My room was nice. Pretty close to the airport, convenient to the Interstate. Breakfast was good. I totally mixed this hotel up with another one I’ve stayed in recently, so thanks to the owner for bringing it to my attention so I could fix my review, especially since the hotel I confused this one for isn’t even in Vermont.Walkability: Easy walk to McD’s and the gas station.

Stayed her for an overnight after a hockey game. Comfortable, clean rooms and the staff is really friendly! At check in they even gave my kids a snack bag! The free breakfast is great. A great, reasonable place to stay and perfectly located at White River junction.Rooms: Clean and comfy, all the amenities

The hotel is conveniently located to where we like to visit in Vermont and is reasonably priced, that is why we stay here. Dan, at the front desk, was awesome. Staff were terrific. We had a light blow out over the sink and it was replaced promptly. Front lobby looked clean and neat. However, the place needs some love. The toilet was running alot (rm 209) and needs a new flapper, I think. The fridge was very noisy. The toilet roll holder was broken so toilet roll would fly off if you did not hold end. The bathroom vent was not working. The inside bathroom door was marred. Sink drained very slowly. The inside security door lock was missing half so not usable. The duvet had dirty spots and I noticed that one pillow had sweat stains. There was a strange smell in the room, near the sink, and I can only think that the rug needs cleaning? (They do allow pets so be forewarned if you have allergies.) Could of had more towels in room. The bed was very comfortable, though. And the AC unit worked well. Shower had good water pressure and was a good temp. Breakfast was not bad, decent selection. The fitness room has a bunch of equipment that did not work (treadmill not working, bike's display not working) and there is no AC or heating unit in that room. The pool is out of service.Note: there is a US postal service sorting facility right next door so depending on where your room is, you will hear trucks throughout the night.

Everything about this place is first rate! From the cleanliness of the rooms to the hotel staff, you'll be pleasantly pleased! The rooms come fully equipped with microwaves and refrigerators! There is a city bus that runs hourly to the VA center down the road plus an intercity bus terminal with direct service to Boston, Albany, and Montreal across the street (without the normal negatives associated with such services) There is a Chinese buffet and a full Wawa style shop located across the street! The staff makes a full breakfast (including Omelettes and Pumpkin Spice Waffles) available starting at 530 in the morning! You will be assured to get a very restful night's sleep over there!

Location is great, there’s 2-3 employees that are great. Barbara is phenomenal, professional and goes above and beyond, if it wasn’t for her service would not even be a star. As far as the building, the hotel is very outdated since the owner who also owns the super 8 around the corner hasn’t done any updates since it was built. First floor rooms are very musky as the carpets are alwaysss damp due to condensation which leaves them completely filthy. Also keep in mind this is a pet friendly hotel (cats too) so let that sink in. Housekeepers don’t do a great job cleaning as there was clumps of hair balls next to the beds and the fridge. You have to ask for towels everyday if staying more than one nite. The pool is shut down and used for storing mattresses because they’re too lazy to maintain it. Also beware HK will accuse you of stealing obsolete items and when asked what was taken and where the manager was no one was around or knew anything. Management is very unprofessional 100% left her clueless front desk person to do her dirty work while she lays up in RM 301 for weeks recovering from surgery 😂

This is a clean, but somewhat dated hotel. The carpets need a major upgrade. I have read some of the reviews and can say we had none of the problems the negative posters had. Our room had a king sized bed, a microwave, and one of those little coffee pod with coffee and tea (not a Keurig). There was a big closet with an iron and ironing board. There was also a desk. The WiFi kept kicking me off, which was irritating. The breakfast was good. The first day there was eggs and bacon. The second day they had cheese omelets and sausage links. There were English muffins, blueberry muffins, cereal and oatmeal. It's a little far from where we were going (Okemo) so I don't think we'll be staying here anytime soon. BTW there is a Chinese food place located just off the hotel property and their food is great. There is also a McDonald's close by.

Front desk was helpful and very kind. The breakfast crew was working hard with the huge group that came through. The room was NOT worth the price. I'd suggest going through a third party, prepay, and try for a better price. We only reserved the room and still paid over $200. At least there was hot waterRooms: Very moldy bathroom. No fan in the bathroom. Very outdated furniture and television.

Perfectly fine for a low cost nights sleep, shower and breakfast. However maintenance and upgrades of the buildings interior, exterior and grounds don't seem to be in the budget. Some of the mattresses seem old and worn and probably should be replaced. Pools are permanently closed as well. With the breakfast room reopened there has been improvements in this area.

This was a one night emergency stop. The staff were friendly and sympathetic which was greatly appreciated but as it said, it was indeed "a no frills hotel" and it was quit unkempt. I've spent less on 3 day vacations. I likely wouldn't stay here on a planned trip but nonetheless they are doing their jobs and we were so grateful for a few hours rest and a cup of coffee ☕️

This place is a great stay. Rooms have always been clean with the basic amenities (mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, etc). Staff has been very friendly and accommodating. There's free continental breakfast and rooms are quiet for good sleep. Location is close to Dartmouth college and Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical center (10-15 min drive).

