I stumbled upon this vineyard with a couple friends and we were delighted to be met with friendly, knowledgeable, and professional staff who were attentive and respectful. The barn-esque building is tastefully designed and decorated. The inviting ambience draws you in to take a seat at the bar or a high top table, or depending upon the weather to sit out on the patio overlooking the vineyard. The wine flights are reasonably priced and a good variety to choose from. There’s ciders too! I recommend coming to visit Shelburne Vineyard, whether it’s a couple of you or a large group. You’ll be happy you did!

Such a great place. Kate took wonderful care of us and our kids as we sampled a flight. The wine isn't just great quality, but they'll go into detail about the process on growing, harvesting, and bottling, and everything in between.

I am a Midwest winemaker who makes many of the same hybrid grapes. We were out to see family and stopped here 4/13/24. I was excited to try the wines. We were greeted by a rude server. We were asked if we had a reservation. We said no and then found out we did not need one. We sat and waited for the server for 25-30 min. We approached the bar and were rudely told she would come take our order. After another 15 min a group member got up again and told her we were ready. She sent a younger server who had just clocked in to take our order. I did like 2of5 of the samples and would have purchased a bottle or two but I just couldn’t support such a terrible experience.

Lovely atmosphere and staff. We really enjoyed the bluegrass in the loft. (It was full but they found us a table after a no show and were super nice about it.)There are good wine and cider options, some better than others. I tried the white wine flight and was pleasantly surprised.

This is one of our favorite places to bring visitors. It's such a lovely place to go for a picnic and wine tasters. You can even bring some of your own food if you'd like! Though, I'd highly recommend their cheese selection and their cranberry crackers.I also can't speak highly enough of their Wine Club membership. It's great and is a win win! If you come with one other person, you get up to 2 free flights of tastes or 2 free glasses of wine per visit in addition to discounted bottles. Can't recommend it enough if you are local! We just do the pick up option. :)

My friends and I were visiting for a girls weekend and met Amelia who works at the winery on the second day of our trip. She was LOVELY. She gave us amazing recommendations for bars and restaurants in the area and was overall a highlight of our experience because of her outgoingness and kindness. Can’t wait to come back to the winery on my next trip!

Gorgeous (but small) winery. Reservation recommended for weekends, but I didn’t need one to sit two at the bar. Super fun to taste wines and walk around the vines. I tasted (with permission) a grape off the vine and it was the best grape I’ve probably ever eaten and I have eaten grapes many times before. Staff are knowledgeable. It’s not cheap, but definitely worth it for the experience you are getting. Also BYOF if you are gonna stay awhile.

I was so disappointed with the service at this place. There were 3 people in the tasting room who were already served when we arrived. The tasting room associate asked if we had a reservation, which we did not, but apparently we did not need one. It took 45 MINUTES before we got a menu or any service. Within that time no new customers came in, so don’t get the idea that it was busy. If I could give 0 stars I would 👎🏻👎🏻

We enjoyed the view, the outside setting, and the service. Our son enjoyed the sheep that walked through the vineyard. I highly recommend the 2020 Celestial and 2019 Vidal Fizz.

Shelburne Vineyard is one of my favorite places to bring my friends, family, partner, dogs, acquaintances, etc. I became a "Barrel Thief" (wine club member) last year and it is the best wine club membership: every single time I go, I get a comp'd wine tasting for myself and a friend. It's a wonderful way to spend the afternoon, to show people a beautiful area of Vermont, and they keep producing new unique wines, making it a great experience every time. The music in the evenings in the summer also adds to the ambience. I suggest Shelburne Vineyard to anyone visiting the Burlington area, it's a must see.

Came here on a tuesday evening. It was busy so make sure to make a reservation ahead of time. As a party of one i got seated luckily as a walk in on the patio. The grounds are pretty they have little sheep outside you can look at while sipping your wine. You can also order snacks at this location. Free surface parking lot and right across the street is an amazing pizzeria and brewery as well. Nice clean place with helpful staff.

I personally didn’t enjoy the wines but we got the cheese, fig jam, and crackers and that was really nice. It was also cool that we got to keep the wine glass so we could have a nice souvenir of Vermont.

Tasty tasty tasty wine tastings for such reasonable pricing. I believe currently $14 for the most expensive flight. The outdoor seating options were plentiful and felt like the vineyard was doing the best thing possible to keep their staff safe while being open. Beautiful scenery. Tasty charcuterie options. Would definitely return!

We went there to hear a band that was playing. My friend and I each had a flight of wine. The place is very nice and the staff are friendly and attentive.

The Louise is honestly my favorite white at the moment! Got a bottle to bring home and it’s so versatile (and also just so good to just sip on). The Iapetus orange wines are also exquisite. The winery itself is also so lovely— it is so pleasant to just sit on the patio over the vineyard. It was a beautiful place to be during sunset! I split a flight and it was perfect — it’s great that there are so many options. We also got the jasper hill cheese with crackers (both delicious, especially with wine) and I was really impressed with the portion size given that it really wasn’t that expensive!

Really enjoyed this place!! The Scenic views as you sip wine overlooking the vineyards was truly one of my favorite parts of our New England tour! There’s even a friendly little pup that runs around the kids enjoyed playing with!

