We love The Paw House! It is great to be able to travel with our dog and she loves the play yard and being with us. The rooms are very cozy, warm, and comfortable. The breakfasts are amazing! The service is the best - friendly, welcoming, and extremely helpful. There are many hiking trails and great restaurants in the area, too. We will be back!

This was our second stay as we travel with the family dog. Very happy with cleanliness, wonderful breakfast made to order, use of facilities (kitchenette, dog kennel, dog play-yard, dog washing facilities, etc). On arriving for our second annual visit, Chevy got very excited and knew exactly where he was. We will plan to stay here again, and do recommend it to our friends travelling with dogs.Noteworthy details: This is the place to stay if you're travelling with a dog and want to be comfortable and well looked after.

We had a wonderful stay. It was great to be able to leave our dog in good hands during the day so we could ski the nearby mountains. Our room was super cozy and the staff is exceptionally friendly. I'd say my favorite part was breakfast. Not only is the food delicious, but we were able to enjoy it in the company of our dog together with the other guests at the inn and their dogs.

Wonderful experience! Max and I love going to breakfast together and meeting with other guests both human and canine. He loves the dog bed in the room which save me from having to carry a bed. Max LOVES running in the dog park, so he looks forward to the time spent in the kennel house sleeping. Human beds are comfortable too. This is the second time we have visited and we are planning a third.

We had an amazing time visiting Vermont and staying at The Paw House. We were lucky enough to get a last minute reservation to enjoy a weekend skiing at Pico. It was great to receive pictures of our dog getting to play with the other dogs and enjoy some quality time with the staff at The Paw House Inn while we were on the mountain. Breakfast both mornings was great and it was so fun getting to know the other guests and their dogs. Highly recommend visiting The Paw House Inn and we will certainly be coming back for many years. Thanks again!Nearby activities: Great recommendations for location spots in Rutland to visit for food and drink

We had been planning our visit to VT for the solar eclipse since 2023 and I'm so happy I stumbled on an ad for the Paw House Inn. We always include our dog in our travel adventures, but this place was a rare find! It is SO dog-centric, with your dogs name on your door, it's own run in the kennel, a huge off lease play area, the very dog-clectic decor and MANY other dog friendly amenities. Mitch and his staff were beyond welcoming. Our room, The Chase, was comfy for both us and our dog (although I would highly recommend only choosing this room if your dog is comfortable climbing the old fashioned steep stairs). The breakfast room was our favorite feature, with dogs not only welcomed but expected! Our dog could not wait to get there in the morning to visit her friends! The breakfast omelets were wonderful and Emily and her staff were so friendly and accommodating. Our dog Ember says "I give the Paw House Inn 4 out of 4 paws! Hey guys, save me some treatos, we'll be back!!"

Odie and his humans had a great time. We live in a country setting, so being able sniff around the perimeter of the property and smell new things was great. The room was very comfortable and the private entrance with a keypad was accomodating while holding a leash. The dog motif is a great little touch too. Breakfast was good and the staff was very attentive and willing to please.Odie checked out the kennels but didn't stay there as all out activities were inclusive of the dog. We can't wait to come back in the summer.

As I am a travel lover, and my Jax is a rescue who had a *very* difficult life before I rescued him at 5 years old, it’s extremely important to me to balance my travel wishes with his needs. When I found the Paw House Inn through an extensive google search, I knew I found the place for us. Jax was happy, comfortable, confident, and felt very much at home in the coziness of the Inn. All of his needs were accounted for. He enjoyed the vast property and the different activities he could try in the dog park. All of the staff was so kind and understanding
. Truly consummate canine professionals. He felt like he was home with friends and family.Truthfully, I did too! I was greeted constantly with friendliness, lovely breakfasts, plenty of tea, and all of the comforts of home. It felt like staying at a good friend’s house who just happened to be a dog lover!Jax was so happy it took me at least an hour to get him to leave the hotel, and get into the car, as he was so upset to leave he laid in the grass and wouldn’t get up. I don’t blame him whatsoever though!Like I promised Jax, we will be back again and recommending the Inn to all of our dog parent friends!

