Stopped here to purchase Vermont farmstead cheese and was surprised by the variety of items available here. The cheese factory doesn’t sell any more and they suggested this store for purchase. The store has a good collection of cheese, beer, snacks and a cute cafe at the back. Must stop here as the people a friendly and helpful.

Excellent flavors, kind service, and country charm all in one place. Order at the counter and spend the wait while your food is prepared looking around this sweet store. I would wish the food prep was quicker but I enjoyed looking at all the unique local offerings too much

Awesome store! Everything is spread out, so when moving around or if it's crowded, it's never too bad as there's plenty of room. There's plenty of options, and the food is great too! They do NOT have tobacco products, but everything else they pretty much have, variety of drinks, snacks, etc. Definitely visit if you're around!

The South Woodstock country store is iconic. It’s old and is full of Vermont charm but the most recent renovations make it feel new and clean. The breakfast sandwich I had most recently was delicious. The shopping experience felt safe and the staff was friendly! Nice selection of wines that weren’t what I see at most general stores so I’ll be back for sure to find some other new bottles! They also had some nice VT gifts in store as well.

What a beautiful town, so many Historic buildings, so many made from brick or stone. The General Store is an incredible place, so open and airy, great products and great foods too. Friendly staff, it's complete with a sitting area to dine in.And clean rest rooms.

I stumbled onto this place quite by accident while out for a Saturday afternoon drive. What a lucky break! The panini sandwiches are to die for. The cookies and brownies should not be missed either. The staff were super friendly. It is totally worth the stop and I will intentionally make the trip here again.

The assemblage of sandwich ingredients, each at different temperatures and coefficients of friction into a cohesive whole, is a craft all too often absent in the world. This place has rare persons that excel in this pursuit, alongside a range of maple products and wines from humble origins all the way up to rare La Garagista wines, making for a particularly memorable selection. Noting that advil packets, unusual socks, and stuffed animals just within affordable ranges lie in wait for the right circumstance and patronage, all add to the intrigue. This is a country store with all the particularities of a great novel. Best under- $10 sandwich in years.

This was our second stop here. We actually made a special trip looking for a specific stuffed animal. We also got a breakfast burrito which was really good, and some coffee.

Stopped by after a major bike race event in Reading just down the road, I approached the deli counter where 5 other people were getting sandwiches and was told immediately that the deli was closed. It was 2:12pm. I took another look at the deli menu behind me that clearly states deli open till 3pm grill closes at 2pm. I informed the guy behind the register the times on the sign. Only got lip back from him. There were now other cyclist standing behind me also looking to get some food. There were over 700 people at our event and a large amount of people at the Green Mtn. Horse Association just down the road. To be so blunt on when the grill closes with that many people in town sounds absurd. Maybe in slow months you can close on time, but with that many out of state plates in front of the store, you never know how much money we all would have spent at your store. Again the sass that was given shows me that this kid has never been in the food industry before and should go back to school and learn some manners. He is clearly Mgmt material. Not Impressed. Another race in the area in October, I will see if this kid has changed his tune.
