My favorite place for weekly shopping. Awesome selection of fresh and local produce, as well as hard to find food items and alternative options that are very handy for gluten free and vegan chums.If you're moving to the area, the membership deal gives you 15% off twice a month, making it pretty affordable over the long-term as well.What makes it most special are the staff, who are all lovely. They'll make a real effort to learn your name and ask how you're doing, which always makes a difference.

A very quaint little town grocery store with local products. The staff are friendly and helpful. Great options for healthy and farm to table foods. One of the greatest things about this place is it is next to the gem of Royalton. RBs deli the food is amazing! Go shop and then have lunch! Great little tucked away place.

Wow! I was so surprised by how much this seemingly "small town store" supplied! Incredible variety of delicious I-want-to-eat-this-right-now: produce, prepared foods, & breads. Specialty foods and general market products smartly planned out to maximize the usage of this quaint and wonderful place. Local products including wonderfully smelling Beeswax candles. And a helpful team of employees, very welcoming and informative. Locals love it! Travelers, make this a "Must See" on your itinerary.

I'm thankful that this store is here as there is food desert situation in this town of South Royalton convenience stores if they weren't here. The only thing I would wish for is it would be more focused toward the income of the people of the area most of us cannot afford to shop there. That is my only complaint if you are shopping for delicious fresh vegetables organic foods and well thought out grocery store items this is the place to go just bring your wallet! I will always remember Frans food store.

Prices used to be high, but then the rest of the world caught up. This is the only place to find ________(fill in the blank). For us it was Virgil's root beer. Produce always glows and bulk food are varied and very reasonable. Stopping in to pick up a lunch, though, costs about as much as going out for a sandwich.

I have struggled over the last few days about my last 3 experiences here and weather I should post anything. The first time I went it was for a client. It it was an ok experience. Moving through the store I discovered many things I wanted to go back and get for myself. At the Check out I got a rather cold reception but figured that she was having a bad day, I understood. The second visit i was met with the same cold responses from the staff and check out was very much the same. This last time I went may just be the last time I go into this store. I realized that halfway through the store I was being followed by an employee. I got to the check out and was again met with a cold experience. I'm a very nice, honest and trustworthy person. so, to have someone actually follow me around the store was naturally offensive. My hope is that the employees will be made aware of their actions because in sure I'm not the only one that feels this way or has had similar experiences. Please understand that my review is not against the store itself but just the actions of the staff.

I’m a big fan of the market. I’ve been a member of a co-op at nearly every place I’ve lived. South Royalton Market is by far the friendliest of them all. I like that the buyers (and presumably board) isn’t too cool to stock regular people every day items and brands. I especially like the local meats, cheese and beer, sweet beer.

A truly neat place! Good local products, friendly faces, fair prices. They have a bulk section with awesome snacks, nuts n such. Excellent premade lunch items as well which are delicious such as their sandwiches. Fresh, many times local produce that almost always looks Qual. A good selection of frozen foods and other convenience items—it’s not just a health foods’ market. I stop by here about once a month or so. If you have not been by yet, you should.

I always pop into the S Royalton Market when I'm in the area. For a small store, they have a nice variety of fresh, local products. The beer selection is solid as well.

Great sandwiches in a wonderfully little town. All of the sandwiches are made to order, so don't be shy making sure it is what you want. Process are good for big portions. Great drink selection as well.

I don't very often visit this business, but I have to say I'm never disappointed when I do. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They have a great range of organic foods for very reasonable prices. Recommend highly.

Living in a place with few grocery store options, we feel like we hit the jackpot by living 15 minutes away from the South Royalton Market. Over the past several years of living here, we've gotten to know just about everyone who works at the Coop, and always have friendly, positive experiences. There's plenty of magic at the South Royalton Market, but the one that continues to baffle us is how they fit so much quality, good food into a small-ish space. I seldom have to go somewhere else for ingredients. Keep on rocking SORO MARKET!

Great market with friendly helpful staff. Very receptive to suggestions and requests to carry certain items they don't already have. Very good produce, and whole grain, beans, seeds, nuts and herb/spice selections. A gem in the heart of a small town in Vermont.

This store has things you can't always find at your standard grocery store and reasonable prices. They have a good bulk foods section as well. The craft beer selection is very good.

My wife just came home in tears because of how badly she treated by these aggressive bullies.She entered the store without a mask as she is fully vaccinated, medically exempt from wearing a mask, and the governor rescinded the mask mandate over a month ago.A male employee accosted her about it and when she explained her medical condition to him he stated that his health was more important than hers. He proceeded to publicly shame her by making stand in one spot without moving while he went to fetch a mask that he intimidated her into wearing regardless of her health and her medical conditions.I don't know how such arrogant, aggressive, and vicious bullying by male employees to female customers can be tolerated, but apparently South Royalton Market is all for it.No one from my family will ever set foot in that store again. You should all be ashamed of your selves.

Its humerous how a small shop sorrounded by a law school thinks its employees can offer medical advice and practice medicine without a license a felony by the way thats the law by forcing customers to put a medical device upon their face without the proper medical background

I've grown up around this store and now once have i been in it, i can't help but feel regret, Trust me when I say they have some really awesome choices for being an organic store I wish I would have gone there a long time ago because I would still be going there I know one th8ng is for sure 8 will go there again!!!

Convenient (if you're in South Royalton or nearby) with friendly staff and lots of parking. Good variety including organics; produce is often the same price or cheaper than larger stores that are farther away.
