I absolutely love how much care and attention to detail this place puts into the process of making their ice cream! Their flavors are also so creative and delicious. I highly recommend you stop for a cone, creemee, or whatever!!Update 7/14 - My favorite flavors so far have been salted maple and three amigos sorbet. Patiently waiting for peanut butter to be on the scoop list:)

Came for the creemees, stayed for the ice cream! After going on a creemee adventure all throughout Vermont, we finally made our way to Vergennes. We have tried some of the best creemees the whole state has to offer and we were curious how this place ranked. When we arrived, it had a BIG line, so we definitely knew something had to be good! The atmosphere of this place is really cute, and they have hard ice cream (which I think is their specialty), soft serve (known as creemees in Vermont), as well as coffee and baked goods - both regular and gluten-free! We tried their maple and limoncello creemee flavors, as well as the basil ice cream considering they said it was ranked “best in Vermont” - the creemees were pretty good, but the basil ice cream was excellent! In my opinion, if you come here, you should get their hard ice cream because that seems like what they’re known for. You could be adventurous and try basil (there are no secrets here, it really tastes like basil), but if that’s not your style, they have tons of other awesome flavors to choose from. I would probably skip Lulu’s creemees just because we have had better in Jericho and Jeffersonville, but I can pretty safely say this place has the best hard ice cream I’ve had so far in Vermont. This is a great place nonetheless, and totally worth your time!

Perfect ice cream. They do subtle flavors really well, like Honey/Lavender. Their basil ice cream is divine. They make their waffle cones fresh in-house, and it’s the best I’ve ever had.Been several times. Loved every flavor.Friendly staff.

Lu Lu ice cream is amazing! They have a great variety of unique flavors that are always delish but I’m especially happy that they carry ice cream that isn’t made with cane sugar since I have an allergy to it. I can finally have ice cream again and Laura knocks it out of the park with the honey lavender or bees knees flavor 😋 we just checked out their pop up brunch and they continued to crush it with the flavors. We had their loaded tater tots and vegetable quiche and I would come back every weekend just to enjoy these and try the other items on their menu. This is a must visit spot if you’re in the area.

I hate to bash a local business but I really don't understand how this place is in business. First time I went the place reeked of tuna and they had very few ice cream flavors. It smelled so bad I had to leave. Second time they had no ice cream available. Third time I finally got a creemee but it was $6 or $7 for something the size of my thumb without a tip. When I walked in each time, I was greeted with "I'm good how are you" before I had even said a thing. Really a bizarre place.

100% hands down, my favorite Maple Creemee on our annual Maple Creemee Crawl. The mocha maple was to die for. This is legit the best spot in cutie pie Vergennes. They have super kind staff, it's clean as a whistle and the loo is clean too. Take my word for it, this place rocks. The basil gelato was pretty darn good too.

After visiting Rockers for a delicious meal, head next door to Lu Lu for the finest ice cream and gelato in New England! There's nothing artificial about this ice cream and there's nothing artificial about the genuine friendliness and helpfulness of their staff. We're sorry we didn't get their names, but like their ice cream, they're all top shelf! After trying a sample or two, we had a delicious super dark chocolate gelato made with goats' milk in a homemade waffle cone that tasted like a little bit of Heaven on Earth. The more we think about it, we want to jump into the car and travel the three hours for a tasty treat. Their shop is very clean with many places to sit and enjoy a cone or dish. Even on a cool and cloudy afternoon as when we went, it's always a perfect time for Lu Lu!

LU-LU's has a great location (middle of downtown) and i love that you can also get coffee and pastries here, but it is super expensive. Ice cream flavors are more "refined" with flavors like "Earl Grey Tea" and lots of burbon infused ideas (like cherries or caramel). However, when you taste the icecream, imho, you can't taste any of the special ingredients (ie. burbon, peeps, etc). But it IS all made in house, and is a fun place to go for a more upscale "date with girlfriends" rather than a family icecream shop.

We booked lulu ice cream in place of wedding cake at our daughter's wedding celebration and it was just perfect. The ice cream freezers were delivered to the wedding barn and kept the ice cream frozen on a steamy hot day. When we announced ice cream the crowd seriously went wild. And then to have it be as delicious as this ice cream is, that was amazing!

Drove over an hour and a half to bring my Mom for her 90th birthday. This was all she wanted to do after reading about it in Yankee magazine.It was by far an absolute wonderful experience.! The owners went out of their way to make it a super memorable visit,and the ice cream was out of this world delicious! Everyone was friendly and went above and beyond to give my Mom a great day; for which I'm forever grateful! Do yourself a favor,and make the trip! I promise you'll be glad you did!

Really amazing, though they were out of several flavors by the time I got there. I guess you have to get there pretty early to try an basil! And the ice cream is on the soft side, I think she makes everything overnight before the shop opens so it's kind of a small operation!

Recently tried their Pumpkin Spice Latte flavor. absolutely delicious! It is most certainly artisan ice cream, and the prices are reflective of that. Still, if you are looking for unique flavors then they have them here!Their storefront is quaint and has ample parking around it being in the center of town.I can't wait to go again and try some of their other seasonal flavors, especially come winter!

Delicious, creative, and constantly inspired flavors! This is the best place in Vermont to get ice cream. From surprisingly fresh mint, to creamy and smooth, to boozy heaven-in-a-cup, Lu*Lu's will make you feel like a kid trying ice cream for the first time all over again. Their non-dairy options are also exceptional. They have offered fruit-forward sorbets and a chocolate made with coconut milk made me actually tear up with happiness (please make more!). The owners are taste magicians.

We LOVE Lulu! Was so excited to visit in the fall and try the amazing ice cream. The Epic Creemee is the best creemee I’ve had in Vermont, it’s really wonderful. The coffee is also delicious! Wishing we lived closer to enjoy Lulu more often. The ice cream subscription is awesome for getting your fix. We’ve tried it out for a few months and have really enjoyed having it delivered right to our door.Such a great spot!!

I LOVE LuLu’s! ❤️ The best ice cream in the state, forget about that Ben or Jerry. I only wish that I lived closer! (Though I might develop a problem if I lived less than 30 minutes away). Their flavors are phenomenal, and I’m surprised by new flavors each visit (Cantaloupe sorbet? Sounds crazy but was OUT OF THIS WORLD 🌍 💫 good. Like the freshest cantaloupe you’ve ever had). The owner is the sweetest and will go out of her way to help you pick up a special order. It is the ONLY place I’ll make a “just because” hour round-trip 🚗 to. They’re THAT good. 💗 Please open another location closer to Burlington!

The owner is absolutely the most creative ice-cream (and sorbet) maker I've ever met and the quality is the best. My family and I visit often, the Goat-Strawberry ice cream was fabulous yesterday! She changes the flavors often and you will always find something tempting and more-ish. I think the portions are just right and you can always get another one. The baked goods are freshly made each day and delicious, the presentation and friendly atmosphere are welcoming. There is healthy dog ice-cream to indulge your pet also! LuLu's is a destination

I don't usually review places unless I really like them, so here goes. I've recently moved to Vermont from South Africa. We live about 15 minutes from Vergennes, and lu•lu is definitely one of my favorite places! Our little daughter turned 2 today, and we decided to order an ice-cream cake. If the ice-cream is heavenly... why wouldn't the cake be as well? I think I enjoyed it more than Maya! Great ice-cream, and the the owner's infectious smile just makes our visits just that much better. I look forward to frequenting lu•lu for years to come!

The moonrise flavor was amazing 10/10.The coffee and vegan chocolate sorbet were ok like 6/10.Very clean place with quite a few options.The host was very friendly and helped pick the flavors.
