A rather small campground, that’s a + and sites not terribly close together. I think it may have been opening weekend but we arrived on Thursday. On Friday more campers arrived and it was nice to know most of them were locals! Watched the Kentucky Derby on the TV on the covered patio and a really cool band came and performed 7-10pm. The owners were delightful and friendly and busy making everything perfect for their summer visitors. Would definitely stay again.Nearby activities: Too numerous to mention all, Rock of Ages visitor center/mfg plant/quarry, Hope Cemetery, Bragg Farm Sugarhouse, covered bridges, floating bridge.

An extremely beautiful campground with views that make just sitting outside enjoyable! The sights were long (we’re 43 ft long pulling a truck) and wide enough to accommodate slides on both sides. The facility is clean and well kept. A 1 mile walking path around a lake and it’s quiet and peaceful. It’s close to Stowe, Montpelier, Lake Champlain and other cool places. Lots to see and good places to eat. We’ve been all over the US and this is one of my top 5 campgrounds! The staff are kind and helpful. I highly recommend it!

We spent a weekend (2 nights) at Limehurst Lake Campground and found it nice and accommodating. Sadly the lake and beach area were closed off for swimming due to heavy rain and flooding, but kayaking and fishing were possible.Overall the campsite was great and clean. One building with facilities was newly renovated and features, besides bathrooms and showers, a laundry room. The only thing which could improve the shower experience would be some sort of board or seating area, like a folding or drop-down shelf, within the shower stall to make it easier to get dressed, especially in humid conditions :-). The second building with showers and bathrooms is older and is a rather "mobile" set-up. I recommend using the new facilities. One thing we were not used to, considering we are new to tent camping in the US, there are no electric hook-ups for tents or leanto-areas and no dish-washing station. This is certainly something which could be improved - especially, if you bring your own dishes and food and want to wash up before you go on.

Beautifusmall t campground with pond and .8 mile walking path We stayed in a premium site looking at pond, Off from the crowd. Concrete pad, paved patio, grill (clean) with fireplace. Good WI-FI. Verizon worked in park sketchy outside of park. . Owners (Lisa) very nice, grounds well maintained. Note premium sites MUCH different than regular site. See map.Small town not much to do. Montpelier with drive to see Capitol building. Bragg Farm Sugar House a must. Very cute country store with reasonable prices and great ice cream ( (maple chocolate swirl).

Stopped here in a multi day motorcycle ride… got a tent site on the water… nice grassy site, not totally level but it was ok. Friendly staff at check in, and later even brought my wood (excellent by the way) to the site in a golf cart. The bathroom I used was nice and clean. I’d stay here again if I was in the area.

We were here for 8 days and enjoyed our stay. Very well cared for grounds. The owners definitely take good care of their place. Lots were of a good size and we had no.problem parking our 34 foot RV and our jeep. Campground is lakeside and they tent kayaks, canoes and boats. The lake has a beach area. Cable TV, small camp store and a large patio with some events. The owners were extremely nice.Restrooms: New! 2 shower stalls, double vanity, very clean.Dog-friendliness: Dog friendly, please pick up your poo.Picnic area: Very nice and they have weekend events.

Our 2023 campground favorite! A lovely little spot tucked into the valley. Recent flooding meant we weren't able to swim in the pond, but we had plenty of fun swimming in the pool and fishing from the bridge—all 3 of our kids caught fish! Rick and Andrea were very pleasant and Rick jumped into action when we discovered a blockage in sewer hookup as we were getting ready to leave. Can't beat a waterfront site, nice dry wood, and friendly seasonal neighbors. We've been to a few campgrounds where the seasonals look like they're going to rot straight into the ground or are covered in tchotchkes, but these were well-maintained and not over-the-top. Definitely going into our regular rotation, especially considering its proximity to Norwich University, my husband's alma mater.Nearby activities: Hiking from the Shaw Outdoor Center, maple creemees at LegendairyNoteworthy details: Waterfront sites!

