Had a great experience recently. Got a lot of great deals on holiday decor! Really friendly lady at the check out counter. We’re going to go back again today since they were putting more out as we were shopping at the end of the day.

The shelves are pretty empty and the prices are not reasonable for a center that has everything donated to them. The DVDs for $3 and VHS are .99c, books are $1-3. You can’t even get these prices in online garage sales.

Most miserable employees I’ve encountered. Rude and unhelpful. To say this place appears extremely understaffed is an understatement. They huff and puff when a customer needs assistance, but have time to talk loudly about customers in the office while a line of people wait to check out. If you don’t like being in the retail/service industry find something else. I had donations to drop off but I will be taking them elsewhere.

I worked at a goodwill in AZ when I lived there and this Goodwill does not follow the pricing rules. They overprice there items and openly complain about the poor people snatching items in the store from there store which has all %100 donated inventory from the residents of the community to mainly help those lower income people by providing less expensive items that again this store does not provide. So in my opinion lower your price to the normal goodwill amount and do the every other Saturday 50% off storewide sale they do in Arizona stores and I bet you will see much less people stealing from you.

Odd someone gets robbed in the store and they need to go to corporate office for the video....inside job? Enjoy the money..always making more, and not spending at a good named store lol

The store is a mess probably because they aren’t selling anything and the racks are stuffed. I spent a couple hours there looking through all departments. The prices were ridiculous especially because of the condition they were in. Very poor organization. This is probably the worst Goodwill I have been in across many states. Other shoppers were muttering and leaving with out anything. Silly considering that everything is donated. If they cut all their prices in half they might be in line with other stores and actually sell stuff.

Prices are a bit much, they legit have retail or higher than retail on collectibles and the like. They had $100 on a pair of high heals in the case and $40 on a sports figure that was legit selling in the $30-40 range shipped on EBay. Would not recommend shopping there unless you’re hoping to get lucky or pay full price for things. You can find decent prices on things though, and a good place to get bulk clothing and the like at decent prices. But I think that when you get everything for free, charging full price is a bit much.Staff is always very friendly and nice though, so I’ll give them points where they deserve it. Not a bad store, but definitely one that’s lining their pockets from donations.

If you are a donor, be aware they may reject seeming good stuff. I’ve been donating for 20 years at different places and never had stuff rejected. On top of that they don’t come out to tell you that until you are driving away.

I used to go to Goodwill with my husband once or twice a day. But then it became not fun anymore with the drastic change in all the great workers they had. They seemed to be replaced by favorites of the person in charge who is no longer there. Now that Carrie has stepped up to the plate with Tyler as her side kick the place is a friendly place to go again. It is now clean and neat and the help are no longer getting the merchandise before the public sees it. It’s a nice change and they deserve a compliment on how things are going on now. The only thing that is missing is the nice lady who used to sell the jewelry named Donna. I used to spent a lot of money for she was an excellent salesperson. But all in all it’s my favorite store to shop in where they all call you by name. They are doing a great job. They represent your company very well.

The people here at goodwill in rutland vermont are absolutely amazing. Great attitude and does there best they can with pricing things. The donation People are vary respectful and goes though things to make sure they are not broken or in fact not garbage. I personally respect everyone who works there for doing there job and going though the stuff that gets donated. I also understand as some people do not understand that it is not goodwill its self about what they can and not take it's corporate of goodwill who decides. Please understand That it goes for every store Higher up Controls the store not the people who work there.

The store is always quantitatively well stocked. Lately not so much, I would think because of the lack of donations during Covid. The staff is always SUPER nice and friendly. The selection lately just not been so good. I will say, the selection of skis, snow boards, and ski clothing is always in and out super quickly because of the proximity of Killington. But if you get lucky, well, a big money saver.

