This was our first time going to Robert Frost Cabins and boy are we hooked. From the lovely location, to the immaculate rooms we have fallen in love with this magical place. The twists that we received on the first day were amazing and just made us feel so welcomed. We have already booked our next trip and can't wait to visit this lovely area of Vermont. Oh yes and they found my cell phone that was buried in snow and they shipped it to me! This is the type of kindness and care that we rarely see nowadays and we truly appreciate it. Keep doing what you are doing guys, you have created something special!

What a gem! We came to Vermont this past weekend for a last minute ski trip. While we were looking for places to stay, the Robert Frost Mountain Cabins came up and we are so glad they did. They were able to accommodate us at the last minute and when we got to our cabin, it was just what needed. Everything was clean and comfy. We brought dinner to cook and had a quiet night, enjoying the beautiful surroundings. Later, we enjoyed the hot tub under the stars. I was impressed with all the care that was taken to making guests feel comfortable and taken care of. The literal icing on the cake was the picnic basket of warm cinnamon twists on our doorstep in the morning. Do yourself a favor, unplug, and rejuvenate in the mountains. You won't be sorry! We are hoping to make it back again soon!

The cabins and host are fantastic! Cabin is very clean, spacious, warm, great towels, all around a solid "A".The road there is a typical Vermont dirt in some parts and paved in other parts road. You're only on it for 10 minutes to get to Middlebury so reasonable except on a snowy or icy day.

This place was absolutely gorgeous in every sense of the word. The cabins are stunning, with high quality amenities, furniture, linens, and appliances. The insulation was perfect even in 75 mph winds and the tap water is some of the best I've ever tasted.Marty was kind enough to give us a stick of butter when we mentioned going to the store for some before inclement weather. His wife delivered complimentary homemade cinnamon twists our first morning that melted in your mouth.Absolutely everything about this stay was perfect, and I'm so sorry to be leaving it but definitely looking forward to coming back again in the future.

Marty is the best host my girlfriend and I have seen! This place was beautiful and relaxing. We got stuck down Marty’s driveway because of the snow and he helped us out and then led the way to our cabin and helped us carry our stuff in. Amazing price for the experience, will be returning!Nearby activities: Middlebury is a 20 minute drive and has everything you’ll need for the trip!

I lived in Ripton, Vermont as a small child, and last year I was able to locate my old home (the corncrib house) with the help of Marty at Robert Frost Mountain Cabins. It was surreal to be back there after 47 years. I decided right then and there, after seeing how gorgeous the property at RFMC was, that I wanted to go back the following year and stay there, and that’s exactly what we did.The experience was, in a word, magical. The cabins were gorgeous - cozy and comforting with everything you could possibly need - and the view! It was majestic. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch staring at the mountains, cozying up in the reading book, and sitting in front of the fireplace. The beds were so comfy, and the cabin was immaculate (and I’m very hard to please in that area). We also thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, as well as the gorgeous Trillium Trail on property. The signature cinnamon twists that were delivered to us on the first morning of our stay were heavenly. We did not want to leave this wonderful place. I can say with no hesitation that this is now my favorite place. We cannot wait to go back and will stay longer next time. When the website for the cabins says that it is a place to come and heal, this could not be further from the truth. I have had a very difficult year, and I felt renewed, refreshed, and on my way to healing after spending time here. Book a stay. You will be so happy that you did.Thank you, Carol and Marty.

Just got home from a romantic weekend away, and I miss this place already! Marty was super nice and helpful! Loved the environment and the scenic views. so much to do on the property. And the cabins are *Chefs kiss*! The photos online don't do this place justice. The neighboring towns have things to do as well. If you were thinking about staying here, don't think. JUST GO!

We had a board of directors working retreat and it was the perfect location! The owners are amazing and helpful. The location is beautiful and well thought out. The grounds are peaceful. The meeting room was perfect for our group of about 30. The cabins are perfect and very clean. WIFI was awesome. Just overall an amazing experience and we will return!

We planned to stay for one night just for the experience, but when we got there we had to extend our stay for another night. It was truly a phenomenal stay in a cabin that felt like home in a quiet and peaceful wilderness. The host was very mindful of allowing us to enjoy the privacy, and accommodating with the change in reservation and friendly with us and our pet dog. Bonus for the high speed internet.Would recommend and I hope to be back with other family members and friends.