This was one of the worst RV camping experiences I have had in my entire life. The people at limehurst lake campground. We're not only incompetent, unhelpful and negligent, but they were rude, mean and completely insensitive.I don't think what we were looking for was too much to ask. Two nights camping in the woods and beautiful Vermont. However, the staff in particular the manager who I'm guessing is involved in the ownership was horrible. It seems like she's more interested in putting people down then running a business! The rooms are small. The campsites are crowded and dirty. The bathrooms are not clean. The shower didn't work even after we paid for it and at 5 minutes past 11:00 they were demanding we get out. Even though we were requesting to book for a second night and that they had told us we could book for his second night. Do not trust this place. If we had not had small children around I would have argued more to get a refund but they were swearing and literally said my 5-year-old had resting b*** face.Never going back. I only hope everybody else does the same.By the way, we found a great campground down the road after limehurst canceled on us.DONT GO HERE

My family and I had a great time here. The interactions we had with the staff was great. They are friendly people and easy to deal with. The campground was clean and quiet the whole time we were here. I do not know if I will ever be back in the part of Vermont, but if I am, I plan to come back here.

It was beautiful area...just a little tight turn getting on to the road that leads to campground. You go through a mobile home park so drive slow because there are kids sometimes playing on the road. Williamstown has a cute pub that has some good food and trivia night, live music or if you want to bring your friends to play cards. The ice cream shop in that town is a must! The best maple soft serve and then multiple flavors for their homemade ice cream. Berlin is 20 min away and has a Walmart, Kohls, Applebee's and Hobby Lobby.Safety: Felt safe. During the week it's a quiet place. We worked weekends or went out of town on the weekend so I am not to sure about it then. We were there 13 weeks and had no safety issues. Didn't hear of anyone else having safety issues.Walkability: You can take a beautiful walk around the small lake. It was about 3/4 of a mile. They have poopy bags on the trial. You can also rent canoes, paddleboat. Can go swimming in the large salt water pool.Food & drinks: They have a small store there with some snacks and fishing and camping stuff. During the day they have ice cream, breakfast tacos and coffee. Weekends they some extra items.Noteworthy details: The owners and staff were great! The best experience we have had.Personable, helpful and easy going. They have fun stuff planned almost every weekend too!

Sweet spot for a relaxing end of season camp. Owners are so very nice. Camp store is well stocked and has made to order food counter. Kids enjoyed chicken fingers, fries and fried mozzarella sticks. There are upgrades and improvements every year. It's a gem!Restrooms: Depot bathrooms are newly renovated. So Beautiful & Clean. Love the tongue & groove wood paneling.Dog-friendliness: Nice wooded trail that goes around the whole lake. Off leash area too.

Limehurst Lake Campground is a small, family run campground that has been a local favorite for years. It had run down a bit over time but the new owners are working hard to make it a stellar location. They've built several new buildings that include the office and store, gathering place, bathrooms and laundry. This summer they opened a new pool. There's also a beach area for swimming in the lake. They have decent sized campsites available for the largest RVs. While most are back in spots, they are easily accessible. Cell service is poor but the great wifi makes up for it. The owners are extremely friendly and provide services I would expect at a more expensive premium RV Resort. The only suggestion I have would be to add some dog "poopy stations" around the campground.Overall, a nice campground. Would stay again if we are back in this area.

The new owners are working hard to turn this campground into a state of the art RV park. The bathrooms are shiny clean and new. The salt water pool is heated and beautiful with comfy lounges. Sites are roomy and have views of the pond.

We love this campground! We traveled traveled with friends of ours from CT to twice in 2021, for Memorial Day and July 4th and had the best time! We met so many wonderful people, the owners, Rick & Andrea are pretty awesome. There are very clean camping sites, clean bathroom/shower facilities and Rick & "helpers" make THE BEST Breakfast sandwiches! The Pool was clean (brand new), there's a walking path or bike path to use that goes around the huge lake, a swimming area, bonfires, music, bingo, and crafts for both adults & kids. We are "Glam" tent campers but still booked a site with water/electric. We are already booked for 2022 & can't wait to go back!

Tucked away in a tiny valley, this gem hides itself with trees and mountains. I found the RV lot we stayed in to be quite spacious. The pool is lovely though it was closed for the season by the time we arrived. The lake has a beach as well as a dock for the boats that are available. The Office/Store has a plethora of items for both RV needs and edibles. If you are towing a vehicle and plan on sighting the area, you are provided with a card key for the gate so that you can access to the park once you return.

