dehydrated and quoted us 400$ for that.Because they mentioned the possibility of surgery before even looking, I chose a second opinion. My 15 year old is not going to risk surgery on her frail body unless it's absolutely necessary.Lo and behold, it isn't. As expected, the abscess was immediately flushed and she got a shot of antibiotics. It's all healed. She also received fluids for dehydration. She's fine, the total vet bill cost us less than half of what the bloodwork alone would have cost at affectionately cats! She did not need to be put under or sedated for treatment of an abscess. She didn't have to undergo an unnecessary and dangerous surgery. We questioned the second vet about a surgery for an abscess and they said they would only do that if it was cancerous, which they would test first!UPDATE: It is now a month later, my cat is completely healthy as of her last vet visit with the VCA. I stand by all statements here. This vet should be ashamed of themselves.

Great place if you have tons of money and FREE time!!Booked a month in advance for a 4:30 checkup so I didn't have to leave work early. Last week I get 4 (yes FOUR) voicemail messages saying they needed us to come in for 4:15 instead. I then received 2 more calls which I answered and both times said OK we can be there at 4:15 and I arranged to leave early from work. Today, the day of the appointment, I leave work early drive home to pick up our cat to make the 4 :15 appoinment and at 3:55pm when I am 10 minutes away, they text me that they have to reschedule because they had an emergency this morning! IF the emergency was this morning, they had all day to call me and reschedule instead they wait until I'm around the corner with an unhappy cat in the car to tell me they can't stay to honor our appointment. LAME!!!!!!

This veterinary clinic is a rip off that capitalizes on maximizing the fees and things your cat needs. The staff is kind but definitely well trained in getting the most money out of each client. The neutering process is really what blows my mind and I am incredibly disappointed in this office. I really wanted to love it and bring my cat here but it’s just a ridiculous price range and they LOVE to blindside with added fees and procedures that your cat “needs”

The staff at Affectionately Cats were very kind, professional and organized. They have a very efficient contact-less pet drop-off set up, and my cat was in and out of her routine check-up in under 30 minutes! The vet gave me a very detailed appointment summary and helpful tips on how to keep my cat healthy. I will definitely use them for my regular veterinary care!

Have used this feline veterinary practice for about 20 years. Several of my cats have received early diagnosis of illness which has enabled early treatment. My cats reside in NY and take a ferry across Lake Champlain to reach the practice.

I went against my better judgement and tried to use Affectionately Cats after watching two friends have a bad experience. If you have extra money laying around and want to get extra things done to your cat that aren’t needed, you could still go here. Unfriendly on the phone and overcharge for services. I wish I had followed my gut and gone somewhere else which is what I ended up having to do anyways since they cancelled all of their neutering appointments for the next few months after I had already paid for their required physical and vaccines. Will not go back here no matter what pricing they offer.

INaffective in diagnosing and prescibing medication for 12 week old kitten resulting in a very serious worsening next morning and possibility of surgical intervention. Obviously not equipped to diagnose and refer to a more specialized facility which should have been discussed the day of treatment. Never suggested a follow-up appointment for the day after being seen.In my opinion, this is NOT the place to rely on for expert care of any cat, much less a kitten !Charge exhorbatant fees for basically substandard/very routine care. Please do research as to the excellent Vets in that area!PEAK is a good one about a mile away.

Over the past few months I have brought in 3 different foster kittens. My anxiety was heightened by their varying issues. Affectionately Cats staff were AWESOME. for each case, they asked questions about history, examined them, provided immense amounts of reassurance, offered suggestions, and gave me information on possibilities, affordable tests to evaluate, and what to look for. I was pleased with their professionalism and attention to details that could become crucial in their care.AND EXAMS and vaccinations ARE important prior to spay or neuter surgery!! One kitten had an upper respiratory infection, which could have been an issue with his neuter surgery, which is now rescheduled! Thank you Dr. Kessler, for checking him out and making suggestions to help!

Amazing!! They provided kind and compassionate care to my young kitten, and I am very happy to have found such a great place to take my baby. The vet and the tech were just so nice! They were also able to get my baby in in just a week :) would highly recommend to any cat owners needing a veterinarian in the area!

