We showed up on a Friday night in October without a reservation and were told we would be seated very quickly however we ended up waiting over 30 minutes and other people that came after us were seated before us. If we would have known how long the wait was, we probably would have gone elsewhere as we had our toddler with us.Eventually we were seated and got our food order in immediately. Food was delivered quickly. The food was also really good. We had the French onion burger (really good smashed double burger with caramelized onion), the risotto, roasted beet salad, kids hot dog and bbq chicken wings.There was also an acoustic guitarist which made for a nice atmosphere.I believe having one more server may have been helpful as the staff were very busy given the place was very busy. I would definitely recommend going here but try and go when it isn't busy.

Not only was the food and drink selection, unique and delicious. The service and hospitality from everyone was top-notch! We were able to speak to the owner, the chef and especially our favorite bartender, Jamie! We stopped to have a drink and app early in the afternoon and decided to go back later with our friends for dinner Because it was that good! And they raved about it as well! we all look forward to going back when we visit this summer!

The service was quick and great. The food tasted well. They had both American and Asian style food. It feels a little bit of fusion style. The sweet potato soup was good especially after a day on the mountain. We enjoyed the burgers which were very moist. We liked the fries the seasoning they added on fries were good. There was an issue with my burger but they handled it well and I don’t think this is something they wanted to happen anyways. They have a cute outdoor place with fire pit and in the front they also have a cafe area, which is very cute. I’d recommend this place for sure!

We had a wonderful experience at Trail 87. Mike was so welcoming and he and his staff were so very kind. The food was just fantastic. I highly recommend the Shorty Pie, my 11 yo girl fell in love with it and ate the whole thing! Their Drive-In burger was perfect and hit the spot after hitting the slopes. And I do recommend the Apple butter old fashioned, it is different but awesome nonetheless.Thank you, Mike. It was our absolute pleasure to dine with you.

Great ambiance and very delicious food. I ordered beyond meat veggie burger and house made fries! Seasoning on the fries was just perfect. Great service!In addition to this, the owner of the restaurant gave me some good suggestions for stargazing around the area- White Roads, Hogback Mountains. Overall a very good experience and a start of a wonderful gathering!

We just got home from a fantastic meal in a wonderful atmosphere— Trail 87 knocked it out of the park, and this isn’t the first time. Every time we’ve gone in the past few months we’ve been wowed! The staff couldn’t be kinder, and their love for their jobs shines through with the exceptional service we feel. I can’t recommend this Dover gem anymore. They’ve upped the culinary game in town and continue to feed us the latest and greatest new and unique flavors. Thank you Trail for continuing to show up. Your consistency in excellence is very appreciated.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT ATTENDING THIS RESTAURANT!!We arrived at the restaurant around 6 o’clock and we’re told we’d be seated in 20 minutes. after about an hour of waiting we finally got a table. once at the table we ordered immediately and all drank water. the only time we saw our waitress was to take our order and drop off the food and then the check. she did not refill our drinks once. we had to leave the table and ask other employees just so we could get some water. and then had to ask the bartender for the check because she still didn’t come back. she was nowhere to be found in the restaurant and did not serve any other tables. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!! I would understand if she was busy with other tables but she was not helping anyone else. Being inside the restaurant is a terrible energy and everyone is constantly complaing about service around you. the food was decent but very pricey for the portion you get.

Chef Tyler and his team run an incredible restaurant. Our ski group of around 30 were staying at Big Bears Lodge nearby and wanted something special to celebrate. Trail 87 was just the right place! Their focus on fresh and high-quality ingredients made for a tasty pumpkin risotto and a hearty Shorty Pie. Communication with the restaurant was prompt and clear and the food was ready for pickup at the pre-arranged time. They made everything simple for us! The food was a huge hit and I look forward to ordering here again next time.

We had a great summer dinner here in August. We started with Gochujang Buffalo chicken nuggs (which are really boneless chicken wings in a fantastic sauce) that were divine. They were perfectly crispy and flavorful. I had the Vermont cheddar burger with double smash patties that were great. I guess the only thing I would say is that I was pretty sure going in that smash burgers are always well done, but the waitress said it could be done to any level that I like. I ordered medium rare and they were well done, as are all smash burgers. Another person ordered the duck banh mi which was fantastic. The last member of our party had the Italian beef short rib baguette which was tender and flavorful. Overall, a great selection of entrees. The service was excellent. Pricing was appropriate in my opinion for the level of food and service. In summary, we all loved this place and will be back without a doubt.

My friends and I went to Trail 87 for the first time last night and had a fantastic dining experience. The service, food, and atmosphere were all excellent. Our food and drinks arrived quickly after we ordered and our servers were all very attentive. We had the baked salmon, sautéed shishito peppers, short rib (shorty pie), the Vermont coffee, hot totty, and great wine and beer as well. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a relaxing family-friendly restaurant to dine-in as if you were in your own home.Kid-friendliness: There were lots of young families dining-in while we were at Trail 87

Waited 45 minutes for a “20 minute wait” food was average and prices were high. We only saw our waitress 3 times, Once to take our order, again to drop the food off, and lastly to give us the check. Had to ask the bartender for water refills 2 times. After we were done eating we again had to ask the bartender for our check because we were sitting for over 30 minutes. Wanted to give it another chance and get dessert but our waitress never came back. subpar food, service, and atmosphere. If you are in VT for a trip and want to eat locally i’d go somewhere else.

We really enjoyed our meal here, they were rightly proud of their home cooked meals. We were looking for somewhere nearby to our hotel. We enjoyed the wings & French onion burger. A good selection of beers which was handy as we had walked. Great service too, especially once she understood our English humour. She gave us some good suggestions for things to do & see in the area.

Great newer place in the Mt Snow area. Menu is small but we ordered several things between 4 people and all were excellent. Wings were tasty, we tried their version of a buffalo which was light on heat but big on flavor. They had an Asian flavor in addition to buffalo. I had a beef sandwich which came with a side of au jus to dip it in. Extremely flavorful and fresh. The table split an order of fries that were seasoned very well, just be aware that they are very thin and many of them are crunchy because of this. We also split an order of house made chips as a side which were very good as well. Honestly we could have done one or the other for 4 people, they are very large baskets! Other things I didn't try but we're ordered at the table and I was told they were very good as well were the soup (I believe it was butternut squash), a burger, and a chicken salad. Again everything looked fresh and came with great reviews from the people that are it. Service was excellent, we sat outside at one of the tables on the side. Definitely give this place a try if you are in the area!

This place is great! It is small and intimate and the food is great. I had the French onion burger, and it was the best burger I have ever eaten! My husband had the chicken platter special and all of the components were delicious, he especially loved the homemade pickles! Our server was friendly and attentive. They also have outdoor seating, which is always a plus. I would definitely recommend eating here if you are anywhere near Dover, VT.