I was very disappointed in the way the employees treated me and my fiance as paying customers tonight. I wanted to buy a pair of sneakers for my man and because they where improperly priced they took them away from us and said we couldn't purchase them at the normal price until tomorrow. I was buying other clothing and willing to pay any price for the shoes, the staff was rude and had no concern for my needs. The fact that people shop there in need and most things are used and donated to the store , I found this unacceptable and rude. I am on a budget and need stuff for Christmas. I do not recommend shopping here.

Reasonably well organized for a second hand shop of its size. Inventory cycles through fairly quickly. Still kinda feels like the video rental place it used to be.

The best Goodwill store I've been to (and I've been to many). My kiddo and I go every Sunday for "necklace shopping" (she loves jewelry and they have a fantastic selection) and inevitably leave w/much, much, more than a necklace. They also have amazing sales randomly. (Today it was "all clothes $1" and a few weeks ago it was "all coats $2). Plus, the folks working there are helpful and friendly. The kids' section and toy section is small, but the other factors well make up for this!

Great store. Nice selection. Friendly staff. Prices are strange and can be too high, but I think that's how goodwill is now. Also why put outdated textbooks on the shelf. Price the stuff to sell. You will still make money.

I was a regular here until today. After looking around I found a great tshirt for my son and a few other things. Because the shirt did not have a tag they could not sell it to me. This happened to me last week too. Total waste of my time, so I decided not to purchase anything. Not to mention the prices have gone up quite a bit. I won't be going go back. This was the Rutland store some time ago and btw it smells terrible in that store.

The staff is usually friendly. For a business that gets almost everything donated, they are asking much more than a good price. Pricing nationwide for this retailing giant,, owned by individual franchise owners, needs a more than competitive and reasonable price overhaul.

Great place! All staff was friendly. Prices are unbeatable. I bought 42 items for $77. The fitting rooms were clean and readily available. I absolutely love coming here!

Prices have gone up too much. Stuff is cheaper at Burlington Goodwill, ironically! Also, if merchandise can't be sold without sticker then it shouldn't be out on the floor without one. Every single time I go in I find something I want without a sticker. It's like they do it just to mess with us.

I saw crockpots for sale at prices higher than the new one I just bought at Walmart, and baking pans for nearly as much as new. It's the same with much of the clothing and without regard for an item's condition. Goodwill needs to get a grip on pricing, which has risen drastically over the years. I don't mind paying a fair price for decent used goods but it's ridiculous to see so many items priced so close to new, or a ratty item of clothing priced the same as one in good condition.

Since you can no longer drop off in Rutland, my donations will be going elsewhere. I will not be waiting in line for a young attendant, dragging his heels, wearing a mask on his chin, to tell me to wait for a van full of items to be unloaded before I can donate my box of dishes. He is on a weird power trip.

I saw a microwave that was on a shelf and it had dirt falling off of it. Not to mention 2 really rude employees that were talking about a customer behind there back. I know it's for a good cause but there is no need to be rude, expensive, not clean there just losing customers.

The Goodwill located in Rutland Vermont is very picky about what donations it will accept. I tried unsuccessfully to drop off clean but gently used clothes, toys, and some Knick knacks. The Good Will employee went through the bags and boxes and handed back what he didn’t like. He refused the toys due to Covid and told me he was sick of wiping everything down. I brought my donations to 4Tees in Rutland. They accepted everything and were very grateful. Good bye Goodwill. Hello 4Tees.

I've been going there for a couple years now, but the cashier cost them a customer. I was trying to purchase a dvd and she said that there was no tag. I asked her to get the manager and instead she just kept talking about how the dvd needed to go out back and in a few hours it will be have a new tag placed on it. Should have got the manager as I asked. I can take a hint, you don't want my money.

Sometimes I really score at this Goodwill, other times nothing catches my eye. It's worth checking out every once in a while because I have gotten some nice home decor and clothes! Never know!

Great addition to Rutland County. Staff is very friendly, I don't feel like I am the dregs of society like I do at other local used clothing stores. Thanks for the dignity :) It makes a difference.

It was good. A big store. Not really full. We have to give more for those truly in need. You could find something you need.
