I had the pleasure of visiting the Mad Rover for the first time about a week ago and meeting the wonderful owner (Steve).Steve was immensely helpful and tracked down some footwear (sandals) I was looking for that no other shop in town had. Not an easy thing to find in the middle of the winter! However, Steve had multiple options from high quality brands and really saved me.Beyond my specific needs, I noted they had a nice assortment of clothing and other interesting items for sale.I can wholeheartedly recommend you stop in and visit while you're in the area. Knowledgeable and helpful people running quality shops are hard to find these days.

We loved this place! They have really nice things beautifully displayed and the owner is super friendly, enjoyed chatting with him. Definitely recommend this place for nice clothing, tasteful Vermont gifts, bags, and socks among other things!!

Great shop with really cool and well made clothes for extremely fair prices. Super friendly and knowledgeable owner. My wife and I finished our Christmas shopping here yesterday and the experience was awesome. Support this business, you’ll not be disappointed.

Stopped in on a trip through Vermont and bought some Darn Tough socks and a Mad River Outfitters T shirt both are great. The store has a really good selection of mens and womens clothing from brands like KAVU, Fjallraven and Stio. A really great store a warm welcome from Steve the owner if you passing pay a visit.
