The staff are extremely helpful and kind. While the store does have a ramp to enter the staff are able to get a ramp for a small power chair. The store has some excellent goodies and able to enjoy what Stowe has to offer.

There is something very special about a local business that has been in existence since 1895. That being said the store is filled with great outdoor gear and one of my favorite items, shoes. The staff is wonderful and laid back yet really knowledgeable about their products which is why I decided to buy a great pair of Dansko clogs because Alex explained to me the added comfort of the professional style. Loved how the staff was treated to an ice cream break which I just loved seeing how everyone in this store seems to enjoy their jobs. Support small businesses as they are the lifeline of their community. Thankful to shop in your wonderful store!!

Felt like I was being accused of stealing. I was just walking around the busy store when all of a sudden some store clerk comes by in a frantic mannerand asks if I have any questions. He DIDN'T approach me in a friendly manner.He then quickly ran off to the back and didn't ask anyone else if they needed help.As a person who used to work in retail with a strong security team I knew exactly what was happening.I didn't appreciate being profiled for just hanging around while my husband was looking around.

This store has it all. Mmen's Clothing, Women's Clothing, Souvenirs, Books, local homemade foods, like a countless amount of types of jam, jelly, preserves, honey, fudge, cookies, and maple products. I bought chocolate and walnut fudge, peanut butter and chocolate fudge, pure maple syrup, maple butter and more. I also had a great toasted BLT sandwich and clam chowder. We plan to go back next time we return to the area.

Fun place to visit while in Stowe. They have an excellent line of shoes for men, women, and children. My husband and daughter purchased Keen water shoes and received outstanding service. We brought our friends there when they came to visit and also purchased shoes from Shaw’s and they received the same excellent service. Nice variety of T-shirts, hoodies, jewelry, and souvenirs. Definitely recommend.

Amazing that one store can capture all that Vermont has to offer, this Jewel in the heart of Stowe goes to show you how Beautiful and Area Stowe and the rest of Vermont truly is. The staff there are the friendliest and Warmest people you can ever meet. There selection is huge and amazing, and the store is clean and bright and beautiful. One of the best parts about my trip was finding this little slice of heaven, and I would highly recommend visiting this store during the fall. They go above and beyond.

They have so much I went in just to look for an insulated cup with a straw to keep my drink cold. great. Ended up buying a few stickers, few tshirts, some Maple Syrup, and couple things for the road trip.

I love walking into this store and immediately being profiled for no reason. I walked back by the shoes and this lady was hovering like no other. Then when we were checking out she asked if my friends water bottle was theirs or not when clearly it’s an entirely different label than the ones they are selling and more than half gone. Also every time I picked something up to look at it she made sure I put it back and followed me around. This store experience was uncomfortable and a bummer.

My family and I have come to this store at least annually over the last 10 years or so, but during the past two years we have not had the best experiences. Last year we left the store without really having a chance to look as an employee followed us and our children around like we were about to steal something, never asking if they could help us, just staring. This year one of the employees held the door for us as she was entering then told us to hurry it up please because the air was on....Less than a minute into the store we already had a different employee eagle eyeing us, telling us we shouldn't be touching things, especially our kids...I understand things can get broken but we were right there supervising our children...I then asked the employee if we should leave, he replied simply "If you would like, be my guest to." So, needless to say, after many years of patronage, we will not be back, but apparently they do not need ours anyway. But, on another note, if they do not want children in their store then they should not carry items geared toward children, and should post a sign stating no children, adult browsing only.

Food was delicious. The goat cheese spinach omelette was delicious. The biscuits and gravy were like croissant s with a thick gravy. The french toast was not only beautiful to see but delicious as well. The walls are colorfully decorated with fun signs. It's a must see and eat at place for sure.

Another must-visit every time we're in Stowe. They have a little bit of everything, including a great selection of outdoor/hiking wear, Vermont- and Stowe-themed apparel and souvenirs, puzzles/games/toys, and even shoes. We usually end up buying way more than we should, but it's hard not to with all the cool stuff they have on offer.

This retro style upscale general store is located in the heart of Stowe's quaint New England village.We were originally going to drive through this town, but decided to stop, specifically for this store as I had spotted the sale rack outdoors!Prices are a little steep, but there are some bargains. I got a really cute Stowe t-shirt on clearance for $10, which isn't TOO bad. They have a really great assortment of anything from onesies to apparel for the whole family. I liked the hat selection too!They do of course sell maple related souvenirs like cookies, syrup and candies. Always a popular souvenir to pick up for yourself or someone back home.Other items for sale included jewelry, decorative pillows, wall decor, mugs, backpacks and more.Nice selection of shoes, but you will pay a pretty penny! A lot of them are perfect for the activities of this area though. They sell Keen hiking boots, sneakers and sandals. I am a huge fan of this brand! There is also a small selection of well made socks, some would be great for skiing.In addition to the sale racks out front, there were more reduced items in the basement.

It's a touristy kind of place, but I'm a sucker for it. Building is historic and oozes character. Right smack in the middle of Main Street, it offers a blend of stuff from technical hiking gear, to life is good products, to Stowe themed attire and accessories. Overall, a fun store to peruse as you stroll down Stowe's quaint main drag.

We bought two shirts and an ornament at Shaws. It was fairly priced at $24-$28 for a nice long sleeve shirt and an ornament for $9. I'd recommend this place, especially if you're looking for souvenirs or need a change of clothing 👍

Avoid this store at all costs. Overpriced. Rudest employees. They have an employee walking around demanding you have a mask covering your entire face even as you are drinking your coffee. Rude employee response when asked store times. "Well considering we are open 7 days a week I guess we are open Sun.". 😡

Shaw's (not to be confused with the Grocery Store) is an excellent place to find beautiful sweaters and souvenir t-shirts. They have a wonderful selection of beautiful and comfortable shoes and slippers. Some great bargains too!

Shaw's used to be a real general store with a variety of interesting home, food and clothing items. With the lower level closed to the public, it now is more of an expensive souvenir and clothing store.
