I love this Stewart's Shop. Even though it's small, the staff are always really welcoming. The muffins, donuts, coffee, and milkshakes are incredible and reasonably priced. The Free Air in the parking lot is a convenient feature.

Visit this location often and strongly dislike the loitering that takes place outside the front of the store. Lots of people smoking cigs that other customers have to walk thru the smoke of and just crowds the entrance to the store. Tyler and Tammy do a great job serving everyone there, anytime they are there I know everything will be handled correctly and never had an issue with either one of them.

Every single time I go to Stewart’s on State Street, it’s an awful experience. Tyler is the most disrespectful person I’ve ever dealt with. Throws my change at me like I’m nothing and doesn’t even bother to tell me my total when I check out. Tried to get corporate to do something but they couldn’t care less. Don’t shop at the State Street location. Not to mention the store is filthy and a lot of folks hanging around the store entrance bumming cigarettes and money from people. Avoid State Street Stewart’s.

I come to the Stewart’s about once a week, I am unsure of the cashiers name, but I believe he was the new manager. I was trying to buy some wine and I told the cashier before he even asked that I did not have my ID on me; and without hesitation he aggressively ripped the products off of the counter creating a scene and making it seem as if I was going to steal them. I understand that it is in a bad area but not every person that comes in to this store is a bad person, treating people like this is going to deter the good people from wanting to come in here… like myself. A simple “No” would have been better but instead he created a situation that made me look and feel like a criminal.Hopefully management can provide some training and guidance to help them handle situations like this more appropriately in the future.

I think the ownership/management/staff have done a great job with this State St Stewarts location. It feels safer than it was years ago and all the employees are amazing! Seriously, I love shopping here because employees treat people with respect, and I know that is difficult with all the special Rutland characters they have to deal with. Stewarts might just be a chain, but the people who work at this branch make Stewarts look amazing and I hope they all get a raise. Paul's holiday hats are a riot!Michael (Mike) the mini mafioso manager at Denny's who is extremely rude to regular customers needs to be trained here - other than the fact that even his ugly aura would be a drain on the wonderful vibe of this store!

Convenient location. Friendly staff. Accept EBT and credit cards. Debit also accepted. Great hours. 6am til midnight on state street. Other ones open til 11pm I believe.

How does adding picnic tables to accommodate lowlifes who are hanging out, swearing, and talking trash about anyone walking by a plus? I would have stopped there on my way home tonight if not for the group of people hanging out outside.