A must stop if you’re traveling in the area. My dogs and I loved our stay at the Paw House Inn. The accommodations for both dogs and humans were perfect. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. The staff was so friendly. Breakfast every morning was tasty. While I was out during the day, my dogs were taken out for walks and I received text updates on them. The Inn is a close drive to Killington, Okemo, and Pico. I highly recommend the Inn and can’t wait to go back.Rooms: Spacious and comfortableNearby activities: Killington, Okemo and pico are within 30 minutesFood & drinks: Breakfast was delicious! Also, the restaurant in the area are very good. The Inn gives a list of recommendations upon arrivalNoteworthy details: Each room has a had made dog bed. Each dog has a specific place to stay while their humans were away

Where do I even begin!!! I booked this hidden gem out on a whim. I needed to get a way and needed somewhere I could bring my Leo. I’m so happy I found this place. Check in and check out were super easy. They have a dog park and doggie daycare. Lots of land to walk around with beautiful art sculptures. I had a very spacious king room which was decorated so nicely and super clean, comfortable! There was a private balcony where Leo and I watched the sunset with hot chocolate! There’s tons of restaurants nearby you can either go out to or that will deliver. They did a wonderful job listing so many suggestions! I had Emily show me around when I arrived and she was absolutely an angel! Answered all my questions and gave me so many recommendations. She made us waffles and an omelette in the morning the next day! Jeff was also a sweetheart! I believe he was the one who helped me book my reservation. He was very helpful and understanding. Both of them just loved on Leo and made us feel so welcomed! We will definitely be coming back in the summer time!!! Cannot wait! Thank yall so much again for everything!

I can’t say enough about The Paw House Inn! My “family” (which includes 2 dogs & 5 humans) stayed there this past weekend. The owners and staff are absolutely amazing! We have chosen this place as the ONLY place we’ll stay at in Vermont! We have stayed here quite a few times and have never been disappointed in any way! This last visit, however, was the icing on the cake! We experienced an issue with our rental vehicle, the day before our check-out day. I mentioned this during a casual conversation with Mitch, the owner. To my amazement and surprise, without even a second thought, he offered to let us extend our stay an extra night, if we could not work out the issue with our rental! Fortunately, we were able to work the issue out with the rental vehicle and did not need the extra night. This generosity has only added to our love and praise for THE PAW HOUSE INN! The owners and staff really care about their guests and their fur babies. This is apparent in the accommodations, breakfasts and atmosphere! Highly recommend this place!

This is a review written by the DOG - Sophie. I had a wonderful time staying at the Paw House Inn, as did my humans. I have travelled with my humans on many trips, but this was the first time that I was treated as a VID😊. In my previous travels, upon arrival I have never seen any welcome sign to my room with my name, nor handmade treats, nor my own special bed, nor my own towels, nor my own bed sheets. This place had it all. Everywhere I went, I saw nothing but “Dogs welcome, human tolerated” signs, which made me smile so much! The Dog Park is huge, I never enjoyed running so much in my life. There I met other VIDs and had so much fun. At Mario’s Playhouse, a large kennel was reserved just for me for the stay, it is nice and clean if I needed it. Luckily, my humans took me everywhere with them, so I did not get to use it. The best part of the day was breakfast at the Inn, they let me stay in the dining room, and I was free to beg from my humans. Eventually they always gave in, and I got to taste the delicious waffles and egg omelette that everyone brags about. This is a very welcoming and comfortable Inn, and I loved the friendly staff. I will be sure to bring my humans back for another visit real soon!!

If you're looking for somewhere to stay with your dogs in Rutland this is the place. Everything they do is about the dogs. From the rooms being dog friendly, to the play yard and kennels where you can leave the dogs if you choose to go on an adventure without them they have you covered. The breakfasts are awesome and everyone is so friendly and helpful. They definitely make you and your dogs feel welcome.

I cannot speak highly enough about The Paw House Inn! My review is LONG overdue, as we stayed here about a year ago. As you can see in the photo, my dogs loved it too! The inn was so cozy and accommodating, and my dogs had such a fun time playing with the other dogs in the dog park! It was also great being able to leave them in the climate-controlled kennel while we stepped out for activities or meals. We will definitely be back!

Love this place. We have 2 OLD ENGLISH SHEEPDOGS. It was truly the dogs bringing the human to an inn. They were so accommodating, rooms are beautiful and huge. Our dogs had a great time. We needed to step out without the dogs. They have a daycare and playground for the dogs. We felt so relaxed knowing our dogs were in safe hands. The next morning, breakfast was delicious. We will be staying again. Highly recommend. Thank you, PAW HOUSE INN.

