I really liked this store. Stopped there on my way to Newbury. Store manager was very helpful and friendly. Like many Vermont General Stores it was a diamond in the rough.Rough time walking out...I was carrying out so much food to eat in the car that I almost tripped down the stairs. (Because I was very hungry no doubt.))

Coffee was terrible, lady at the checkout had zero personality. The guy behind the deli was nice though. Very talkative. But with the expensive products. With very poor quality like the awful coffee. Mixed with the checkout lady not wanting to be there and can’t even say, “ thank you, have a nice day” I had to give it a low rating. Also, the coffee was not a fluke, I stopped in a second time because it was my only choice and it was awful again. I think they brew it in the morning and just let it sit around till it sells. Maybe it was made the day before even. Who knows, that’s how bad it was.

Nice little shop that provides just about any necessity. From household items like toothbrushes, to soap and bug sprays...to wine, beer, and other spirits; there's little else you'll need.The best part of this store is the fresh deli sandwiches made by clerk in the kitchen area. Whether for breakfast or lunch, you're getting a hand-made sandwich. Hot egg ham and cheese or cold cut, this is THE place to go. There's a tall guy, peppery color hair who makes excellent food and is great to talk to. This place made me feel local.This general store also has a gas pump for a quick fill-up. Make sure to stop by on your way up through town or state.