Clean rooms, convenient location, available staff. The water temperature of my shower fluctuated a little bit after 15 minutes, I'd imagine this would not be a problem for most people. I would happily stay here again.Food & drinks: The room includes access to a small complimentary breakfast. Coffee, juice, cereal, fruit.

We stayed one night at the Comfort Inn in White River Junction with our dog. Staff was friendly at check in and the room was clean and spacious. Bathroom was clean with plenty of hot water and beds were comfortable. The location is convenient right off the interstate and a short drive to Quechee Gorge where we were headed next. Breakfast in the morning was minimal, but it was a nice snack before getting something more substantial later in the morning. Overall, a nice stay and I would probably stay here again if in the area, especially if traveling with a dog.

Before booking the hotel I looked at the reviews while there were some red flags such as dirty, strange odor, and rude employees. I seen management replied to them assuming they addressed the issue. Not the case, place was awful had a weird musty oder even more so in the rooms. Dust and stains all over the room, and the vent above the shower looked like it has never been cleaned. To the point I debated just driving home to avoid staying in the room, which was the reason I booked the room in the first place. Place is obviously neglected, would definitely never stay again especially at $100+ a night.

When we went in to get our room key and confirm our reservation we found out that the elevator was out of service for the weekend. We were told that our too. Was on the fourth floor so we would have to walk up four flights of stairs to get to our room. The woman at the front desk then was nice and as accommodating as she could be. While figuring out our options we walked around the lobby and I noticed that the breakfast area was not very clean with garbage still full and food still on the floor. Not the best impression so far. We left after getting our rooms keys and explored the area for a few hours. When we came back we were trying to figure out where the stairs were to get to our room and the new person behind the front desk was very short and sounded aggravated as she gave us the directions. The room itself was clean and neat and we had no further issues for the rest of our stay. Not one of the best hotel experiences we have had.

i have never been so disappointment. After a long drive, battling icy roads and snow squalls I walked into our room at the hotel. The carpets were sticky, the wallpaper was rippling off the wall. The furniture had food stuck to it and the mold and mildew made my skin crawl andstarted a headache that took hours to get rid of. I walked back out, checked out and was handed a $95.00 bill for the three minutes Iwas in the room that it took us to leave. The rest of the building had trash strewn over the place. The staff was friendly and kind, even understanding. What an absolutely disturbing way to start a weeklong stay in WRJ. I have stayed in the Comfort Inn in St. Johnsbury, we have always had great experiences there. This place owes me and anyone else who bothers to think about staying there an apology. What a dreadful waste of time.

Room I rented has a flat screen TV, fridge, microwave & coffee maker & is super clean. Front desk staff were nice & check in was a snap. Bed is comfortable. Bathroom had all the supplies I needed but it has a shower/tub combo instead of the walk in shower I prefer. Again, I'd rather not bathe in my own filth lol. Hotel also has a fitness room, saltwater indoor pool & laundry facilities. And of course vending machines. Free hot breakfast is also available. Local transit buses via Advance Transit & Greyhound buses are available across the street. I've stayed here twice before & definitely would again.

Too many housekeeping, repair, and maintenance problems. Days 2, 4, and 5 of my 8 night stay the housekeeping staff missed cleaning my room, although I was out of the room by 9am and had removed the do not disturb sign from the door. Night 6 I was awakened by the elevator emergency alarm when the door stuck open on my floor, and staff didn't seem able to disable the alarm which continued through the night. (Thank you to the manager for crediting my account for the night of the unending elevator alarm.) Room condition was substandard. Carpet stained and sticky, desperately needs replacement. AC unit vents were filthy and need cleaning. Room phone disabled. Bathroom has vent but no fan, humidity after shower was uncomfortable and AC did not help. An 18" towel bar in bathroom is not sufficient, there's nowhere to hang a robe or bath bag. Hotel management needs to step up, address housekeeping personnel, repair, and maintenance issues. There were a few bright spots - the front desk staff did their best to fix problems, and the kitchen staff prepared a good breakfast each morning and kept the breakfast area clean.

Dirty, dark, old...needs major updates. The pool area was he worst. The pool it self was cold, green, and cloudy. We couldn't bring ourselves to even use it. there was garbage oozing out from under the trash can in the pool area, and the towels weren't even big enough to be considered bath size.Overall, the hall ways are dimly lit, the carpet old and not vacuumed well.We chose this hotel for it's reputation. We have stayed in many Comfort Inns and Suites in the past and figured this was our best bet in the area. If this is the new standard for the chain, we will never stay in one again.

Staff is great tho I only gave it one star to be able to leave a review. As soon as we walked in the lobby we noticed a stale smell and our room smelled like mold and cigarettes! Seems like there is a moisture issue as we noticed a lot of rust on stuff. If it hadn't been for the fact that we got in at midnight we would have tried for a different place.

Terrible. The place is so dirty it was amazing. The vents in the bedroom a/c were filthy. The lobby floor and elevator floors were filthy and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years. Carpeting in the bedroom needs to be cleaned. The TV in the workout facility did not work. The machines were old, cables stick so you can't use them. The smells and odors in this place is like bad food. Management and Customer Service need to pay attention, clean it up, listen to their customers, and take an interest in providing a clean, comfortable place to stay. Won't go back.