There aren't even words to describe how amazing this place is! The property is gorgeous and perfectly maintained with care and pride. The cabin was immaculate, cozy, with every detail accounted for and everything you need readily available. The hosts were gracious and helpful with recommendations for restaurants. It is remote enough to feel the serenity and peace of VT, but close enough to a town with more amenities if needed. It is also so nice to have a place we can bring our dog, as he is not an easy dog to leave behind and this often limits our travel. After 2 minutes in our cabin, we said "you think we can buy this and just stay here forever?!" We will absolutely be back! Thank you Carol & Marty for creating this little slice of heaven.

Marty and Carol were incredible hosts. They welcomed us and gave us the inside scoop on the property! We had access to blueberries and fresh raspberries and a great mile long trail on the property! First morning we had some delicious cinnamon twists waiting on our step. It was so peaceful and enjoyable. Even when we were being a little loud Marty kindly told us to just turn down the music a little but was EXTREMELY nice about it.We were pleasantly surprised with all the activities that there was to do on the property-- hot tub, lawn games, fire pits! We originally anticipated to be out of the cabin all day but we ended up staying on the property the whole time because we were enjoying it that much.Thank you for having us! Looking forward to staying here again!

We travelled from Illinois on our first trip to the mountains of Vermont. Staying at one of Carol and Marty's cabins made the trip worthwhile, and we hope that more midwesterners will take this opportunity to visit their property in this very beautiful state. Our cabin was the best of both worlds. It had a rustic feel, but it was tastefully decorated, and had all the amenities of home. At the same time, when you sat on the screened porch, you knew you were in the middle of a forest (but with no bugs). They own over 100 acres of property that look out on to the Green Mountains, where there is no development. So you look at undisturbed forest. Much of the property is a hiking trail, but about 6 or so acres is a well tended common area field with a fire pit, outdoor games, chairs where you can just relax and think, and space for your dog to run around and go crazy. There is a building for laundry, with an upstairs area with books, movies, a workout area, and a place to play games.Carol and Marty are first class hosts who try to think of everything to make you happy. On your first morning, Carol gives your group a basket of arguably the best cinnamon rolls we ever had. It was a wonderful property and a really nice place to relax.

There are very few cabins as well appointed and no friendlier ownersFrom well before you arrive, you are kept updated as to what to expect upon arrival. The cabins a comfortable, with heat and ac..used both during our stay.It truly is like a home away from home, with everything you need for a few days to several weeks. The woods, mountains and views are spectacular.Marty and Carol are friendly and always looking for ways to make your stay more enjoyable. The romance package was wonderful. They even posted my wife's name on the entry sign wishing her a happy birthday.

The 7 RFM Cabins are in an idyllic setting. They are beautifully crafted with wood from the property. The woodwork inside is outstanding and we would recommend just "taking in" the beams, finishes etc.We staying in Cabin #6. There was parking for one car. Outside outlets allowed us to charge our electric car. Our view from the front kitchen window was of the access road, a generator and small building. Our screened back porch contained a table and six chairs with a view of the woods and private fire pit.The cabin had a full size fridge, microwave, utensils and cookware. Cleaning supplies were provided under the sink. There weren't any cabinets open for our dry goods, so plan on using counter space or one of the many spaces in the two bedrooms. The bedding and mattress were of high quality. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen seats 4 and the tabled expanded for the 2 of us to start a puzzle while still using it for meals. The living room included a gas fireplace, HD Smart TV, window seat, couch and rocking chair. The living room furniture were the ONLY place where there was room for improvement. The futon couch was very uncomfortable and low to the ground. Being that were are the on the wrong side of age 50, we would have loved a normal couch and/or recliners. The cabin is only 5-6 years old and the owners built with care. The windows all worked well and we could tell the cabin was well insulated because it "breathed" if a door was opened/closed and when the morning sun warmed the cabin in the morning. The cabin had heat and AC and we very much appreciated since we have found many accommodations in VT that forgo AC.Although we weren't able to make use of the fire pit, the owners provide free wood and equipment for making s'mores.Nearby, there is a large common area equipped with comfortable furniture, games, DVDs, tea, coffee, restrooms, a hot tub and more.Outside was a panoramic view of the mountains, hiking, hammocks, giant fire pit and more.On moonless nights, you will experience "advanced darkness" with zero light pollution. We recommend bringing a powerful flashlight and blanket and walking to the common area to lie on the ground and gaze at the stars. It is apparent that the owners have gone to great lengths to create a welcoming destination with nearly every amenity you could expect from a luxury hotel/lodge.We have travelled throughout Vermont and have stayed at many cabins, hotels, AIRBNBs, bed and breakfasts, and RVs. RFM Cabins is by far the best place we have stayed. We hope to visit again with friends and family!