I have nothing but good things to say about all of the veterinary staff at Affectionately Cats! Our cat is barely anxious at all for her visits, it is AWESOME for cats who are afraid of dogs to take her someplace where there are no scary dog smells and noises to up her nerves. The vets themselves, especially Ali Griffin, the Veterinary Nurse that we've been seeing with our cat lately is thorough, kind, and knowledgeable. We've never felt rushed into big decisions, she takes the time to answer all of our questions from big scary ones, to small seemingly inconsequential ones. This may seem silly, but I think it's really great that when we're talking to her about our kitty, that she crouches or sits down on the ground on our cat's level rather than forcing our cat to stay ill-at-ease up on a table while the people talk about her.We have a senior cat (about 13 or so) and her health issues sort of all piled up at once, which can be overwhelming. I feel like she's in good hands here and they discuss all options rather than just pushing surgery or invasive procedures if it might not be the most humane and ethical approach for your animal. They are also great about providing detailed cost quotes and are understanding that most pet-owners do have to take budgeting into account, rather than making you feel like if you need to ask the costs, that it means you don't love your animal enough. I'm very glad that a friend referred us to this practice, and wanted to leave a review to help people who are just trusting google to guide them.Edit: I think I got our vet's name mixed up! Been so focused on our cat that I just grabbed the name from an appointment email without pausing to check. Everyone there is awesome but I think I was talking about Kayla Miner above :)

Affectionately Cats saved our cats life. We came to them with an extremely sick cat and no idea as to what was wrong. Doctor Kessler and staff went above and beyond to figure out the issue and promptly went into a life saving surgery. Our cat is now back home healthy and happy thanks to these people. I couldn’t recommend them enough for all of your cats needs whether it’s just vaccines or a severe issue. Aside from their veterinarian expertise they’re extremely friendly and willing to answer any possible question you ask. Do your kitty a favor and make an appointment with Affectionately Cats.

I brought my two kittens in for neutering and affectionately cats took care of everything. Communication was easy, they answered all my questions, drop off and pick up was easy and my cats came out happy and healthy. No problems after the surgeries. I would highly recommend affectionately cats to anyone who needs good care.

Our cat has been a patient at Affectionately Cats for five years and it has been the best veterinarian practice we have used for any pet. They are knowledgeable, thorough, thoughtful, easy to reach and responsive. Our kitty has had excellent care and has also enjoyed boarding in their beautiful facility while we were on vacation. I highly recommend this feline veterinary practice.

For a feline-specific vet, they missed a very common, basic feline-specific condition, multiple times. My cat has now been suffering needlessly with acute skin flare-ups. This place is 100% about the money and not about compassionate care. They see the dollar signs and not the family who’s paying them.

I've been bringing my cat, Harbor, to Affectionately Cats for about 9 years now and have always had a positive experience. We see Dr. Berger who has provided such great care to Harbor over the course of his life and I am especially grateful for her kindness, patience, and expertise as we navigate his senior years and a cancer diagnosis. We've had a lot of decisions to make over the last several months given Harbor's diagnosis. She always presents all the options, takes the time to answer my many questions, never makes me feel rushed or pressured to act in a certain way, and I feel comfortable with and confident in the care Harbor is receiving when he is there. I can't recommend Dr. Berger, or the team at Affectionately Cats, highly enough.

Very kind people that truly care about Cats. My cat was very well taken care of while boarding, even despite her rather advanced age. They offered me fantastic and thorough advice about keeping her in the best health as well. Moreover, they are very communicative and friendly! These are consummate professionals.

We are fairly new to the area and in the middle of a pandemic, one of our cats was not well and needed urgent medical attention. I had heard of Affectionately Cats from a neighbor so I looked them up and found they are a feline-only veterinary practice. Cats and only cats...perfect! From my first call to them, I knew I selected the right place for my boy. They were very caring, knowledgeable, compassionate and extremely calming (especially for this nervous fur-mama). They treated my boy with great care and kept us abreast the entire time of my cat's procedure. They really took the time to review and discuss my cat's health, his meds, new diet and the path forward. I'm happy to say my boy is now home, healthy and on the mend!

Not totally impressed. Arrived and dropped my kitten off in the morning. When I arrived and paperwork already filled out I was questioned about a study. There seemed to be a miscommunication twice during this brief interaction that my kitten is not to be part of a study and only spayed and microchipped. Later that evening my partner went to pick her up and was given the wrong cat and wrong carrier ( they look nothing alike). Not impressed at all with the lack of cat identification and confusion as to my name and which cat was mine. Although the rates are great they seem to need a better way to organize which patient is to what owner.

I can’t give enough stars for this place. My cat who is very anxious of people and travel love them. They treat my cat with love and truly care about him. They are very attentive. They send long email responses back to your questions, and always return your calls right back. I just found out my cat has diabetes and they are so supportive and helpful. They find the cheapest way to help you out. I live in St. Albans and I still travel to Williston to see them, if that tells you anything! Thank you guys again for all you do.
