Main con was the smell as you enter the room. Not sure what. Maybe it’s because this property allows pets. Maybe it doesn’t get aired much. Maybe it’s just old and musty. You kind of get used to it but when you leave the room and come back you’re reminded of it. Other than that the place is basic. It will do in a pinch but it’s a far from a relaxing place. Oh and walls are paper thin and you can hear normal speaking people down the hall. There’s also families staying here seems like for extended periods. Breakfast was less than basic.

The room was pretty good a kitchen and a bathroom but the chair was a bit dirty with brown stripes but overall it was good of there isn't enough blankets you can order more and it'll come quickly the neighbours are pretty annoying cause they can put the volume loud but overall it's a good hotel to stay at it has free breakfastRooms: The rooms a pretty spacious and pretty clean but maybe you'll get a dirty chair or bed but overall it was goodNearby activities: If you are here to visit there are activities that you'll want to do first there is Jay peak a family favorite and also there are some hiking trails if you wanna do that you can also walk in the city and there is more that I won't writeFood & drinks: It comes with a free breakfast buffet eggs, waffles, juices and more

Okay hotel off the busier roadway in South Burlington. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Free hot breakfast and WiFi.Walkability: One restaurant next door, otherwise not much walkable. There was a bus stop right outside the hotel though, so probably easy to use public transport.

Pros:- Staff is super friendly.- Bed was comfortable.- Breakfast was good.- Was always able to find an open parking spot.- The AC unit was quiet and efficient.- Full size fridge and an ample kitchen area.- Stocked with pots, pans, utensils, plates, bowls, etc..Cons:- "Non-smoking" room smelled like an ash tray. The front desk clerk said she would have relocated us to a different room but there weren't any available to move us to. They gave a can of air freshener to take back to the room with us. We also ran to the store and picked up a couple car air fresheners to clip on the AC unit, a scented candle, and our own can of Febreze. This helped slightly, but still got punched in the face with the smell every time we came back to the room at the end of the day. It wasn't too bad after the 10 minutes or so it took me to become "nose-blind".- Second floor hallway always smelled a bit funky, like food and other smells mixed together.- Had a little yipper dog in the room next to us - not that big a con though, because he would only bark a few minutes every morning and then a few minutes every evening.- TV remote only worked 20% of the time (it wasn't the batteries because it always worked to turn the TV on and off, just couldn't change volume or channels).

The rooms were clean and quiet. The staff are all very nice. The breakfast is ok. Good make your own waffles, sausage, and eggs. If there was fruit I would say the breakfast was a very good continental breakfast but the lack of fruit left me feeling kind of sick after eating. They refill food regularly throughout breakfast hours. The beds are not comfortable at all. Every time my husband moved it felt like I was on a Waterbed. In the morning, he was putting his socks on and I thought he was shaking the bed to wake me up! The rooms are dated. Even though the room was a suite, it wasn't private bc the bathroom is inside the bedroom. Also, the fridge was so cold it froze our food. But luckily there was a microwave.

It is only 10 minutes from Burlington downtown and cheaper than the other hotels. We enjoyed our visit and probably stay again.Pros:Location - It is only 10 minutes from the downtown.Rooms - Rooms are spacious. It's a suite, so you will have the kitchen, living area and a bedroom. They also provide cribs (pack n play) on request.Breakfast - They serve hot breakfast from 7-10 AM. They served waffles, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, cereals, juices, bagels, toast and coffee etc. It was good!!Front-desk staff - They are really helpful and polite.Cons:- Window AC in the room is at a wrong place. If you want to turn on the AC, you need to keep the curtain open otherwise it covers the AC.- Furniture and appliances are old, but that didn't bother us. We were here for a short stay.- Parking can be tricky on busy days.

Are most of the guests the homeless? The building is fine, but there is no water pressure. You have to work to get things like trash bags and toilet paper replaced. Staff don't behave like you're in a regular hotel. I'd expect more hospitality from prison guards.Safety: You need a vehicle and you have to take a u-turn on a busy road to get to the lot.Walkability: There are no services within a mile.