We had such an incredible time at Cabin #2. It was so warm, cozy and clean. We loved the private screened in back porch where we saw four live deer ten feet from the grill. The cabins offer plenty of dishes to cook a full meal, lots of towels and everything we needed. This was our second annual stay at Robert Frost Cabins and we loved it both times. We will absolutely be returning.Love Trish &Lance

We stayed at the Robert Frost Mountain Cabins in October 2021 and enjoyed them so much we returned this year. These are NOT cabins- they are little, comfortable homes with all the amenities needed for a great stay- including warm cinnamon twists the first morning you are there. They area is so beautiful and the foliage (our reason for going) was stunning. Another great trip!

The atmosphere was amazing. The cabins are absolutely beautiful, clean, and pleasant. We also purchased the Romance package as part of our honeymoon getaway and thoroughly enjoyed the wine, chocolates, and local cheeses in our arrival basket. Although here to enjoy an experience away from the city, having the business class wifi was nice. Additionally, the cabin we booked, the #6 Evening Star, had a lovely secluded campfire, perfect for a romantic night under the stars for just the two of us to enjoy. And the large screened and covered back deck was perfect for sitting out in the rain and enjoying the sounds of nature. When we come back again, we'll be bringing friends for the next adventure.

Our first visit to Robert Frost Mountain Cabins was excellent. We saw photos online but the cabin and surrounding area was more beautiful in person. It was so peaceful and we enjoyed spending time in front of the gas fireplace, cooking and reading. We felt very comfortable and the cabin was clean. We especially enjoyed the freshly baked cinnamon rolls! It was a great place to slow down, recharge and relax. We also went hiking around the property in the snow, very pretty! We can’t wait to come back again.

The owners have to be the finest hosts I have ever experienced. The number of tiny details they have worked out and the magnificence of their cabins and location cannot be outdone. Out in the woods with all the comforts of home. I wish my home was anywhere near this nice. Super welcoming people. Gorgeous countryside. The epitome of a tranquil hideaway!

Robert Frost Mountain Cabins is a lovely place to stay. Reasonably priced, privacy, quiet, peaceful, and gorgeous scenery. The cabins are built by the owners from trees cut from the land and milled there as well. The craftsmanship is amazing - it's definitely not 'roughing' it which is perfect for me. The owners are lovely and will provide what they can within reason but will also leave you to your own if that is desired. The cabins are clean and maintained well. The trails are lovely. They were very conscientious regarding COVID safety/health guidelines and were very respectful. I definitely recommend this place if you want an off-the-beaten path quiet, peaceful, beautiful place to stay. And the cinnamon twists delivered in the morning to each cabin are to die for! I recommend bringing a swimsuit to try out the hot tub. I also recommend that you come prepared with some groceries - there's full kitchen - as going to a store/restaurant is not a quick trip (at least a 20-minute drive one-way) and there's really not restaurant delivery service to the area. This facility is designed to get away from it all and enjoy nature in my opinion.

Great place. Very well kept and maintained. Owners try to think of everything to make your stay as relaxing as possible. It's close enough to the woods where the outdoor types can get their fill of hikes and indoor types can still enjoy some of the cozy, technical advantages of home. Some of the cabins are pet friendly too, which is a plus for us as we have two dogs. This was our fourth visit and has become our most frequent place for family vacations.

Terrific cabins with everything available to keep you comfortable and entertained. Friendly receptive hosts make you feel welcome and valued. Extra touches, like warm cinnamon twists your first morning, are special.Rooms: The cabins are exceedingly well appointed and a screened in porch with a table and 6 chairs is a treat.Nearby activities: Outside and inside games, books, and dvds are provided. A fire pit with Adirondack chairs is cozy.

Myself and a friend planned our trip quickly without much notice. We arrived during a snow storm and the hostess answered all concerns about weather and directions. Even got us groceries beforehand. Once we arrived the host came to greet us and explain the cabin details and of the amenities. We were able to walk a trail and enjoy the most beautiful scenerie with a foot of snow on the ground. We loved the hot tub so much we used it twice in one day. Picture perfect. Incredible. Would highly recommend and look forward to returning.