This was our first time visiting this place. We learnt about it from a Facebook group and we are so glad we did. The dog park is huge and well kept. My dog could stay there the whole day if we allowed, haha. We just came to our room to sleep but mostly we were out doing dog friendly stuff. It’s great that they allow dogs during breakfast. This was a good practice for our dog in a distracted place but we were surprised that he behaved so well. The sweet omelette during breakfast was excellent. The room was efficient and beautiful and worth the price we paid for. Do carry bug spray because we got lots of mosquito bites. We tried the lake house restaurant suggested by Paw house which was so beautiful. We also went to Woodstock and Killington, also suggested by Paw house which was beautiful too. Tried local maple and cheese at Sugarbush farm which was great.I am giving 4 stars because of 2 reasons - We tried to keep our dog in Mario’s playhouse but we found multiple caterpillars moving around (could be due to the rain) there which prevented us from keeping him there. We also found spider webs on the corners where our dog was assigned to. Due to these reasons, we mostly took our dog everywhere we went and avoided keeping him in the playhouse. Our second reason was lack of plates or spoons in the kitchen area. We had got some leftovers in our room and wanted to heat them for dinner but we found only 2 plates and no spoons or forks. We needed more plates but didn’t find any.

First time staying at the Paw House Inn and we weren't disappointed. Mack and Willow had a great time at the Inn, property, and surrounding amenities. Nice little weekend getaway for everyone! đŸŸđŸ’›Rooms: Rooms were clean, comfortable, appointed with temperature control and AC and their own bathroom!Nearby activities: Very close to downtown Rutland that boasts many pet friendly patio dining options!Food & drinks: There are local brewpubs in Rutland if craft beer is your thing - pet friendly outdoor seating and on-street parking wasn't an issue.Noteworthy details: Dog park and playhouse on site were clean and well-kept. Other dogs also traveling were friendly and well mannered.

Definitely the best pet friendly place we have found so far. We are already talking about a return stay for next summer. Dog park just outside. An art park right next door that makes for a nice small walk. They make you breakfast in the morning. Their house special omelet is a must have at least once during your stay!! The staff and owner are very helpful and willing to help find local pet friendly activities or anything else you may be interested in.

If you are reading through these reviews before staying at the Paw House Inn our family can confirm all these fantastic reviews are true. We had such an amazing experience from the first call. Mitch was extremely helpful advising us on the best room for us, answering any questions we had and not putting any pressure on booking. Our family (husband, myself, 2 fur children and 2 human children) had an amazing time and felt welcome like it was our own home all week. Stephanie, Mitch, Drew and everyone we met were as kind as can be. Breakfast was delicious and although there are plenty of restaurants nearby, we would recommend breakfast each morning at the Paw House Inn. (The house special omelet was the best omelet we've ever had.)The dog centric nature of the Paw House Inn made traveling with our furry family members a breeze. Especially having the heated self-service kennels for convenience when we had to run out for dinner or somewhere we couldn't bring the dogs with.Overall, we just loved staying at the Paw House Inn. You and your furry friends will not be disappointed. The Cray Family thanks you for your hospitality and kindness!

Just visited with my husband and my dog EsmĂ©. We had a great stay at the Paw house inn! We stayed a Brooklyn’s bungalow- one of the tiny homes in the back. It was a great size and super clean. It was very private and had everything you needed. We loved the little fenced-in deck space too. The location of the inn was conveniently located near many local restaurants and activities. The park was perfect for my pup to make friends and get out some energy. All and all, I will be recommending this place to my dog-lover friends :).

If I could give 10 stars I would! We discovered The Paw House Inn about 8 years ago. Since then we have come back almost every year! This most recent stay, we were upgraded to the cottage! It’s adorable and cozy! It’s so clean and our older dog loved the trundle bed! We love that we can take them to breakfast with us in the morning and that there is so much for them to do in the dog park! The staff is so friendly and kind and makes everyone feel like family while they are there! That is the main reason we keep coming back! Thanks Mitch and the Pack!

Words can’t even begin to express how amazing this stay was! Right from the booking, my partner and I were treated with such kindness. The owners were very flexible and kind about us arriving a little late. The inn is so cute. This place is perfect for dogs! My pug loved his entire stay and especially loved playing with Stanley. Dogs have plenty of space to run around outside and the views are incredible. The breakfast was delicious and the staff always made us feel so welcome. The rooms were clean and cozy as well. There’s plenty of dog friendly places to go to and the staff was great about letting us know about places we can visit. We also appreciated the fact that we were allowed privacy but if we needed anything the owners were a call/text away. We will definitely be back and the experience has further convinced us to consider moving to Vermont. Thank you so much for having us!!