The smart suites were quite expensive for what they were. Quite a way out of the centre of Burlington but, a bus stopped right outside (when it was running). The staff were mostly friendly and helpful, the rooms could do with a deep clean and same with the shared hallways. Some of the facilities were a bit dated and the breakfast could do with some more fresh fruit and different hot options (Breakfast patties everyday...)

We recently stayed here for a week.PROS: room is a nice size. We had a full kitchen, livingroom, and bedroom was off to the side with ample closet space .CONS: This place is in dire need of a deep cleaning and updating. The air conditioning unit was extremely loud when we arrived. My husband decided to check the unit to figure out why. The filters in the unit were so clogged that they resembled lint screens in a dryer. We washed and sanitized them, and low and behold, the unit then purred like a kitten. Not sure they had ever been cleaned. Frightening, since covid is still around. Luckily, we brought cleaning supplies with us. One of the reasons we stayed was they have a laundry room. Coin operated. I decided to do 2 loads of wash. Loaded the washers, and started them. I turned around and noticed after my clothes were washing that only one dryer was available in working condition, and someone had a load drying, with 20 minutes left. I decided to run up to the front desk to ask for some quarters for exchange for a couple of dollar bills. The clerk informed me that I would have to drive down the street and find a business to exchange a dollar bill for 4 quarters. When my husband later inquired if they could simply unlock the coin box on one of the machines, the same clerk said that that was done by maintenance, and there was no one working that day (a day during the week). We ended up taking our wet clothing to a laundromat. The hallways and public areas are really dirty. I do not think that the hotel has ever been updated.I have a small service dog. One morning as I was taking her out to potty, the front desk woman was talking with a man by the front door. The dog was a large pitbull, as we walked passed them, the dog lunged at us. The clerk apologized, but I thought this was highly unprofessional. Later in the day, this same clerked asked if she could pet my service dog. Again, highly inappropriate. The price for the week was over $2,000. We were quite disappointed! We will not stay here in the future while visiting Vermont. I recommend looking elsewhere. ☹

We loved our stay here! The suites are extra large and very clean. The beds are so comfortable. It’s pet-friendly with a lot of space for a dog. Most notably, the hotel managers were awesome, so helpful and SO kind. I definitely will stay here again when visiting Burlington.

The only reason I am giving this place an extra star is because of the amazing woman at the front desk (Alyssa maybe?). She was extremely accommodating. This hotel needs a deep clean. All throughout. Hallways smelt like smoke most the time and the rooms were outdated and dirty. We were originally placed in a room on the ground floor and when we walked in the wallpaper was peeling and the blinds were so dirty that someone had actually written something in the dirt. I was very uncomfortable so we called the front desk and (Alyssa?) was extremely apologetic and put us on in a new room. Second room was ok. Bed was uncomfortable and the ac unit was stinky. I should probably also note that this hotel must be a state run housing place too. A lot of people live here. Cops were actually searching a room the second day of our stay. I did not feel comfortable but had already paid for the stay. We will not be coming back.

Great place to stay. The service was exceptional, the staff Elizabeth and Shawn were amazing and very kind and helpful. Our room was clean, fresh towels and all the amenities were great. The rates were priced to sell and is worth every penny. The breakfast is full continental style and wonderful. We stayed with our dog, bicycles, kayaks and all of our belongings were safe and sound. I would give this suite a 6 star rating if there was the option. Excellent hotel!!!