Great Pool, Very Nice Owners!!! Clean showers and bathrooms, they have decent entertainment and activities for the kids. The only down fall is it's usually booked solid! Little camps are worth the $$ if you don't have a camper or like to tent! Beautiful and private. We love it! They have the small lake, kayaks and paddle boats available as well as a playground for the kids. Fishing is catch and release and they have some beautiful private tent sites 💖

This is a very nice campground and one of the many things that make it nice are the owners Rick and Andrea. Can not say enough. They are very nice and friendly people. They make you feel welcomed and very accommodating. Campground is well kept and very clean. View of lake is beautiful. My husband and I love camping here.

We had a wonderful time at the campground. It was absolutely beautiful! The owners were very friendly, we met really nice people there, they have a nice lake with a trail that surrounds the lake, and a fenced in play area for the dogs. It was very relaxing, comfortable, and beautiful.

Nice campground. Owners Rick and Andrea are wonderful people. The place has a nice pond and I believe every site has at least a water view. Nice walking trails and live music on weekends. Facilities are well kept, too. Enjoyed staying there. Thank you Rick and Andrea!

We stayed two nights at this beautiful campground. Quiet and peaceful by a lake, clean and really well looked after by the dedicated and friendly owners Andrea and Rick. We had a pitch right on the lakeside. Bathrooms are immaculate, great store with snacks and everything one might need. Even a warming bonfire at night for all the campers to gather around. Recommend this site to anyone seeking quiet and tranquility and an interesting region to visit.

Limehurst’s campground is simply the best! My husband and I travel over an hour to be there. ( even for just a two night stay and do often even though there are parks closer) We have been repeat customers for five years now. Only time we don’t camp there is for our yearly week visit to meet our in-laws mid way from Indiana! The grounds are always clean, the beauty of the place is so peaceful and relaxing. Prior to our first visit there other camp grounds can’t compare to the beauty of this place. The owners go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcomed. It’s a place we feel right at home! There price is compatible and they don’t squawk about visitors they do charge a small fee for visiting quest but so don’t every other place I’ve been to. (They have liability and insurance to deal with) as for the owners I can’t say enough good for these people. Fellow campers get help with all their camping needs. I’ve even seen one of the owners Rick help with repairs. Both owners keep this place safe, beautiful and welcoming. My husband and I both look forward to many years of returning.

This is our first time really camping. We bought a used 1997 fifth wheel camper and we were lucky enough to be able to set it up at Limehurst. The new owners are awesome and they have done many upgrades and continue to work hard. We are so happy to be there, I only wish we could be there more often. Thanks Rick and Andrea for making our first camping experience a great one! I would highly recommend checking it out!

Excellent customer service, friendly staff, large lots & remodeled bathroom contribute to this five star rating. In addition, during our stay in early August, they had a band “C Fits” who were as good as any tribute band for the songs in the 80s!

Visited for the first time and will definitely go back! The owners were extremely friendly and accommodating. Very clean, well maintained sites. There's a small beach area and play structure for the kids as well as a little game room. The bathrooms are super clean and showers 0.25 for 5 minutes with good pressure. If you enjoy the smaller campgrounds with little traffic throughout you will enjoy your stay here.

Wonderful family run campground. Rick and his girls were very friendly and professional. The sites are clean and spacious. The showers were hot and water pressure strong. The lake was refreshing. I HIGHLY recommend Limehurst for a great camping destination.

Small campground that you will feel at home in. There is a lake and surrounding hills and trees. Nice walk around the lake. A good spot to reach many points of interest in central Vermont. A beautiful drive in any direction.

This is a very well kept, lovely campground. Wonderful little store with anything you may have forgotten at home. Plenty of amenities to keep all of your family entertained. Our site was directly across from the lake, so we enjoyed the view immensely. My only complaint is the lack of privacy in-between the sites. If you don't mind being neighborly than this should be your next stop! We would definitely visit again.

07/12/18 for 3 nights. A hidden gem. Rick, his wife and daughter were very pleasant and helpful. When we arrived at a trailer park entrance we said, "Oh no!" but in the back was this separate, quiet, quaint campground. After registering, Rick drove down and assisted us with backing into our site. Our grass site was right on the beautiful lake with soft needle pines as shade. There was plenty of room between sites. Firewood was delivered right to our site and WiFi was some of the fastest I have encountered while camping. Very nice swimming area and a 1 mile lake trail. Every morning Rick was detailing the beach area and grounds. Bathrooms were very clean, plenty of hot water and good pressure. They also discussed some of the facility improvements they planned for the near future. Have already told others of this place on our six week camping trip through New England. Would definitely visit again!
