This place was so cute! They had the restaurant on one side of the parking lot and a huge country store on the other. Parking didn't seem to be an issue, some spots facing building and a huge parking lot connected a little farther back.In the country store : Apple cider donuts(you can watch them making them!), all kinds of jams, tons of food items available, good amount of specialty Vermont items and souvenirs, there's also a room that explains how their apple cider is made(this is where you can try it!) Prices were affordable.The restaurant: You walk in and order up front before picking a table in their dining room area, the food is brought out to you when done.The cider flights are something worth trying! You pick four 4oz cider choices to try from a menu explaining each cider on a list. I was impressed it was only around $10. We really enjoyed everything here! It has a pretty neat vibe, the food was delicious, there was a decent amount of seating which I feel is kid and family friendly, they offer "half" & "full" sandwiches, prices in the normal range, small gift shop within

I was excited to kick off the fall season by visiting Cold Hollow Cider Mill on my road trip to Stowe Vermont! The cider mill was very quaint. I enjoyed shopping in their general store, finding lots of unique odds and ends. The cider making process was also interesting and fun to experience. I was slightly disappointed in their customer service. One of the reasons we stopped in was for their legendary donuts we had heard so much about. Unfortunately, even though we were willing to wait for a hot batch to be made, they insisted they could only sell what was immediately available. The cold donuts left us disappointed and uninspired. I threw half of mine away.

Went here for the Solar Eclipse. However, really enjoyed breakfast sandwich and maple flavored coffee roll. Enjoyed the homemade apple cider, cider Donuts, and friendly staff. The gift shop is amazing. Next time I visit Vermont I will definitely be back. It is worth the stop everyone!!!

This place was so cute!!They have two sections that you can go to.The first section was like a store. They had all types of goodies that were made with apple cider or that you can use for cooking. They made fresh apple cider donuts in house that were so good. Then in the back you can see them making fresh apple cider. I didn’t really know what to expect When people made apple cider but it made so much sense once I’ve seen it. I was so fascinated. They also had tastings of this cider which was SO GOOD.The next section was a little café. They sell food and drinks. They also had a bar which you can get hard apple cider tastings. I don’t drink apple cider that is spite, but my cousin did. I have a taste, and what I can say is that the cider was strong! It had great flavor, though.All of the employees were really kind to us when we were in the shops.This is definitely a must stop when you were in Vermont. The Cidermill is on the same road as the Cabot Creamery store and the Ben & Jerry’s store.

It was many years ago that I visited this place on a class trip. Hadn't been back for 30+ years. My girlfriend and I have been back here three times in the past 2 years. It's a must-visit when we're back in Vermont seeing family. Buy some fresh-made donuts and munch while you shop. Go to the tasting tank and sample what cider is supposed to taste like. If you're lucky you'll get to see the press in action at the viewing room. See y'all again in December 😉

Cold Hollow is one of our favorite places to visit in Vermont! It’s usually busy (especially in the fall) but 100% a do-not-miss! They have every Vermonty / Cidery / Mapley thing you might need or want and free cider samples in the back where you can learn all about how apple cider is made! They have good Creemees (maple flavored soft-serve) and amazing Apple Cider Slushies made fresh by some of the nicest people! Don’t skip the Apple Core Luncheonette across the parking lot!

Loved the Cold Hollow Cider Mill. Everything Vermont all in one place. We were able to find so many things we never knew we wanted. They also have a bakery where you can get the best cider donuts with a cup of maples flavored hot chocolate which was perfect for the cold weather we were experiencing. If you are in the area, definitely stop in and take a quick browse, I guarantee you will get something.

They have THE BEST APPLE CIDER DONUTS and apple cider drinks were awesome too- hot OR cold!!!! Ask for HOT donuts!!!The store has lots of items if you wanna shop. They also sell maple syrup.Very busy place but quick service. Highly recommended!

To be honest, it was probably a fault on our part to not have researched a little more but I was expecting a visit to Cold Hollow Cider Mill to be a little more experiential. It’s 100% self guided and it’s up to you what you do. There’s dining options and drinking options as well as shopping. Because we weren’t really sure what to expect we mainly walked around. We did check out the bar area where we ordered a flight of their alcoholic ciders and sat in their cozy lounge but there wasn’t much of an experience given by staff. What I do wish we’d done was buy more maple syrup because the little vial we bought was so delicious we drank it in one sitting! Overall, I’d return but with a better idea of an objective.

This is a fun place to stop, be prepared for crowds and have patience. The donuts are delicious, ours were hot and fresh! Their cider is filtered and more like apple wine IMO (compared to DownEast Ciders) but still worth doing the tasting flight. Lots of local jams, jellies, and other snacks for sale as well.

Stopped here for breakfast and to take a look at the shop/bakery. The breakfast sandwiches (we got them on cheddar biscuits) were delicious! Ended up changing our plans so we could come back the next (and last) morning as well. The shop also has a great view of some of the baking going on, as well as a lot of cute souvenirs to remember Vermont.

