We left our 7 months old Havanese for 12 days at The Crate Escape. The people at this place are amazing. They treated our dog so well. We could see pics of Ziggy almost everyday. At pick up , the dog was bathed and brushed and even though he was happy to see us he hesitated when we asked him to come with us! . There is no doubt that we will be lodging Ziggy again for our next family vacation with The crate Escape.

The Crate Escape is the best! When we drop Quinn off she zooms in as though it’s a party just for her, with warm greetings by any and all staff. They always make me feel like she is their favorite, even though I’m sure they make everyone feel that way. We get a recap of her “vacation” at pick-up - and she always comes home happily exhausted from all the playtime. It’s a very warm place and I know she’s in great hands. The staff is awesome!

We can't say enough good things about the Crate Escape. We have been relying on them for boarding and day care for all three of our dogs for several years and they are excellent. They are reliable, caring, fun and truly care about the wellbeing of the dogs. Their attention to detail is remarkable. When one of our dogs' friends stopped attending day care on regular bases, they called us to tell us when he was scheduled to attend, so we can coordinate and bring her in as well. The dogs always come home happy and tired after attending their day care. Recently we boarded two of our dogs there for ten days. They ended up having a medical emergency and the owner stayed with them until late that night at the emergency vet while communicating with us all along. Then they continued taking care of them at the Crate Escape until we returned from our trip. Like I said, they genuinely care about the dogs and go above and beyond to ensure their well-being. It means so much to know that we have a reliable care for our dogs when traveling and that we have the peace of mind that they will be well-taken care of while we are gone. Everyone there is so kind and caring, we strongly recommend the Crate Escape.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. From the very beginning they’ve been so wonderful with my rescue dog who is pretty reactive to other dogs. They’ve successfully grouped him with dogs he can play with and if they can’t he gets so much love from the people who work there. They take the time to get to know each and every dog there and they are very intentional about everything they do. I truly don’t know what I’d do without this place! Thank you Crate Escape!

Our 6 month old pittie mix named Moose absolutely loves going to daycare here! At drop off time, he tears out of the car and runs right up the ramp to the front door! I love how the staff carefully chooses which dogs to group together for play time, and they tell us fun details about his interactions during the day.

We have a 10 year old Jack Russell/Beagle and have left her for daycare and boarding at Crate Escape since she was 10. She is adored and well cared for and always happy and healthy when we return. She has so much fun that I don't think she wants to come home! They are the best.

Tony, our black lab puppy LOVES Crate Escape! The staff are excellent! They know each dog by name and report back on who their friends are and how they spend their time during their stay. They post photos daily. I always feel comfortable dropping Tony off, even for long trips. I know he will be cared for and loved and that he will have a blast with his dog and human friends!

I’ve brought my boy Remi in a few times for daycare and boating and he absolutely loves it here. He’s always so excited to go play with his new friends and comes home tired at the end of the day. The prices for boarding, daycare and toys are very reasonable too!

The Crate Escape came highly recommended to us. Their registration process was detailed and they required a lot of information, but I appreciated that level of detail. We only boarded our lab for a weekend, but we are very pleased with the service we received. She came back to us happy and healthy. She even tried to run back inside! We will for sure be using them again.

Charlie has been going to Crate Escape for daycare one day a week since he was just a pup. We started bringing him for boarding this year and have had the same great experience as we do when he is there for the day. The staff is friendly and competent.Charlie loves going there and comes home tired and happy. We feel comfortable leaving him there and know that he is in fantastic hands while we are gone. We had a great experience in leaving our dog at the Crate Escape. Our dog unfortunately had some bowel issues on this particular trip. He was scheduled for a stay for our family vacation. We received a call from the Crate escape team a few nights in letting us know our dog was not feeling the best. We of course played out all the scenarios, but the team kept us assured that he would be fine. They eventually had to take him to the vet to get him some medicine and stayed with him throughout the process keeping us in the loop along the way.We are very pleased with everything the team did for our dog and would recommend crate escape for anyone looking for a team of caring and dedicated individuals to look after your pup.

We love the Crate Escape, though not nearly as much as our dog does! (At this point, she recognizes the Richmond exit of 89.) The team is so responsive, understanding, and accommodating. When we pick her up after daycare or boarding, they tell us which other dogs our pup played with, which is always nice to hear. I would recommend Crate Escape to any dog owner in the area.

We like nearly everything about this place. Our German Shepherd loves going there once a week. He starts whining and yelping when we get near it, and he jumps out of the car and up the ramp when I finally let him out. We have boarded him there in the past and we recently boarded him for 12 days. He came home tired and content; just the way we like him. The staff is engaged and enthusiastic about dogs. I'd like to give 'honorable mention' to Dee. She's been there for the 4.5 years that we have been going; she's a good ambassador for Crate.. I gave 5 stars although there is one thing that concerns me: no one is on-site overnight.A staff member comes back for "bed check" sometime between 8:00 and 10 p.m. when the dogs are let out to relieve themselves, fresh water, etc then the next staff member arrives before 6 a.m. All in all, we LOVE The Crate Escape. The yard is multi-level, clean, well managed and interesting for the dogs. The staff groups the dogs into appropriate 'packs.' Our boy has been elsewhere as a youngster but his enthusiasm for the Crate tells the story: he enjoys his time there. We feel confident recommending the Crate Escape.
