We are staying in Warren for an anniversary trip and stopped by for some cheese and wine for a special evening. It was worth every penny. Best camembert I've ever eaten! And the wines we got were delicious.

We visited in November while on vacation and it was fantastic! If anything they set the bar so exceptionally high that we’re disappointed with our local offerings now that we’re back home lol. We’ve been trying to find the cheeses we ordered at Mad River Taste Place down here in Florida, but they just aren’t the same. So we’ll be ordering online from Taste Place from now on instead! :) Both staff members that helped us were extremely friendly and patient as we asked questions and sampled cheeses. They packaged and sliced our order for us perfectly for us to enjoy a makeshift charcuterie in the lodge we were staying at, which was super nice of them to do. Exceptional customer service + delicious cheeses = winning combo. Definitely give them a try if you’re in/visiting the Mad River Valley!

Cute little shop with the best cheese I've ever had in my life, and I'm married to a French guy. We went back twice to reload lol. If you go, ask for the blue cheese or the triple cream cheese.

Amazing selection of top of the line treats! We purchased Babette’s Table Saucisson Sec (so authentic and delicious!) and cheeses from Square Cheese Twig Farm, Grafton Village and Plymouth Artisan Cheese and just had the most amazing Bastille Day celebration. (Blueberries form Covered Bridge Blueberry Farm in Underhill.) A great find and worth the trip form anywhere.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Mad River Taste Place. The quality of their meats and cheeses are unparalleled and they offer an incredible selection of not only local products but some of the best small business products Vermont has to offer. The staff is eager to share their knowledge and passion about great food and you really can't go wrong here! It's on the pricier side but if you're looking to splurge it is worth every penny!

Mary, Jordan, and the rest of the team are fabulous. They really know their stuff and do a great job recommending cheeses and pairings. I love that there are so many high quality Vermont-made products to choose from. Mostly i go for the cheeses but was excited to see the butcher open up in the same space and love their rotating sausage varieties!

As always the Mad River Taste Place is the best purveyor of excellent food and drink around. It was raining yesterday so I picked up some Cabot Clothbound and Vermont Shepherds Invierno cheeses (so well curated by the staff) and a focaccia from Two Suns Bakery. A huge hit at home, very special and a very good value for high quality and great tasting food! The team there is great and can help you navigate all the amazing choices. Thanks guys!

Cute shop with lots of Vermont treats. They have a great variety of cheese, wine, beer, honey, jams, etc. It's a prefect place to shop for a picnic. The prices are comparable to elsewhere in the state and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly.

Fantastic selection of Vermont cheeses— all available for tasting! Pleasant welcoming staff who are knowledgeable about regional products. Wine, craft beer, cider, local products of all kinds in a warm setting. Couches and a crackling fire bid you to sit down and share a coffee!

What an incredible selection of cheese, brews, local artisanal goods (definitely get the maple syrup!), you name it. I had their grilled cheeses two days in a row, and to my pleasant surprise, discovered that they change what cheeses and pickles they use it to make it every day.Shout out to their staff — incredibly kind and well informed about their offerings, they were great at helping me select a few gifts to bring home.

We drove in for a 4-day trip and the cheese monger totally set us up with the perfect selection! If they happen to have baguettes available when you go, be sure to grab one. They go really quickly. Vermonters are lucky to have such a great variety of flavors in their own back yard. It truly is a magical place!

A beautiful space with a big selection of Vermont products, ranging from cheese, distilled spirits (LOVE the gin), jams, honey, vinegar and the list goes on. The staff is exceptional, with a deep knowledge of all of the products and the history behind each producer. Make sure to have the Taste Place on you list.

Wanted to stop at this place since not all the cheese farms were open and selling at their locations. They have a vast variety of cheeses (and other treats too). It wasn't that busy, with only one couple in front of us who the female worker was helping. Weirdly the male worker did not offer to help us (but did others who came after us), so we almost just left because that is somewhat of an unwelcoming vibe. Once the female worker, Jordan, finished she helped us out (so we were happy we stayed!). She was so knowledgeable and really helped guide us with our purchases. She assisted us to pick out cheeses, meat, sauces and alcohol. She was also helpful in telling us about things to do locally too. Jordan was really awesome and we bought way more than we planned on, but when someone is so helpful and knowledgeable it just makes us want to buy what they're selling. Thanks again for all the help Jordan!

In its exceptionally beautiful space, it carries an excellent variety of Vermont products, emphasis on cheese, but there is so much more, local breads and other baked goods, coffee, all kinds of bottled sauces and drinks and so much more and has responded to the current crisis with easy online ordering and a great "newish" website that shows reminders of all the offerings when we cannot browse inside. Now there is phone and online ordering and pickup 10-4pm Monday through Saturday. Wish them good luck and many thanks in this current crisis!

Very nice people. Amazing selection. Shows you all the local places you can go as a tourist seeking samples of food. Here all you could really "taste" is cheese but they all were incredible. Takes awhile for a grilled cheese but it comes out perfect mainly because hard cheese takes longer to melt anyway.

On Saturday starting at 2 PM you get free samples of cheeses and apple cider’s. They are delicious. Prices are surprisingly reasonable and this is a wonderful cozy environment. I highly recommend to stop by if you are in town.

I recently had the pleasure of coordinating a wedding for a client that hired Mad River Taste for their cheese cake. Perhaps my favorite moment from that weekend was when I showed my bride the first photo of the final display and the delight that followed! Absolutely exceeded every expectation they had and blew everyone’s mind with it’s beauty and it’s flavor! Their service was too notch and I highly recommend ordering a “cheese” cake for any special occasion

A place of natural beauty in the middle of the nature in Warren, Vermont. The owners are so nice and informative. The rooms are well equipped and the bathrooms have a bubble bath. You feel like home and the place gives the right atmosphere to relax and enjoy the stay.

I love going in here for little tasty gifts: chocolate for teachers, or an interesting cheese for a host. They have a very nice variety. The staff is always very helpful and more than happy to answer any questions or help me find the right thing!

So many goodies for yourself or for gifts from sweets, cheeses, and various alcohol choices. The prices are a bit more high end but it doesn't matter when the service is right in line. As a local Vermonter, I approve!
