Five stars all around for doggy daycare, grooming, and private training or group classes with Nina. The staff here are wonderful, they love the pups! We haven't taken advantage of the boarding services yet, but have only heard good things. This place is truly a gem in our little Vergennes ❤️

I have been bringing my two dogs to Comfort Hill Kennel for several years now, and up until 11/10, our experiences with most of the staff during doggy daycare or boarding have been positive. However, during my recent work trip, I encountered a highly unsettling situation. Upon picking up my dogs, I inquired about their well-being, only to be informed, quite casually, "So, we unfortunately have some bad news: your dog was (attacked)."While I appreciate the staff taking immediate measures to address the situation and tend to the injury, I am deeply disturbed by the fact that neither I nor the designated emergency contact received a phone call regarding this incident. This lack of communication is both frustrating and alarming, especially considering the substantial fees that fur parents pay to ensure the safety of their pets in their absence. A simple phone call would have made a significant difference in this situation.As a responsible pet parent, I confirm that the contact information on file for emergencies is accurate. The absence of a proactive communication protocol in the event of such incidents is unacceptable. I trust that you will take immediate action to rectify this issue and implement a more stringent communication process to keep pet parents informed about the well-being of their animals under your care. The safety and security of our beloved pets should always be the top priority, and I expect nothing less from a reputable establishment like Comfort Hill.Four days later, the owners still have not reached out.. no sense of ownership, accountability or remorse.

The Comfort Hill Kennel Team is THE BEST! Our dog LOVES the caring people who look after her when we travel. She is very possessive about us, and doesn’t generally fancy other folks, but she goes into wagging paroxysms of glee when we tell her that she is going. She runs off to their open arms without a backward glance. I could feel jealous, but I am too happy that our pup feels so loved there.

I highly recommend Nina Daniel as a dog trainer. The first thing you will experience with Nina is her love of dogs and training. She has a tremendous depth of knowledge with extensive experience in a wide range of training and behavior situations. She uses positive training techniques and is caring and professional. I cannot recommend Nina enough!

It's the 1st place where Maizey seems actually happy to go in. She leads us and pulls on her leash to go inside. The staff is very friendly and extremely professional. We do not worry about Maizey's stay at Comfort hill.

Comfort Hill Kennel has been caring for my dogs for over 20 years. During that time, many friends have joined me in gratitude for the incredible, detailed care to our pets. The amazing staff at CH will carry through with every detail (medical needs, feeding, bedtime & play habits ) with a willingness and reporting back of observations made during a stay or grooming. Their grooming is exceptional. My dogs come back looking like show animals and feeling so proud of their positive spa experience. You can’t go wrong with the comfort offered at CHK!

Used this place 4 times now and each time my dog seemed normal ..as much as possible being away for a week....when picked up. They offer grooming services at reasonable prices which i take advantage of each time. The desk staff is generally pleasant but could smile and seem more appreciative of the business....But my main concern is how my pet is treated.

Do not go here! Dropped off my dog at 8 am for a grooming appointment and was told they would call me as soon as she was ready. After 3 hours I called to check on her. They said she was bathed, but that was it, not dried, and she was waiting for the groomer to finish other dogs. "They don't finish with one dog before moving on to the next" was what the front desk told me. When asked when they thought my dog would be gotten to and finished, I was told "early afternoon". It has now been SIX HOURS.Update: I called again. They are "short staffed in grooming today, and groom 18 dogs a day". My dog is still not finished, and I should expect her done by 4 pm (which is 8 hours after she was dropped off). I'm stuck just waiting around all day so I can suddenly get in the car with my two small kids when they suddenly decide to call. Turns out they aren't BBB accredited either.

Revising my review 1 year later because I am even happier with this business! Every day I bring my dog Juni I am greeted by the friendliest staff. The work they do isn't easy but they always greet people (and dogs) in the most welcoming way. They go above and beyond to make sure I feel comfortable leaving my dog at daycare & boarding, and my dog ADORES the staff. They do such a good job pairing play groups together and making sure the dogs have a good experience that over the past two years my (usually scared) dog now likes other dogs more - a true testament to their profession! Thank you to everyone at Comfort Hill you guys are all rockstars!

For boarding or grooming, there is no better place! We are have a terrier mix who is incredibly particular (difficult but lovable). We have boarded our dog here for 5+ years and Comfort Hill goes above and beyond to take care of him. Today he went to his first grooming appointment there and my husband and I both said it was the best cut our dog has ever received!! We travel from South Burlington and it is absolutely worth it. Thank you Comfort Hill for taking amazing care of Pete, you all are the best!

Comfort Hill's whole staff has been wonderful with my girl Cara, who is very socially selective/reactive and has not always enjoyed boarding or daycare. She does so well at Comfort Hill and comes home happy every time! It's a wonderful bonus for her to have day training with Nina and the other handlers to work on socialization, setting, and agility skills. I travel fairly frequently for work and I'm very grateful for this wonderful resource so close to where I live.

I'm currently working here. All of the staff love animals and have or are learning a deep appreciation of animal psychology. We take great care and thought into introducing client's pets to each other and strive to give them a clean environment to board in and a fun environment to play in. Even if I should stop working there, I know my pets would get the best treatment and playtime because of how the owners run the place and how much the workers there love all the animals that come through.Even if your pet is unsocialized or just doesn't have any friends yet, the staff can safely find good matches for your dog and ensure a happy, healthy, and fun stay for your pets. If it just so happens that your dog isn't good with other dogs, we have dedicated staff to ensure they get the attention, love, and play that every pet deserves.

They give me peace of mind for my fur babies. They made sure one of our kitties got to the vet very fast when they discovered she had a sudden onset illness while we were on vacation a 1000 miles away. I'm so glad we didn't just have a neighbor come feed them twice a day. And their prices are reasonable.

Highly recommended Comfort Hill Kennel! My 2 year old husky has attended daycare here for the last year and absolutely loves it! The staff are welcoming and very professional especially in these hard times adapting to the covid-19 situation. He also just had his first grooming and he looks amazing! Highly recommended!

Comfort Hill is a wonderful place for dogs. My dogs are always excited to go and come home happy and in good spirits. Their excitement escalates on our way there, as soon as we cross the railroad tracks, they sense where they are headed and they practically jump for joy- best endorsement ever, the dogs love it!

I’ve been using CHK for several years. My dogs are always healthy, happy, and tired out when I pick them up. The staff is friendly and helpful.It would be helpful if I saw prices on the Website. I wish it was a bit less expensive, but on the other hand, I don’t know how expensive it is to run the place.All-in-all I’m happy, and will continue to use Comfort Hill Kennel.

I love this place. I train in agility, rally and obedience there and love all the kennel has to offer. The staff is amazing, helpful and knowledgeable. I am usually not crazy about leaving my dogs in a kennel for any length of time, but I do leave them at Comfort Hill because I know they will be well cared for. Also, when you visit there, walk up the hill toward the barn and just stand in awe at the beautiful views of the Green Mountains. I defy you not to gasp at the view!

I’ve been using CHK for doggie daycare and overnight boarding for years. Their location is not the most convenient to where I live, but I happily go out of my way to use them. They offer so many “extras” and best of all extra love for my pups. I never worry about their health, safety, or happiness when they are at Comfort Hill Kennel and I highly recommend them.