Great space for extended stay. Individual unit was clean and perfect for our cat. The only complaint I have is of the smell of the hallways and elevator. It stank of smoke and wet dog. Perhaps this is the trade-off of a pet friendly facility. The breakfast was quite extensive with options and I would say fantastic.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! LITTLE BOY HAD TO GO FIND SOMEONE TO CHECK US IN. TO GET IN WE HAD TO WALK THROUGH PEOPLE ALL OVER THE PLACE. IT LOOKS LIKE A PLACE WHERE YOU RENT BY THE HOUR. THAT IS OBVIOUSLY WHY THERE IS A NO CANCELLATION POLICY. EVERY TRAVELLER WOULD CANCEL. OBVIOUSLY PEOPLE LIVE THERE LIKE IN AN APARTMENT BUILDING. PARTYING ON THE BALCONY ABOVE WHERE YOU CHECK IN AND YELLING AND SCREAMING AND DRINKING. STAINS ON THE OLD FURNITURE AND THE CARPET IS JUST NASTY. . ELEVATOR HASNT BEEN CLEANED IN YEARS. SOME TYPE OF LIQUID RUNNING DOWN THE WALL. PEOPLE IN GROUPS LATE AT NIGHT IN THE PARKING LOT AND REALLY LOUD. DIDNT BOTHER TO HAVE THE BREAKFAST AS THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE THERE FILL THE PLACE UP. YOU ARE PRICED $300.00 OVER WHAT SHOULD BE CHARGED. I KNOW I WON'T GET AN ANSWER BACK ON THIS BECAUSE YOU KNOW I AM RIGHT. THIS PLACE IS A 1 STAR AT BEST. WOULD DEFINITELY NOT HAVE STAYED THERE BUT FOR $365 I SLEPT AND SHOWERED AND RAN OUT OF THERE TO GO FIND A DECENT RESTAURANT TO HAVE BREAKFAST.

Our room was clean and comfortable, however it wasn't the room size that we booked. It was smaller and not a suite sized. We were in a hurry to get to a wedding so we didn't have a chance to talk to the front desk until we got back. They were sold out of rooms at that point but the did compensate us financially for the mix up. Professional staff, clean rooms, great location.

Very clean room and bathroom. Outdoor balcony was awesome for chilling in the evenings. Having a fridge in the room was great and the breakfast/afternoon snacks were great. All staff we encountered were very kind and helpful. Would totally stay again!

Nice place. Clean and pretty comfortable. The employees are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is where it's at. Every day we ate great! Good coffee, juice, etc. Would stay here again.Only complaint that makes it lose a star is the vent in the toilet doesn't work and there's some weird chick with a baby outside every night acting like a freak.

We paid $189 for a suite the 1st 2 nights when we showed up. Added 1 night after that for $207, then decided to stay 2 more nights for $550. Just to find out the dishwasher didn't work. Wondered why the fridge light didn't work, figured it out when I got food poisoning on the last day. Complained about the noise upstairs, pounding around for 8 hours asked the receptionist and she said that they were cleaning a room above us.. for 8 hours obviously, housekeeping was put off by being asked for towels or shampoo or taking trash after staying a week. Breakfast was the same thing everyday, dry eggs and sausage.

If I could give it a 0 rating I would. It started with not getting the room we reserved on choicehotels.com the manager telling us we got the room we got at a cheaper rate than we should have to avoid having to adjust our rate or refund. Then there was the ants. The kitchen area was not useable due to ants EVERYWHERE. There was what appeared to be mold on the ceiling. The stove hadn’t been cleaned in months there were crumbs on top of the refrigerator. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Stayed here because of work for a week. The place is decently clean. The beds are springy and old. The room is outdated. The breakfast was hit and miss. They have a lot of long term tenants that make it their home. Smell of weed and cigarette smoke is not uncommon when you come and go. At the end of the day, it could of been a lot worse but it could also been a lot better. Treat it as a 2 star hotel. Will not stay here again.

This was our third visit to Burlington Smart Suites. We have always been pleased with this place, and once again, they delivered a great experience. The location is perfect, and close to all Burlington has to offer. We were in and out of the city, Williston, and Colchester in minutes. The manager or assistant was courteous, and helpful. Our room was clean and spacious. The place is a great find. Thanks to all for making it a favorite of ours in the Burlington area.