I've been coming here for years with my family when this place was much smaller with fewer tour busses. I had a friend visiting with me from the Chattanooga, TN area so my parents took us on our usual fall tour which included the cider mill. I was sorry they weren't pressing, but it was a Thursday, though the place was packed. The cider this year was exceptionally good so I bought some to take back with me. Service was ok, but they were so busy they were overwhelmed. I did get my free Yelp Elite donut, plus ordered 2 dozen moreUnfortunately, they were cold. So much better when they're warm! Anyway, one dozen stayed with my parents and the other made the trip back home where a quick pop on the toaster made them warm and crispy as if they were just out of the fryer! See ya next trip Cold Hollow!

A must for any visit to Stowe. Their cider is phenomenal. The country store and market is so cozy and inviting, just quintessential Vermont. Their new tasting room across the way has the a delicious menu for cider flights (choose any four) and lunch options. Make sure you grab something from their bakery. Their apple cobbler is one of my favorites, although not always offered in store. Wish you guys would come back to the Big E! It's not the same without you.

we were so excited to stop by and try these donuts that so many people raved about and we were quite disappointed. donuts were super dry and not even warm. apple cider was okay. the vibes were really nice and the store had lots of things you can purchase. staff was also super nice, but if you’re here for the donuts, I would NOT recommend.

We stumbled upon Cold Hallow on our way back from the Ben and Jerry’s factory and we were so happy we did! We first shopped and checked out the bakery across the way from the tasting room. We saw the old fashioned cider mill and tasted cider and perused the shop. We then walked across the parking lot and tasted hard ciders in the beautiful tasting room. The flight of ciders to taste was only $10 and they were very generous pours.

The lunch here was so good! Very nice atmosphere, quick service, and amazing fresh food. The shop is always fun to walk around and you can find all kinds of gifts and local items like jams, hot sauces, maple, mustards etc. Lots of great gifts for bakers and for the kitchen and other cute Vermont things. Plus of course the cider and the donuts are worth getting when you're there.

Spent the day hitting all the best spots in town because we were supposed to get a ton of rain, and it ended up being such a nice day. It was about an hour away from our AirBNB to get into Stowe and I fully believe that if we drove exclusively to enjoy the $3 donut ice cream sandwich that I picked this spot for that it would've been worth the drive just for that.Cold Hollow Cider Mill was a very unique general store feel, it had souvenirs and junk you'd expect to run I to on vaca trip, but it also had a honey section with a live and see through beehive to watch which was super cool, and of course the apple cider donuts and soft serve ice creams at the counter.Delicious and fun with a lot of interesting junk.

Honestly really disappointed with the food here - we went 30 min out of our way to stop here after reading amazing reviews, but were disappointed. The donuts were so dry, too dense, and lacked flavor - cinnamon sugar and some more spices in the donut would've made the flavor so much better. The cider was very average and again, lacked flavor and spices.

Their maple fudge is honestly the best fudge I have ever eaten and probably the most shockingly delicious sweet item I have ever put in my mouth. I also love their baked goods, especially the cheddar biscuits. Cold Hollow is reasonably priced (especially compared to Harry & David) and high quality, with quick shipping. Definitely recommend.

Great place to try vermont's finest cider donuts, warm and freshly made! Absolutely loved it. There is a store too where you can buy local products like honey, maple syrup and many more including kitchenware.You could also go for cider tasting, which is an experience of its own. There was outdoor seating too.

This trip is well worth it. The cider and donuts are unparalleled, and the staff is exceptionally friendly. In addition, they have a tasting room where you can sample their cider fresh from the tap, and during the summer, there are outdoor games to enjoy. There are plenty of things for the whole family to explore and enjoy

Im going to go ahead and say it… we’ve had better apple cider donuts. The hot cider was really good but I didn’t think the donuts themselves were all that great. We went in the middle of October and it was unbelievably packed, long lines, etc. probably wouldn’t come here again because of that and the wait being a bit of a let down in the end.

Located in beautiful Waterbury Center, VT, this place is worth the hype! Absolutely loved their freshly made cider donuts. The shop has tons of local goodies and gifts. If interested, they do have interesting documentary about how their cider came this far.

OMG! This place is a gem. If finally know the difference between apple juice vs apple cider. They have a free tasting area in the back so you can actually taste real apple cider. It's way better than normal apple juice. They also make cider donuts that are delicious and it's not covered with sugar. The store has so many gift items that are very local to VT. Super friendly staff also.

This came recommend from an instragram video I saw naming key must-visit locations in Vermont, specifically in the Stowe area.The best part of the visit is the intense aroma you get when you open your car door and start heading toward the mill. Once inside, you'll find a large collection of Vermont souvenirs and it all seems like one big money-grab.When we finally got our donuts, they were really underwhelming. Cold and dry.I don't see a need to go out of your way.

We stopped by here while visiting the amazing countryside of Stowe! We were so amazed to find out the differences between apple cider and apple juices, and all the tour. A place that is worth a visit! ☺️