I want to start by saying the wine selection is delicious - they really have some good stuff here. The building is beautiful and the patio is stellar. That said, even with a reservation and 5 staff working behind the very small bar we sat at, no one even said hi to us for over 30 minutes. Perhaps we should've said something sooner, but we have both been in the service industry ourselves and hate to be "Karens." Finally, someone came over and said hi and semi-apologized by saying they were busy - but it really wasn't that busy and other families and tables seemed to get their wine just fine. There also are not enough tables in the entire place to warrant 5 people all being so slammed they can't say hello. Then it took an additional 28 minutes to get our flight tasting. Our reservation was at 3, we finally tasted our first sip of wine at 4pm, only when we finally got up to leave. This was truly a first for me and was really disappointing as the place is so beautiful and wine selection was so good. Beyond hesitant to stop back in, even with how good the wine was.

Venue is quaint both the indoor tasting room and outdoor patio. As a red wine drinker, I was surprised how much I had a taste for the IAPETUS whites but found the reds a bit disappointing across the board.

I've been visiting this vineyard anytime I see my family up here. It's so much fun. Flights are so tasty and the views are super beautiful. And now sheep?! Perrrrfect!

They were able to accommodate a party of 6 +2 babies at a moments notice. Very nice staff, and the Monday special with macrons was amazing. Pricier than some other area vineyards, but they have quality fare.

I wish I had read the current reviews before going. Lets start with I would like a refund. $50 dollars for 3 tasting which is outrageous for 18 ounces of wine usually GOOD wineries have $5 tastings and a bucket/water for rinsing glasses. There was one okay wine out of the whole tasting. The ciders are not good either. The wine tender will not explain anything or give you any kind of experience. Please don't go here your better of giving away $50 to the homeless.

We were so excited to get married at Shelburne Vineyard. It started off well with the original event manager however unfortunately, when she left, we were not made aware of this. There wasn’t a transitional email or phone call from anyone at the vineyard to let us know where to send questions or who our vendor's new point of contact would be. We started to get nervous as our messages to Taylor (the old event planner) went unanswered. Eventually once we reached out to the main email connected to the vineyard we heard from Sarah Travelpiece. Sarah did not introduce herself so we were not sure if she was an existing staff member or the new event coordinator. We did ask her who she was in afollow-up email and she then informed us to contact her moving forward and that Taylor’s emails were often missed and sent to her junk mail. Additionally, a month prior to our wedding she sent us an email that was curt and very confusing about our duties as renters of the venue. This was after we had to put her and VT Tent Company on an email together because she hadn’t been responding to the agent who had called several times. We thought this might have been a hiccup in the passing of responsibilities from Taylor to Sarah so we excused it. However, again DAYS before our wedding Pizzeria Verita and VT Tent Company separately reached out to us letting us know they had both called and emailed Sarah to no avail. We were told told us she had a family emergency which is why she had not been responsive. We thought that if this was the case someone from the vineyard would have stepped in on her behalf given an upcoming wedding was a week or less away. This was extremely stressful. When we arrived at 5PM on the day of our wedding we were surprised that while we were going to pay an extra 1000 to rent the venue 30 minutes early (at 5 instead of 5:30) there were still patrons being serviced until 5:30p This was difficult as both were drinking, not ready to leave, and we felt we were intruding on their evening while also knowing we needed to set up the centerpieces, dancefloor, rearrange tables, etcetera. The event coordinator was no help to us. She and the staff did very little to assist in the set-up process. While our wedding party set up the area the staff members were seen drinking wine behind the bar, texting on their phones, and talking amongst themselves and at no time did they ask if they could assist. At the end of the night our caterer gave the staff pizza to be stored for us and this was not given to us and we were not told about it until our vendors followed up with us when asking for feedback. We found all of this very unprofessional and the lack of support from the vineyard disheartening. We reached out to the owners several times and they also did not reply. This was all very upsetting. While the venue is beautiful I would not recommend this place due to the lack of management, organization and professionalism.ADDENDUM, reply to Shelburne Vineyard:Your reply is just simply dishonest. I’ve added the emails we sent (twice) with no reply from Ken and Gail (9/4 and 9/24). They were sent to the emails listed on your website for the owners. When asked for an alternative way to speak to the owners no one has replied or reached out to us. If you actually cared about you’re patrons these things would have occurred. Very disappointing.

Not a very good experience. The hostess didn’t even understand the difference between dry and sweet wines. They advertise a $15 tasting and receive a wine glass but on checkout was told they no longer give glasses so paid $30 for 8 mediocre one ounce pours. All the wine tasted like apples which is probably due to their recent merge with a cider operation. Overall just so-so wine.

We really enjoyed this place! 2 of us shared the wine and cheese tasting here. You get 2 red wines and 2 whites with delicious cheeses and flat crackers. Perfect place to come and warm up after a morning hike!

Super quaint winery! All the staff were super nice, they gave us a little impomptu tour. The tasting was well done and a good value. The best part might be the shady area off the tasting room overlooking the vineyard, super relaxing and casual. There's a table next to us and they brought playing cards - so awesome.

unfortunately, not a good first impression. was visiting family in the area, heard all about this beautiful vibe heard but after being seated we never received service and left after an hour and a half. one guest asked an employee if we had to order at the bar or if we would be approached by a staff member at our table and we were told they would come to us. except they never did. unfortunate as we were excited for the promotional tasting flights.
